This is just incredible. Amazing work! Almost makes we want to stat RPing just so I can hang out there.

The farm I use just happens to be S/L. My build is softcapped to positional, rather than typed defense, so I would think I could do just as well on most any farm map.
As far as scrappers go, I can not speak from experience, but while I play a brute, when it comes to elec/shield, scrappers tend to be the standard. -
IF you like to PuG, Freedom may be your best choice as it has the highest population. As a native Freedomite, I will warn you that Atlas Park is flooded with AE spam, but once you leave Atlas, it gets much better.

My elec/shield brute is a farming machine. The key when making your build is recharge, recharge, and more recharge. With perma hasten and tier 4 spiritual, I have SC and LR up every 17 seconds, which as stated above, are your bread and butter powers in this combo. In the interest of full disclosure, I must say I have not tried a fiery aura farmer because I really dont farm all that much. I concede they may be faster, but my elec/shield can easily handle +4x8 smashing/lethal ambush farms, and he is just a blast to play. If you enjoy playing the combo, stick with it and build for more recharge.

I think this would be a great idea in perfect world, but with this game engine, it just isn't feasible. As others have said, the AI in this game is just horrible. I would love to team up with my alts and run some missions, but I just don't see how it would be possible. AE is one way to make it happen, but while I enjoy creating arcs, I find playing them to be unfulfillng because I know the ending

Awesome! Glad to hear you got the issue resolved. Feel free to shot me a PM here or a message in game if you ever need a team mate. My global name is @Guardian Irish-Fury. Freedom is my home server, but I would be happy to roll up a new toon on any server to run with you. The best part of this game is the community, and folks are generally very friendly and helpful in game.

Sorry to hear you are having a frustrating time of it, and I wish I could be more helpful. The only thing I can offer, which you may have already done is to call support and actually talk to someone instead of waiting on e mail communication. The support number from the NC Soft web site is 1-512-225-6359.
Aside from that, welcome to the game and to the forums. I'm sure once you are up and running you will be just as hooked as the rest of us. -
Just wanted to remind everyone that this week, we will begin our run of the villain side strike forces, so run those vigilante tips if you haven't aleady. If you are not vigilante, rogue, or villain, you will not be able to join us. This week's WST is the Virgil Tarikoss Strike force (lvl 15-20), so we will be starting there this Thursday. If you would like some help running vig tips this week, shoot me a tell or post below and I will happily bring an alt to help you out.

We generally see more defenders and corruptors than we do blasters. Aestra and Crow Seven are the blasters of the team. Vigil Ante Up is a traps/DP defender and his contribution to the team is very significant. I am a corruptor junkie, so when that is an option, I will always recommend corruptors (see sig). BraveStarr is a DP/Therm corr. My toon, Cobalt-Cowboy is a DP/Kin corr. If you roll up a dualie on Freedom, let me know and you can join us anytime.

It was a great night for dual pistols. At about the half way point of the Citadel TF, we decided to turn up the heat a bit. We tried +2 for a couple missions, and the challenge was still minimal. So for the back stretch we cranked it up to +4x8 to really see what we could handle. We hit a few tough spots, but all in all, it was a very successful and challenging run. We even got a celebratory screenshot after we took down Vandal, and quieted a Rikti Invasion in Talos.
From left to right: Aestra, Vigil Ante Up, Operative Clive, Cobalt-Cowboy, Crow Seven, and BraveStarr. Not Pictured: Mary Snow White.
After the team broke up, Three Kronos Titan GMs spawned in Talos Island. this is the second week in a row this has happened following DP night. Perhaps Malta is scared? -
We will be metting in Talos Island tonight at 7:00PM Central to run The Citadel Task Force. See you there!
Edit: Time permiting after we complete Citadel, we will hop over to Striga to run this week's WST The Moonfire Task Force. -
Quote:Very good advice. People keep telling me I need to make a fire/kin controller. I made one, played it to the mid 20s, and hated it. I just don't like controllers. Shaggy, if you don't like DP, then obviously you shouldn't play one. We're here to have fun. If you want to like DP, come join us and see what it is capable ofBut I highly reccomend, if you like something, don't listen to what others say.

While super powers are great, there is a lot to be said for shooting bad guys (or good guys) in the face with a gun. I know DP is considered a weak set, but my all dual pistols super team would beg to differ. We have gone guns a-blazin' through all six Freedom Phalanx TFs, the ITF, and the new Admiral Sutter TF with very few problems.
I am not a numbers guy, so I can't convince you with math that dual pistols is a great set, but I can extend you an invitation to join us on dual pistols night and watch the chaos and the carnage unfold.
With any powerset that gives you the option, I will always recommend rolling a corruptor (see signature). My dualie is a DP/Kin blue side corruptor currently at level 41, and I can easily solo +2x4. Fulcrum shift+hail of bullets+scourge=crazy awesome.
If your dualie is on Freedom, please join us for this week's DP TF. Click the link in my sig for details. -
Has this been addressed by the dev team at all? The new warehouse maps are close to unplayable for me, even on the lowest settings, due to the extreme lag.
-
This week, we are going to press the pause button on our descent in to villainy to run The Citadel Task Force since a couple of our regulars missed it the first time around. See you all on Thursday.

Am I the only one that assumed it was Anti-Matter and not Positron who sent the message to Dr Colston, and that Dr Colston is a Preatorian spy turned anti-Tyrant and now Anti-Matter is making a similar turn?

Superhuman Metabolism
Becasue I want to eat an entire bag of Oreos every day without the ensuing appearance of man-boobs. -
My speculation is born out of the fact that all of the incarnate content to date has been tied directly to Praetoria. I, too, would love to see the world of Praetoria expanded apart from the incarnate system because I am a big fan of the 1-20 content there.

Quote:This post made me chuckle at multiple points, particularly "badassitude debuff". +100 cool points for you.Crimson could beat up Keith Nance without even showing up to the fight. Keith Nance would run away screaming like a little girl at the mere rumor that Crimson wants to beat him up.
Crimson is the Nick Fury of CoH. All the other super sekrit agent types can get in line to bow before his badassitude. Except for Indigo, who is his sidekick, and Viridian, who is the anti-Crimson.
As to why villains can beat him up in the RSF, the Longbow uniform automatically bestows a badassitude debuff on anyone who wears it. Because Longbow are dorks. -
Since the new zone was mentioned in a paragraph where they were talking about developing non-incarnate content, I speculate it will not be related to Praetoria, and I hope it will be in the lvl 30-45 range.
-
Well, then chalk my misguided optimism up to my relative newbieness. Having been here less than a year I have yet to develop a sense of loathing for the game.
-
Fair enough, but the development team seems to be pretty enamoured with the incarnate system right now and I think it is likely we will see more ways for more people to play along. I would think they would want to show off their new shiny system to as many players as possible.

There was mention of "incarnate story arcs" being developed currrently, so perhaps there is a light at the end of the tunnel for the solo folks.
