Isn't he only taking in requests in Febuary?
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, the next month is five days away... I understood it as he is taking requests for the next month.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yup yup, that's how it works. -
Alright all. I had a blast drawing a number of commissions and requests last year, and although I'll probably start that up again soon - I'm planning on doing something different for 2007.
Every month I'm going to be choosing one character and doing up a "calendar shot" of them.
For January, I have chosen YELLOW WOLF .
Now here is the fun part... I want a character for February. So, I would like it if you posted screenies of your characters during the next month and I will choose from that lot.
Every month I'll hold a giveaway like this. If you're not chosen for that month, feel free to enter the next (remember though, only 1 will be chosen per month).
Also, to increase your chances, make sure you post up a decent set of shots ( something akin to this ) and keep the calendar as your desktop for the month (that's right, I have ways of knowing!!!)
I hope everyone thinks this is cool, and I'd like it if you encourace your team mates to try.
See you next month.

It was all done in Photoshop.

I second everything wp said here, esspecialy the liking part
Cap looks a weee bit too Cyan/aqua colored. Spidey is perfect though. I bet you were trying to give them different shades of blue to make them contrast against each other?
Really though, superb lighting and coloring Jug

YUp, that was exactly why actually. Didn't want their blues too close together. -

I wish I could do colours like that... but... I suck at them... also I hate doing them... but pages look so much better with them... *sulks*
How long did it take you to do?
[/ QUOTE ]
Maybe 6+ hours. (?) -
wow, that is a serious role you are on man. I really like that "Spin" one ya did.
-
Thaks man. That was my first real attempt at a page.
-
I'm sure you all know that over the last year I've been working on my digital sketching and airbrushing... well, now I've decided to try my hand at coloring.
There are not my inks, but I like the finished job nonetheless.
The Capn' vs Spidey -
Actually, seeing all of this great art has inspired me as well.
I'm curious if we'll ever get this kind of stuff as a sticky. -

I thought this would be a good plce for everyone to post up some of their favorite pics from 2006.
They could be pics you've done, or had done. Ones of your characters, or just ones you've seen of others.
Post your favorites from this year - but let's try to keep it CoX related.
My favorites:
Mr Majesty by Bobbett
Comrade Hero by Luis XIII and inks by Sam Fonseca. Colours by Kieran Oats.
Bayani by MMOART
Recruitment Drive by Graver
Heaven and Hell II by Juggy
Actung Baby by Guildhelper
Crimson Jimson by Richardiovascular
And my personal favorite:
Chief Justice by Dark Jedi
So, anyone else have any favorites we might have missed this year? -

Here's a small update, just laying in some bas colors, so the additions aren't completely done yet! I was going to do more this morning, but it took forever to create my reference file for this pic (which I should have done at the beginning!) Anyhow, here's how it's going so far!
a littel flat color added
I'm hoping to get some good quality time with this piece this weekend barring any interruptions from RL.

Seriously cool man! -
I'd like to see more from ya before feeling able to give a critique.
-
Realy, I'd have to disagree.
But thanks guys.
guess that's why they call it art - subjective. -
FYI people, my wife has been out of town for the last week so I've had some extra time to do up a few.
Mostly they were piece s that I had intended to do awhile back and never got around to.
I'd love to do more, and I'll try. But each piece takes anywhere from 3-10 hours.
This time of year, time easily becomes tight.
