Quote:Considering the vast majority of the client's installation size consists of textures, it's highly unlikely it'd require too much additional disk space (hell, since it probably runs on *nix, you could probably fit the entire server + a minimum linux install into a 2 gig virtual machine).
As far as size, I think the earlier poster overestimates what the server code (on a single person server) would be like - the server doesn't have to deal with graphics and the like, just call out to the client what's where. -
Quote:Is it Intel, AMD (ATI), or nVidia? Which series (i.e. 8800 for nvidia, etc)? The amount of (hopefully dedicated) memory doesn't really say very much.

Posting the CoH Helper and HiJack This logs that our friendly 5th Column Zombie Man posted links to would include a lot of the useful information. -
Quote:I'm not sure I've ever usedNo, it made me think it WAS sarcasm, but the
kind of counterbalanced that into a whole mess of I don't know what...
on these forums to denote anything other than sarcasm. I'm not one prone to nerd rage (unless you claim binds are processed right-to-left... then I'll find your house and stab you in your sleep

Quote:Well, based on the world in Watchmen, it's very likely that where the world was going was full blown nuclear war between the US and Soviet Union... So Ozymandias blowing up a few cities and framing Dr. Manhattan, which forced the US and Soviet Union into a truce, could be seen as the more peaceful of the two possible outcomes.I'm probably biassed, because I have a villain who is essentially MADE of this clause, seeking to create a world which would be quite literally perfect, but doing so in such a way that is many times worse than leaving the world as it is. -

Quote:SSK is stupid! The old system was sooo much easier to use, and took so much less time to manage!I love SSK as well. What I don't love is debating with people who don't understand how it works. I've had this happen a few times since I-16. Usually they'll ask about it and I'll lay down the 411 and they promptly follow up with a "that sounds stupid".
-.-
Words I haven't heard since i16 went live: 'Oops, I guess it was an old mission' -
Quote:Purely based on the film portrayal (as I haven't read the comic version), I'd call him gray (based on my definition, not Sam's). Many of his actions are bad, but what his (ultimate) goal as well as what he accomplishes is good, putting him squarely in the category of a utilitarian hero (which'd often be portrayed as a always-losing villain in older comics). So Sam...
Is Osmandius (from the Watchmen) a hero, villain, or grey? I always thought of him as a hero, but given what he did, he could easily count as a villain.
But of course, villains can't ever actually suceed, so he must be either a grey or a hero...
I'd say that Manticore is a very mild version of a Utilitarian Hero... he'll often take morally questionable approaches in the name of the end results, but at the same time he never takes it very far like others have/would. -
Quote:Could be an interesting way to buff sets that underperform when set IOs are added into the picture (but perform adequately with just commons/SOs).Set specific. So let's say for Fire Blasters, have one called Flame of the Phoenix, but only usable by Blasters. Sets like that.
Quote:Kitsune, do you ever take a break from the forums, lol.
(Actually, I've been away from the boards for months at a time... it's just that when I am paying attention to the boards, I'll check it periodically throughout the day, as internet access is readily available where I am) -
No. Macros run a string of commands, and so do binds. You can't trigger a bind from a macro, or a bind from a bind, or a macro from a macro, etc. All of them are limited to turning on 1 toggle at a time.
-
Are you asking for set specific IOs? Or power specific IOs?
-
It's a bug. You can basically just ignore it and pick up Summon Widow anyways, it'll just incorrectly mark it as red in the power selection section instead of green.

Quote:On their website they have a REAL uninstaller buried somewhere... I've had to use it on more than one occasion (damn OEM installs...). It's really pathetic what Symanetec has turned Norton into... Norton used to be the best of the best, but now people will instantly tell you to uninstall it, and anything related to it.Worst part is, it wouldn't remove all of the Norton's stuff from the machine. They are pretty notorious for leaving stuff behind when uninstalling. I ended up going through my registry by hand once, removing everything from them I could find, because it wouldn't allow me to install something else. The program was gone, but it left behind a registry entry that said it was still installed.

Quote:I still have a crap load of HOs sitting in my Warshade's inventory and on Wentworths from the old-style Hami Raids... and I'm still activeYeah i got that part, havent heard from those since the old WB tricks...
But some lvl52 synt Nucleosus got sold this month....
so unless an old player who was innactive had those in reserve and just sold them....
then... someone found a way...I've never bothered to slot them, and never bothered to sell them.

Everything looks perfectly normal for me...?

Rares? x8/-1 with bosses enabled. You want to maximize the number of enemies killed.

Quote:It stopped happening several hours ago, and would only happen if you went to http://boards.cityofheroes.com/ (http://boards.cityofheroes.com/index.php or any other page wouldn't cause it to happen) and looked at the 'Welcome, <name>' box.I have 'remember enabled' and so did not manually log in and have no identity crisis.
For all those with a secret identity... did you log in manually?
I was already logged in... I haven't relogged in in quite a while -
And people say my YouTube links are horrible! That guy should be SHOT! No, he should have his mouth sown shut, stabbed in the eyes, stabbed in the larynx, and be given cement shoes and thrown in the middle of the ocean.
