From me, we have both Kadmon and Masked Shrike (pictured in the signature).
Kadmon is an ancient Muvian construct (physically, he's almost human, save for having bones made of orichalcum, skin like iron, and glowing eyes) with incredible regenerative powers and exceptional skill with a broadsword (backed up by his super-human golem strength). His being in Paragon City is the result of some incompetent magic use by Circle of Thorns wizards back in 2004, when they tried to summon a demon he had "banished" (read: Punched in the face until it decided it was better off back where it had come from) in 1136 AD, but got him instead. He was unhappy about that for a long time, but eventually got over it and has come to like his new surroundings.
Masked Shrike was a world-famous singer who happens to be a descendant of Mu (like close to 2 billion other humans in the world today, if memory serves). She attracted the attention of the Circle of Thorns when she was on tour in Paragon City. A certain swordsman with an ax to grind with the Circle (see above) came and stopped them. She returned for another tour about a year afterwards, where the Praetorian Earth version of Kadmon attempted to kidnap her. After one failed attempt, then one successful attempt, she became empowered by Kadmon and, since returning to Paragon City, has taken up the fight against injustice.

Does it count if I'm actually still working on it? I really am! Honest! In between all of my other work, that is... and the video games... It might be almost done, y'know!

I see mickey mouse, but I thought energy corruptors had red energy.

Nah, that's Dominators. -

Kadmon: either posting it here or emailing's just fine, I'll get it either way.

Sent by email. Expect it to come from DeusExSoulfire@aol.com. -
If Kadmon and Shrike only appear for the Circle chapter, that is fine. If you want them to show up further afterwards, be my guest. Also, there were a couple tidbits of information I forgot to put in there. How might I go about getting them in there?
-
My friend, that, in my humble opinion, is bloody incredible. Keep up the good work

5. The Fenris Project. None of the two chapters I have planned ahead have anything to do with the Council. So I'd like to put you in later as a chapterwide villain in a case Kadmon and Shrike are investigating. (I'll try to fit the CoT in there as well, since their stories are strongly tied to that villain group).

For the record, in case it isn't pretty obvious by this point, both Kadmon and Shrike are mine, so Shrike should probably be bumped back as a second character in the 10-person list I saw for heroes (unless that isn't really an issue)
Also, I love that 4Chan House picture -
I'm typing up one of your forms right now, and I'll probably type up another shortly afterwards
-
Well, why not? I probably won't win, but I'll be damned if I won't at least give it a shot.
Fiery Havoc is a Fire/Thermal Corruptor with the Mu Mastery Patron set.
From a (rather limited) story standpoint, she's the daughter of a half-demon and a descendant of Mu. As such, she has an amazing control of fire, and is learning control over electricity. -

To be perfectly honest, that's not so uncommon for me... -

Yesh she did, but I ate some delicious cake!

And somewhat less-delicious candles. -
I have a character I could put in here, but I don't want to because I don't want to reveal her bio just yet. So good luck to those who are entering characters in this, and congrats to whomever wins the sketch
-

For everyone hoping for a sketch: I am apartment-hunting, and this keeps me from drawing.
So don't hold your breath, unless you're going for a record!

I'm TOTALLY going for that record! -

I tried to kill it, but oh no, you just had to raise it from the grave. :P

Did you remember to dump salt on the grave after burying it face-down with a knife stabbed to the hilt in the dirt?

I knew I forgot a step.

EVERYONE forgets that step... Honestly, it's like they WANT their murdered victims to come back as zombies that are hellbent on revenge! -

Ooh... *thumbs up* just for mentioning the Rickenbacker.(I miss my bass... wasn't one of those, but I did want one...)

Heh, thanksI don't know why, I just love that bass. I can't play one myself, but that's the bass guitar I think of when someone mentions "bass guitar"

