fair enough. just make sure, when you start shootin [censored] with your energy attacks that you have your target up against a wall and not getting knocked into other groups that will aggro and wipe your team.
energy is an ok set, it really is, but if you dont play smart, you're just gonna screw over the people depending on you.
elec is still a better set... decent damage and end drain proc. -
grav is fine, but if you're gonna go that route go grav/elec.
all you'll do with energy is piss off every single person you group with. -
thanks divine
i think ive got a decent build in mind, my biggest problem is slotting to maximize what the set can do in pvp...
but hey, im a cov noob again and might have the most ineffective build ever. me am ignorant of all the changes the games gone through over the last year or so. -
radiation infection, ennervating field and lingering radiation should be taken as soon as they are available.
you will see a giant improvement in both damage output and damage taken with those. -
anyone have a good fire/rad corr pvp build?
i tried posting on the corr board, but didnt get any help.
i keep hearing that the /rad set is the new fotm for pvp, which is fine, even tho ive had a fire/rad corr since 05. ive never really pvpd in cov, but am looking to start.
any help would be appreciated.
explanations on power selection/slotting would be great as well -
nothing?
nobody has a build for a pvp fire/rad corr that they are having success with?
i just came back to the game a week ago, and was hoping for a little help.
too much to ask i guess. -
could somebody knowledgeable about such things please post a pvp build for a lvl 50 fire/rad?
something that isnt too expensive/hard to achieve would be nice.
utilizing mace mastery plz. i love that thing
thank you in advance. -
radiation emission is only good if the rest of your group knows how the /rad set works.
if they dont, expect to die a lot and get blamed for it. -
soloing is ridiculously easy with fire/rad. take mace mastery as your patron for the aoe immob and single target hold and you can litterally gather everything on a map and kill it all at once.
teaming is a different story. most people dont know how to team with a /rad. -
the only problem with the /rad set is that its heal is designed to work in conjunction with its debuffs. what usually ends up happening when i group with my fire/rad (first and only lvl 50 toon and the single most fun character ive ever played in any mmo) is that ill drop my debuffs on a mob (called an anchor, for any that didnt know) and start healing toss out my web envelope and drop rain of fire and some idiot has killed my anchor. so now my debuffs are recharging and my team is taking more damage than i can heal through without my debuffs killing the mobs acc.
so basically /rad is quite possibly the single most powerful secondary set a corruptor can have, but unless you're grouped with players that know not to kill the guy you're debuffing until last, its gonna be a rough go and people are gonna think you dont know what you're doing, when in fact its them screwing you over. -
