I don't PvP....I have never pVp'd, I don't care about pVP, and really don't understand what all the hype about Pvp is.

If I wanted a PvP experience, I would have gone onto WoW and talked trash.

pVP should not be the contributing factor in anything that is PvE. PvE is what CoH is.

It would have been nice to know this before we started out Shadow Shard TF Marathon on Saturday (9/2/05).

It would have been even nicer if they had said "And don't bother petitioning for it at completion too as we are not awarding it you have to do the TF when the award works and not before because we hide obscure references to known bugs in places that a normal person doesn't go looking."

This wasn't a 'lost' reward.

This was earned. And not awarded.

As to the 'known issues', it does not say anything about not getting the reward at a later date by repeating the TF. It only says 'currently not issuing'.

Since the team did this after the time the badge is 'available', as there is a place holder for it in the 'Accomplishement', it should be available for installation.

Through notification via the petition system.

There is no notice that the award itself will not be awarded until it is working, no matter when the TF is done.

I can understand that the reward system may have a difficulty in automatically assigning it at completion, but if the data is made available to the 'higher ups' that the task was completed, there should not be a difficulty in awarding it.

What about those of us that have email notices and confirmations as to when the TF was done, and souvenirs?

I even have the message that says "oops, sorry, we shouldn't have" for the 4th one that I had the star for.

The idea that we, as a community, put real cash/money into the protection of an individual (even though they probably use the money to protect others) is what I needed when I had a very [very] bad time.

When I talked with M about putting a donation to Cimarron, she not only knew which puma I was talking about, she was 'happy as a clam' that we got together to do this.

So, I donated.

$600.00

It had been a very, very bad time at work and in my life at the time. I needed something to make myself feel better, and something that I knew could make another better.

I had asked M to keep it to herself, only to be released to Ish.


But, I have decided that there are some things out there more important than silence.


I am not saying this to draw attention to myself, as anyone that knows me will tell you that I hate that, but just to emphasize how the interaction of this community has made me a better person.

Actually, because of several pre-hami nerfs, it was determined that a controller with Vanguard would be even more uber during the 'hold phase' of a Hami raid. Hence, on Protector at least, several 'Monkey Runs' were done.

This was also pre-team XP/credit (nerf) of the range limit.

And the beauty that is Rikti Crash Site comes in. Allthough the island in PI that is Monkey Central offers opportunity for a couple of tanks to herd them while others with either Atomic/Nova/Mass Wipe them, the crash site has a couple of small pockets were the mokeys spawn. Just not as often.

The trade off, limiting herding/damage and smaller numbers versus major herding/damage and higher numbers it sort of works out mathematically. But, yes, those that went and did do the 10K should have some sort of acknowledgement.

But then we get into the argrument, maybe those that did the Terror Volta Trial before it's change should have a different badge.

The problem occurs in the dataming. Just in a database alone, the statement to do such a specific search of data would be more complex than is necessary, especially if we want the programmers/writers to give us more content. [I am happy with the current content, and look forward to the extra that comes in each Issue.]

Now for my next question, which has been expressed earlier, but I thought I would re-iterate it:

Can there be an 'official' site that lists the badges that are available to acquire?

As: Atlas Medallion (requires Spelunker, The Silver Bullet, The Slayer, Top Dog, and Pupil)

Since Pupil is a history badge, requiring the exploration (yeah, right, I don't know where to find them on the web) of plaques the requirement only lists the badges.

Speculation about the [someone else did it not me] Gaes of The Kind Accolade has run the gamut of what is needed.

With the advent of Global Chat, servers have set up channels for those that have known badge missions to offer to those that don't have the badge, missed the badge, or don't know that Badge is a story told by people to scare empaths.

How do you link a specific post, rather than a thread? If I want someone to see a specific post (by number) what do I put in the URL?

For those of us that received souvineers (either automatically or via petition) for the SS TF's, why are the badges not awarded retroactively?

It's not like we don't have proof.

Or, in my case, I have copies of all eMail/Petitions concerning the SS TF that I did, so can these be used to do specific proof/datamining?

Really, some of those SS TF are just........well they will be interesting when I5 goes live (as is).

Also, yes, those Coatoa Badges are just too.......cool and big.

I'm guessing, as since this is on Test, they are looking for input as to what can work, what works, what needs fixing.

Let me work on the list this weekend, I like those Ideas also......and also having the Origin, Ancillary Pool and maybe the SG of the 50's could make the list......but I would also make it harder to correlate the data, and might increase the time for posting.

I am also looking at having the list hosted on a web-site, maybe in MySQL, as I go along with it.

Both of the previous notices have been taken into account and the line entries updated.

Allthough the list Matches Malone sent me was very thorough and laid out very nicely, I just have trouble sometimes reading other people's data.

I have several ways of tracking the level 50s that are reported.

One of which is 'Unknown'

Okay, so you want to stealth your combat sets. I'm okay with that. As some people can use this list as to which people they want to 'take on' in the arena.

But.

For the statiscal analysis that I do, Primary and Secondary sets are sort of (read required) needed.

So.

If you wish to report/announce a friend, SG mate, whatever, as a new lvl 50 I ask only that you give me:

1. Name
2. Archetype
3. Primary Powerset
4. Secondary Powerset

If you wish, I also track Ancillary Power Pool (APP), Origin, and Supergroup.

Please.

To have more than 2 heroes of an Unknown type just is so....wrong.
