  1. Hey, speaking of, I noticed the other day that Pachamama has her Positron badge! I guess I got credit for that TF after all because I sure haven't run it again since that night.
  2. Any news on non-humanoid skeletons making it live for this? Pretending to be Robin or whatever is fine but I'm not really interested unless I can play a magical flying koala or talking alien dog or something. Maybe one who has magical powers that hilariously misfire in time of dire need.
  3. I've been to CC's where I won first place. I've been to CC's in the same costume where the judge didn't even pause to look at me as he ran back and forth down the line.

I've found it's best to just treat them as social occasions and a chance to hang with the community rather than sweat the prize money.

  5. Hooray! And thank you kind sir for your continual generosity.

Congrats Jophiel! So, will the art be of the newest character created???
Maybe. She did mention that it might take some time for her to be ready
  6. #1: Open ostriches offer orange ooze or ochre organs

    #2: 55

#3: Caemgen's mother was new at it and didn't really know how to construct a baby in her uterus yet. These things take practice. She'll do better with the next one.

#4: 'Cause deep down, Wassy knows she wants to draw a picture for me. So a vote for me is a vote for Wassy. And if you're not willing to vote for Wassy, you don't even belong in this thread.

Really, it looks kind of like a bushbaby or a lemur.

  9. New character I'm working on making. Not sure yet but I have a feeling it'll be a controller.

  10. Didn't they change the architecture in the Hollows & Faultline? I remember the Hollows being more difficult to travel through (especially without travel powers) with pits and cliffs and chasms and Faultline was re-designed to show the effects of construction and rebuilding.

In that case, I can see where it would take just as long to revamp a zone as to design a new one. Even the time you save by not redesigning the whole zone is then offset by making sure the new pieces fit together, making sure the new mission doors go where they should (I'm looking at you, "Mission door in the AE sidewalk" bug), new contact placement, etc.

If you were to "revamp" Steel Canyon by just changing the missions and onctacts I don't think it'd take so long. But I doubt many people would be impressed by it either.
  11. Personally I can't stand Brickstown. It's ugly, has annoying pipe/tunnel mazes that'll trip you up and the giant crowds of "prisoners" milling around the Zig is both ridiculous and depressing. Makes you wonder what you're even arresting folks for.

Although I'd be hard-pressed to defend putting it on the list, in my own world Skyway largely forgotten. Obviously I'll go there for the TF but I never take anyone on mission arcs there and never do radios there. The architecture is both annoying and ridiculous -- what's with the superhighways that run a mile and then convert back to two lane roads? What possible purpose would they serve even if they had traffic on them? "Hey, this zone needed a gimmick so here's some nonsensical road construction just to irritate you as you try to find your contact".

    New Larissa art!

I have my sigs turned off!

I should turn them back on at home. Hrm.
  13. I've never made a "canon" character but most of my first tier characters have some connection to Paragon City (typically through villain groups) to explain why they're in PC and not New York, Chicago or Seattle.

Polish Princess is hunting Nazi remnants in the form of the 5th Column, Pachamama was an Inca priestess consumed by the earth (it refused to let her die fighting Pizarro's armies) and released centuries later to help soothe the Devouring Earth and end the Hamidon's misguided influence, Rose Veldt is a big game hunter after the "giant monsters" which plague the city and the Lounge Crooner was promised a permanent stage gig at the Atlas Park Geneva Hotel.

Not deep canonical ties but they give me an answer for "Why are they here?"

    New Larissa art!

Very nice indeed! And, like you said, fun!

Also, Bayani changed his avatar and made it harder to tell when he posts.

He screwed Caemgen's horns up. Here, let CR show you how they should have been drawn...
  16. I think Kheldians should be available at level 1 but, once you reach lvl 50, they close the archetype and delete any on your account. That way you have to choose between playing a goofy space squid or having level 50's

Obviously Infernal "controls" the demons bound within his armor because if they had the capacity to animate his armor and punch him in the face, they'd be doing it already. The fact that they're not would indicate that they don't have the option, even if corset-girl asks them to using her nicest voice.
  18. Infernal. 102lb girls in corsets only defeat 250lb axe-weilding dudes in full armor as a plot device.

I can solo my Earth/Storm now that I'm over 32. Up until then, with the slight damage from my earth powers, Gale and Vet. Sands of Mu as my only damage sources, soloing was a miserable, miserable experience. The only reason I didn't abandon the character on about two hundred different occasions between levels 1-31 was because I enjoyed her bio concept/costume.

Of course, now that I'm lvl 36 I'm finding the character fun for both soloing and teams.

How do Malta & DE stack up? I never spent much time on psychic type characters but was under the impression that it was a feast or femine type thing -- either a group is very resistant to it or else has virtually no resistances.
  21. I'd see a movie based on the Rikti War. That would also solve a lot of game-to-film issues like the War Walls, hospital transporters and the Rouge Isles since those things either wouldn't yet exist or wouldn't really impact the plot.

When I say "see it", I suppose I mean "...on Blu-Ray" since the chance of my wife going to see it with me is about nil.
  22. I'm looking forward to all sorts of stuff but, short term, I wanna do the new Positron TF. I can't even bring myself to do the current one at the moment knowing that there's a new one coming that'll feel less like getting punched in the neck.
