I look forward to Faathim the Kind tomorrow. I believe our last run was about 2 and a half hours which isnt too bad since this TF is worth 73 merits. I'll be running either my fire blaster Infernal Marquis or my shield tank Crimson Training Bot, so look for me in the Chantry. I'll be at the contact inside the giant death star in the middle of the map

the Scavenger Hunt winners were:

Burly's ceremony is at 6pm EST in the Crimson Order base. There will be a Crimson Order member standing at the base portal in Atlas, so just send that person a tell to get invited to a team to access the base. Following the ceremony will be a CC in Atlas Park with a scavenger hunt immediately afterwards. Prizes for the CC and hunt are the same. The way the scavenger hunt will work is like this: you'll receive a clue from a member of the Crimson Order. Figuring out the clue will lead you to the next waypoint, badge marker, geographical location or other some such spot in Paragon that is well known where there will be another Crimson Order member ready with your next clue.

10 clues, 10 zones, 440 million in cash between both events. If a team wins the scavenger hunt, the payout will be divided by the team.

1st place - 100 million
2nd place - 70 million
3rd place - 40 million
4th place - 10 million
5th place - /e clap

strong run on the Justin Augustine. we wrapped things up in under an hour and a half. 3 scrappers, 2 tanks, 2 controllers, 1 blaster.

We got Sara Moore coming up next weekend, and since it's one of my favorites we might do something special for those attending. i'll post more on that later.

edited the original post. Justin Augustine had a bug that was causing it to grant 24 merits instead of 42, but it has been fixed and the OP now displays the correct reward amount. Good thing too since I planned on running that one tomorrow.

thanks for the heads up. for more details, here is a link to the Microsoft Malware Protection Center's encyclopedia entry which has information on how the worm works, how to find it, and how to remove it. looks like it can only spread through removable media, so be sure to run a thorough scan on any external harddrives that contain any of your game content. It's especially important to note that Microsoft DOES NOT recommend you attempt to manually remove the worm.

In all that time, my "forum presence" was limited but it's been picking up lately and that's when I started noticing GEL and Outlaw Woman. I joined the SisterhoodFriends channel as a result and now I team with them pretty often. good group

nobody turned out for the Dr Q on 10/24/09. We'll try again next weekend, although I'm not sure what kind of activity we can expect on Halloween day. It might be 11/07/09 before we have enough people. Regardless, I'll be in FBZ on 10/31/09 at 1pm EST in case enough people do show up for Dr Quarterfield. Remember folks, it's worth 122 merits.

I actually ran into American Valor at Talos WentWorth's the other night and he took the time to give me a tour of his base. It was a well thought out plot with RP aspects and a universal theme that you dont find in many bases these days. I then ran into him again the following day for the Sisterhood's respect TF. I went 2 years without running into this guy and them BAM twice in 2 days.

Faathim the Kind TF completed in 2:34:31. Our empath quit on the 3rd or 4th mission, but we still had a fire/kin, 2 blasters, 2 tanks, and 2 scrappers. Several of the missions are stealthable, so I respec'd my shield/battle axe tank and picked up recall friend prior to starting.

We had enough people show up so we ran 2 teams simultaneously. Team 2 had the same team build, but they lost their fire/kin and a blaster. They were able to finish the TF in 3:22:56.

It's not just EU servers. I play on Liberty, a North American server, and had a problem with a level pacted elect/elect scrapper having the same mission complete bonus for prestige regardless of difficulty setting. My level pact partner was getting the correct prestige amount but I was not. When I sent the petition, they escalated it. I then got a response via email stating that my rewards will be different because I am in a level pact. I questioned the logic of that and they escalated it again. I then got another response telling me that leveling pacts cause influence and XP to be split. I said "duh" but not prestige (paraphrasing there) and they escalated it again. The last GM told me that my level pacted character was not always online at the same time as my level pacted partner, so it was possible for the two different characters to have different prestige amounts on the SG roster.

I less than politely asked them to re-read the original /petition regarding mission complete rewards for prestige being the same amount regardless of the difficulty setting. I got a response stating that they did testing and a lvl 33 character gets 275 prestige, so for me to get 344 at lvl 35 "sounds about right since they are in the same ballpark." I had to explain to the GM how prestige amounts are not based on level. I then explained the difficulty settings and how they affect mission complete rewards. I then decided that the whole level pacted thing was obviously confusing them so I switched to an equal level character and even included a screen shot showing the difficulty setting at +4 (x8 players) only granting 344 prestige.

I got the standard "this is a bug" response and no further support. Once the toon broke past level 40, the prestige amounts for mission complete rewards was back to being scaled for difficulty settings.

I did not originally send the /petition as a bug as I was the only person affected. I will never contact NCSupport again based on this experience.

As for my own team, we had a few folks with some connectivity issues so we wrapped things up in 3hrs and 5mins, but we all had some fun and got 64 merits each, so all in all, not a bad day.
