  1. The Super Stunners were really a pain until Paragon let us in on their secret. I noticed after that that they rez with low hit points when there is just one person in melee range with them. Real easy to knock them back down.

I also learned that vigilantes can't join SFs.

    @Thunder Stryke
    Skorpyon Stryker
  2. I'll be in for this one; bringing my Dual Pistols Blaster (Officer Kitty Hawk)

    @Thunder Stryke
  3. Count me in.

    Thunder Stryke.

Not sure who I'll bring, and am flexible if the team needs something specific.
  4. Count me in.

@Thunder Stryke. I plan on bringing my 47ish fire/nrg blaster, Doctor Firestorm. Though I'll check if I have any dark or rad debuffs in the level range.
  5. That was fun.

Thanks for finding space for me even though I hadn't signed up. I didn't know I would be available until 5 to 10pm.

    Thunder Stryker
  6. For planning purposes: I'll be bringing my SS/WP brute, Bombshell Shocker. (@Thunder Stryke)
  7. @Thunder Stryke here. I hope to be in on this one. Not quite sure who I'll bring, hero or villain.
  8. Count me in with the same blaster as last week: Doctor Firestorm fire/energy.
  9. Count me in: @ thunderstryke, as either a scrapper or blaster.
  10. That was a lot of fun on my end.

My poor Tank, Freeze Crash had a rough time every now and then with the psi damage. It sure was a relief to face Crey for 1/2 the missions; they can't really hurt me! But the psi....OUCH!

That was my first time doing Dr. Q and I had wanted to play it for a long time. Thanks for having me along. Well worth the time.
  11. I absolutely want to be in on the one-night team.

Global is @Thunder Stryke. I can scrap, blast or tank as required.
  12. Bummer. For some reason, I saw Sunday instead of what was actually written.
  13. I'm interested; Scrapper. I'll be by Posi. Name's Mr Ito.
  14. Real life always takes precedence. Hope all is well, and catch you this Sunday. I ended up in a rather quick Numina TF with one of my numerous alts.
  15. No one has shown up; been here at the portal for a while...

    Is this week's SF postponed?
  16. I'm down for Silver Mantis. Never done it before and look forward to it. Mr. Ito and his Ninja henchmen...(Global is Thunder Stryke)
  17. I plan to be out for SFS this Sunday. Up for anything at all.
  18. I'm down for the respec trial. Hell, I'm down for doing both Along Came a Spider and the respec trial.
  19. If only these TFs were run at West-coast wife-aggro friendly times, like an hour or so later...

I have tons of interest in Faathim's TF.
  20. Either way is fine with me. If you make a new thread, as long as I know which one it is, I can be happy.

As for Mender Tessaract: I solo her every now and then with Mr. Ito. I'm happy to do in a team SF setting too. I guess I'm down for any old thing. My ninja will serve me wherever I go.

Post your suggestions here...I'm would like to do the Virgil, but thats me.... Polls close when ever I check the forums saturdayish.
    I am @Thunder Stryke/Bombshell Shocker.

Had a lot of fun and plan to be back for more SF fun this Sunday. Same time, I expect.

I have villains that span the level range up to 40 (on Victory) so can, and will, run anything in that range.
  22. I gave up on my Ninja/Poison MM a while back because they're just so flimsy.

Recently, I dug him out and respec'ed him: I turned him into the primary attacker, with the ninja in bodyguard mode. He's become very survivable and kicks ***...and is fun. The ninja only start fighting when I get attacked, so the Alpha doesn't kill them, and by that point the big bad is debuffed and possibly held.

I've really enjoyed the ninja this second time around, and they are really very effective in this role.
  23. I was really glad that I stumbled across the TFs just before they started. Thanks for letting Baal Forzenki come along.

I hope to be able to make it for Citadel, though I'll have to be 'Iffy' for it.

And thanks, MB, for telling me to check these forums for these signups. Looks like I'll be able to get into TFs more regularly now.

Baal Forzenki: lvl 30 Inv/Dual Blades Tank.
  24. I wanted to share my thoughts on the best way to not only make Rain of Fire effective in an AoE fire blaster, but make it the crowning touch to your AoE attack chain.

People are always down on Rain of Fire, all because of the way it scatters the bad guys. Don’t use it that way. There’s no doubt that the big attack in your fire chain if Fire Breath, and it should be the first thing you use. If you lead off with Rain of Fire, the enemy scatter and you just breathe fire on empty space.

My attack chain, which leaves everything but the bosses dead, is simple: Start with Build Up and line up the mob, selecting the central baddie. Then use Fire Breath. Once the damage starts ticking off, you can hit them with Fireball. This should pretty well finish off the minions. Then last thing to hit them with is Rain of Fire. This panics anything left standing (and satisfyingly kills them off) while making it hard for them to run up to you for melee attacks.

My Fire Blast/Energy Manipulation blaster’s build is not terribly subtle; I have the Fire attacks slotted for damage and recharge, along with Aim (slotted for recharge x3) and Build Up (recharge x3). I also use Hasten (recharge x3) but I don’t really have much in the way of IO sets. I skipped Flares as I don’t plan on fighting single targets at all, and I needed all my powers early on to get Fire Ball, Fire Breath, Rain of Fire and Build Up. Once I had those I was off to the races.

Addition melee attacks are meant for fun, and I alternate between Aim and Build Up so that I always have one of them buffing me. I don’t want to waste Build Up duration time activating Aim, or vice versa.

With Rain of Fire to close the show, the only thing left standing are some seriously concerned bosses, and with Blaze to keep them nice and warm, you can just unpack the marshmallows.

Don’t make the mistake of thinking that Rain is bad because of the panic it causes. Just make it so that panic is the last thing the baddies do.