All of my refs are located in my signature. Now, on to the meat of this thread...
Kadmon (BS/Regen/Dark Mastery, Fly/Concealment/Presence/Fitness) is somewhere in the area of 14000 years old, a humanoid Golem created in the halls of Mu. Unlike later models of himself, this prototype was designed to learn through experience, and using the data garnered from this, the magic scientists of Mu created new golems to fight on the front lines. Kadmon, the original, however, had learned mercy, and refused to kill those who could no longer fight back. Because of this, he was imprisoned in orichalcum until the year 1130, when he was released without knowledge of who or what he was. Taken in by a church local to the western European country he'd awoken in, he became a paladin, hunting down, banishing, and destroying demons where he found them. It was on one of these hunts that he acquired his signature weapon, the sword of storms, Sturm.
Unfortunately, both for him, and for a certain rather incompetent group of Circle of Thorns wizards, he was accidentally caught in a demon summoning ritual. In 1136, having just banished the demon the Circle was attempting to summon, Kadmon found himself pulled forward in time almost a millennium. Now somewhat miffed and lost in Oranbega in the year 2004, he wandered for a few days, destroying Circle wizards utterly as he came across them. It wasn't until the second day of doing this that he realized he'd have been better off forcing one of them to show him the way out. Luck was on his side, though, as the third day he came across a magical lab that contained runes that had been designed for the Mu so many years earlier. Taking these prizes for his own (including a certain Rune of Recovery which fuels the lion's share of his regeneration), he used one to form himself a portal to the surface.
He has become accustomed to his new surroundings, using the same mental design that made him adaptable before, but he still doesn't QUITE understand some of the things humans do, not the least of which are yawning, whistling, and bouncing around when excited. Slowly but surely, his memory of his past life is returning to him. He can't sing, but he can cook well, predict the stock markets with alarming accuracy, and play one mean bass guitar (most commonly, on the Rickenbacker 4001).
Masked Shrike (Sonic Resonance/Dark Blast/Darkness Mastery, Fly/Fitness/Medicine) is about 24 years old, a former singer/songwriter and a descendent of Mu by the name of Serafina Dalton. Prior to meeting Kadmon, she was world-famous, often touring around the United States and other countries. After a Circle of Thorns kidnapping attempt that was thwarted by Kadmon, she took him on as a temporary bodyguard for her tours that took her into Paragon City. She went on a tour of Europe for a year after leaving Paragon City, only to return the next year. After another kidnapping attempt, again thwarted by Kadmon, but this time by Kadmon's Praetorian Earth counterpart Prima Ombra, she took up residence with the golem for a couple weeks while also practicing some of her own spells and getting some martial arts training under the former 5th Column oberst (and current zombie) Max Kampfer.
Ombra's second attempt to kidnap her was decidedly more successful, but threw Kadmon into a such a rage that he went to Praetorian Earth on his own to storm his double's fortress (the fact that a veritable army of other metahumans came in shortly afterwards to join him is hardly relevant). While there, he transfered a measure of his power to Serafina, unlocking the full potential of her Sonic magic and granting her shadow powers and super-human strength as well. She used these to help break herself out of the position of sacrificial-victim-to-be and hold off Prima Ombra until backup could arrive.
After escaping Praetorian Earth, she took up permanent residence in Kadmon's apartment and became the heroine Masked Shrike. She can't cook very well, but she does sing remarkably well, and can punch a hole in someone's eardrums with a whistle if she feels so inclined. She's generally kind-hearted, but has a bit of a temper. She tends to become somewhat bouncy when excited. -
My line of thinking on this matter is that the animations should be selectable from the ones we have in-game already, sans visual effects (I.E. Moment of Glory's fist-to-the-sky animation, minus the green particles). Then, as the original suggestion suggested, as we level up we can add the visual effects (I.E. Fist Raise + Soul Drain glow, fire, ice, etc.) as is necessary. Now, it could be that your initial animation pool is limited to, say, some of the emotes (Tarzan, flying Yoga, etc.) and powers already available from your primary/secondary (Whirling Hands, Instant Healing, Foot stomp, etc.), and that list increases as you either A) Purchase more animations, B) Gain levels C) Do missions D) Invent them (via issue 9's Invention system) or E) All of the above.
How does that work for you? -
[ QUOTE ]
now im starting to see the problem with the idea. The power creations are all awesome, but each one needs its own animation of some sort. It would be different if they could use some generic animation pool, but many of you are coming up with total custom ideas, with interesting, but unique animations.
say 500K people play CoH, and each one wants his own personalized animation...that would be as many or more animation codes than currently exsist in the game.
I support the concept, and the OP's idea, but im pretty sure thats the first thing the developers saw when they browsed this post. IF they did it at all, you would likely be given a selection of 20-30 animations to choose from, anything else would be like coding a new game. It would simply take them forever.
[/ QUOTE ]
Most of the ones I've come up with use pre-existing animations, just daisy-chained together into something more interesting. However, what you say here is indeed an obstacle that would need to be addressed. -
It occurs to me that one of the ones I put in here would require a lot of new animations, so I think I'll replace it with something more... workable
Serafina Dalton - Blurred Motion - She fades to Stealth levels of visibility, and is followed by a red trail of herself (like Synapse's aura), and her run speed and jump height increase slightly. Click power, +Stealth, +Run Speed, +Jump, +Def (Small). From a story standpoint, she's REALLY quick, and is supposed to be able to move fast enough to make her hard to see. The aura... Well, she REALLY likes the color red. -
