  1. I wanna bring Gigahurtz, my 41 Elec/Elec Broot
  2. My shift changed at work & I can do Sat Mats again.

I wanna bring my 43 Empathy/Illusion controller Ferrell
  3. i made this guy a few months after GR went live, long before today. His name is Domhnaill, a family name

  4. Not sure if this has been said before but...

Way back when CoV went live, I made a ninja blade/ninjitu stalker. I loved everything about him, still do. He even had ninja-like animations with every power. I'm not sure when it changed but Ninja Reflexes & Danger Sense no longer have those ninja-like animations, they have the same animations as Tough & Weave. It sorta ruins a character who looks disciplined & precise with his blade & healing, but once you click on his defense powers if they should ever drop, he looks like a boxer from the Bronx. Can we have those animations back?
  5. I loved the very 1st winter event, except for all the people who WL PLed. But with all the water areas turned to ice, it was fun fighting on that.
  6. I've always wondered why didn't they have the AE tutorial give a badge like the Inventions tutorial.
  7. Anyone else having an issue with badghunter? Ever since they switched servers, none of my characters are being updated whenever I earn a badge, no new forum posts since. If there is a problem, anyone know how long this will last or if there is a fix?
  8. My blaster needs it, lvl 50 Elec/Elec Killerhurtz
  9. More dying animations, and make them selectable. The ghouls dying animation looks cool & the Praetorian Clockwork animation would be good for any robot toons. I'd like to see any mobs/players with a rocket pack turned on, have their pack malfunction & shoot them straight up into the sky, explode, & they fall back down to the ground. An "AVENGE ME!" type emote would be cool, have a hand reach out to the nearest ally, over-dramatically. Another could be you're stunned, then just fall straight onto your back. Maybe add something extra where when you are defeated and don't rez for a bit, your arms & legs would twitch uncontrollably
  10. that was extra awesome, i've never seen so many pets at once, thx for the badges
  11. this is one of the very few saturdays I'll have off, I wanna bring my 50 Elec/Elec Blaster Killerhurtz
  12. anything that uses a weapon: claws, dual blades, broadsword, ninja blade, katana

Wasn't trying to jump down anyone's throat. But I do agree that overall I'm just very disappointed with the way things are going right now with beta. I do understand that the devs are very busy working the kinks out of GR for live release, but I had kept my account active for that amount of time "knowing" that this would be my for sure chance to get into GR closed beta to help test the sh*t out of it. Back in CoV beta, I was invited a week or 2 before it went live & back then it felt more like "look at the new shinys" instead of helping squash bugs because most (if not all) the bugs were squashed. I'm not gonna ragequit or move to another game because of all of this, I love it too much. Just very disappointing so far with absolutely no news regarding the rest of the beta invites, just speculation.

I agree with this completely. You summed it up for me.

Because we were told we were to be invited to the closed beta. Most of us (including myself) took it as part of the 1st waves to help catch major bugs & issues. But letting us in a week or 2 before it goes to open beta is pretty ****** if you ask me. GR is going live in less than a month & I haven't heard of any news regarding when the Loyalty programmers or 60 month vets will be allowed. But if its just going to be a week or 2 before open beta, then why did I even bother?

But when do the Loyalty Program & 60 month veterans get their closed beta invites?
  17. It seems Justice couldn't handle all of the AWESOME & burnt out.
  18. I keep getting "Lost connection to DBserver" whenever I click Justice. I can get into the other servers just not Justice. Anyone else having problems?
  19. Must.....get......new badges...........on.......alts...............
  20. TONS of memories:

--Making my 1st hero just after the very 1st Halloween event in November 2004 & discovering the newness of the different zones. I remember going to Skyway City from Atlas Park's gate & seeing a bad guy named Ogre. He was purple so it was pretty intimidating seeing him. I shot him once & ran as fast as I could back to Atlas Park.

--Joining my 1st PUG & seeing what kind of chaos (and deaths) can come from them, fun all the same if you're not a stickler about debt.

--Joining my 1st SG & meeting like-minded people who love the game as much as I do. And teaming with them every chance we got.

--camping out with tons of other people to fight the Paladin, Lusca, & Ghost Ship. Quite a few people had theories of spawning them. One that was most ridiculous yet fun was nearly 50 people forming a giant circle & doing /em jumpingjacks for Lusca.

--the 1st Column vs. Council battles, as epic as they were.

--the 1st Winter Event where everything that was water was turned to ice. They really need to bring that back. Minus the WL orgies.

--meeting the Devs in-game, have yet to make it to any of the Cons, not sure if it'll ever happen so I'm perfectly happy with meeting them in-game.

--badges, no matter how much you suffer for them, its always a good feeling to see the "Badge Earned" font.

--getting my 1st toon to level 50. I had promised myself I was not making any other characters besides my 1 guy until I achieved 50, and did it, without any PLing.

--joining the 1st All Blaster 3rd Respec on Justice @ level 49. I had died so much & accrued an ungodly amount of debt, before there was a debt cap I believe. We failed it & posted about it on the forums. After hearing the amount of debt I had @ level 49, so close to level 50 yet so far away, there were quite a few people who had volunteered to team & help me pay the debt off. Luckily, we got a full team, & ran mission after mission, until the very last debt I had paid earned me level 50. It really showed how much of a community this game really is.

--telling the new players the old "You have it easy in todays game. Back in my day there were no newspaper/radio missions, no SG TP, no Ouro TP, no Mission TP, no Auction House, and you could 6-slot any power with the same type of enhancement with out the enhancements lossing effectiveness."

--winning my 1st costume contest. Made me feel like a celebrity for a few seconds.

--getting my g/f & son into the game, they like it.

    --dual pistols, best animations ever.

--send influence/infamy by email, BEST thing EVER!

--many many more I could prolly come up with but this is getting super long.....
  21. I agree that CoX needs more advertising to get more players to play this game. I love it. I talk to a lot of people & suggest this game to them & most of them have never even heard of it. And the only reason I started playing was because of an old coworker. Back in 2004 we were having a discussion of video games while working & he started talking about his controller in some superhero game. And since I was a big fan of comics & superheroes, I decided to try it & the rest was history.

More people need to know of this game from other than word-of-mouth. I do think that more advertising should be done. I know a lot of people at work talked about the WoW TV ads. But I don't believe for a second that Mr T & Ozzy Osborne play WoW. If you were to do a TV ad, I would try to find a celebrity who actually plays it. I know TV ads can be expensive, but they do pay off.

Comic adverting is perfect for this game. Its like someone said earlier: "You like superheroes & supervillains? Come play CoX where you can actually MAKE & PLAY them." Along with that, why not advertise on comic websites? I know Marvel & DC are getting their own MMOs soon & they will be the competition, but why not try to get some ads on their sites? There's also a site I watch regularly called superherohype.com. Mostly gives news about superhero movies coming soon. Put a few ads there.

I would love to be able to buy CoH loot. Since I just happen to be Joe Bob Stranger in Iowa (I'm really in Iowa) I don't have the money or time to go to any of the cons. But I would love to have some of the CoH goodies I've been hearing about.
  22. Justice Badges & Justice United are the channels I use for badges. Also have a good SG to help as well as some friends in TA
  23. If I'm available as well, I have a SS/Fire tank that can SMASH!
