  1. I went with TW/DA and faceplant only happens in very specific situations: unable to heal while being in the middle of a non-momentum animation, overwhelming energy damage spikes, hard-hitting spawns with unusually high defense (because DA's heal needs to hit).

/Elec has a weakness to terrorize effects. It doesn't come up often at first, but the endgame has much more terrorize around than you'll see leveling up. Another thing to worry about is toxic damage, thankfully not too common. Energize gives extra regen for 30 sec, which makes the "faceplant while stuck in attack animation" issue a bit less problematic.

Personally, I have a hard time understanding tank type players who skip Taunt. If all you ever do is solo, it may not be -that- useful. Even then it's an AOE without an endurance cost that doesn't need a to hit check against mobs and cuts the targets' range by 75%. In teams... a Brute without Taunt is either a clueless noob or a highly competent, a bit selfish player.
  2. Not 100% sure this is the right place, but it'll do.

The new "NPCs can taunt PCs" mechanic is horribly annoying. Black Scorpion was sort of tolerable since it's a rare and special encounter, but the Eternal Order fights in the Night Ward arc... ugh. I played through Night Ward once and do not plan to do it again. Not worth the aggravation.

I hope the taunt-using NPCs aren't made more common. They're not challenging or entertaining, just irritating. Mezzes and such are part of the package, but things that mess with players' targeting like that are no-no.

I figured I'd go with Assault and crafted both Core and Radial T3s to test a bit before I deciding which T4 to make.

So far, the only effect I've seen from Radial is that the second half of my non-hide AS is energy damage rather than smashing.

Is it just me, or do these new features not play nice with criticals?
  4. Does the Celestial or Fire & Ice costume set offer any new Titan Weapons options? I've seen swords, maces and whatnot listed in the sets, but there's no indication whether or not anything can be used for TW.

Now would be the time to grab that stuff, I suppose, but I've yet to find screenshots showing the sets in close detail.
  5. Oh, I'd love to have full customization of pool powers. No more flaming hands for Hasten or glowing jetstream wrists and ankles for Combat Jumping.

I'd be willing to settle for the most horrible thing replaced with something bland but okay. I don't know anyone who actually likes the way Tough looks (and sounds). Some are neutral to it - mostly men. Many loathe it with passion - mostly women. I guess it works for Tarzan, not so much for Jane.
  6. A healthy cash shop MMO gives advantages to those players willing to pay extra. It becomes pay to win when the players are pitted against one another in PvP or some other competitive situation. Since CoX has minimal direct competition between players, the pay to win argument falls flat on its face.

People buy SBEs to avoid crafting, for exemplaring or to get advantages from the different proc mechanics. The proc advantages are going out the window with no restitution given to those who paid for them. It doesn't seem like good business to jilt the customers willing to pay a bit more.

I'm fairly certain I won't be buying more SBEs in the future.
  7. The Heightened Senses power from Willpower animates with a low sweep kick rather than the "look left and right" animation it should have. This also happens with some Mystic Fortune buffs.

This glitch has been in the game for a while now. Any word on fixing it?

Further, if it's so easy to replace animations that even a glitch can do it, WHY hasn't the animation for the Fighting pool power Tough been replaced with something less visually and aurally horrifying yet?

This may seem like a low priority issue, but Tough and the related screamy chest-beating really bother me to a point where I take extra steps to avoid that animation playing (activate toggle when running, switch it off before zoning). The Heightened Senses animation used to be the "top" thing animating after zoning, so Tough wouldn't play, but now that it's bugged, there's screaming and chest-beating on every zoning.

Since quality of life improvements are being worked on, could this not be added to the list with some priority? Tough is more or less a must-have power but the animation is so hideous it's starting to erode my enjoyment of the game.
  8. While I understand the need to tweak and fix things that are broken or out of whack, these particular changes in planning made me angry enough to finally register on the forum, just to post this.

I've bought PP for the exact purpose of getting market procs, BECAUSE they were guaranteed to fire on slow recharge heavy hitters. I wouldn't pay for something I can easily craft in game. Now you're going to change procs in a way that makes bought and crafted ones identical, making my purchases worthless... and making recharge bonuses less of a bonus and more of a penalty in the process.

This is wrong. I've paid for products that you're going to radically alter, for the worse. I don't want 90% chance (or who knows how much less), I PAID for 100% chance.

The current way works fine. Crafted procs are good for fast recharge powers, store-bought ones are an attractive option for slow recharge ones. The slow stuff is still, y'know, slow, so it's not like the advantage is earth-shattering. Don't try to fix what isn't broken.

Re-think this, please. It's a bad idea, all in all.
