*Dies of air deprevation* -
If any of you have bothered to read the last five or so pages of the thread, all of that is carefully detailed and listed.
-
There's no way sigs can happen wiuthout color customization. Simply won't happen.
-
A good thirty minutes of trudging through sand, being attacked by sixteen more sandworms, being assaulted by legions of the dead, and falling into more then one seemingly bottomless pit later, a very weary looking Rag man wandering out of the desert and into a swamp. He had originally been heading for the forest but being eaten by sandworms sixteen times in a row, then bursting through their stomach walls will tend to divert which direction one heads in.
The rag man now looked even more...well...raggedy. He had sand and grit embedded in the tears in the cloth that formed him, randomly scattered rocks had taken to nesting in his body, and there was a small cactus sticking out from the rag man's head.
The Lord of Rags took five steps into the swamp.
Then promptly fell into the large marsh-hole in front of him.
The rag man fell into the water, which closed over his head in a heart-beat. He didn't even seem to notice, he just kept walking through the muddy murk of the water. Searching. -
((*facepalm* I HAD to pick the feakin desert didn't I?))
The Lord of Rags was bowled over by the wave of sand. However, he had no flesh nor bone to be carried away. He was a pile of animated rags. The individual bits of cloth simply passed through the wave.
The wave of sand continued forward, the Lord of Rags reforming behind it. However, the simple intelligence behind the animation magics that held the rag man together had been temporarilly disoriented and confused by the sudden change of direction. Not facing the tower any longer, the bloody rage and the urgent feeling to get to the tower momentarilly vanished.
The Rag man now how some time to actually think.
Had it been summoned by the Rag Ritual? No, unlikely. If it had been summoned via the ritual, it would have been bound already, or at least been conjured in front of the objective. It must have been brought forth by other means.
This presented a slight dilema, however. The rag man was used to following orders. That will happen to you when all you know is various combat stances and techniques, and know absolutely nothing about the actual world around you.
The Rag man currently had no master to give orders. So what should he do independantly?
The simple intelligence thought for a moment, and finally came to a conclusion. Independant thought would probably cause it to revert to possessive form, which was not acceptable. So it had to find a master.
Looking to the West, the rag man spotted a dense forest not half a mile away. He started to trudge towards it at a slow pace... -
((Burning, what about the Response to the LoR?
.....
I can't believe I just said that...)) -
I agree with the others. Amazing writing style.
Only mistake I spotted was that you didn't really include rules. -
I'm begining to think Sig Powers should have their recharge based on how they are designed.
-
((Ahem.
Crimson Wolf. This is very well written, and very detailed, and I praise you on your ability to write an interesting story, and your grasp of standard RP format.
However, we really can't do anything unless we have more information. Where is the setting? Any places we can/can't go? Are we restricted to certain things? In short, what are the RULES of this RP? What are we supposed to do?)) -
Well he is an elf. Keep in mind that in most scenarios, Elves are generally viewed as "Having magic run through their very veigns." Elves are generally viewed as faster/stronger then humans, more adept at casting spells and such, and of course have differant bodily functions. (Turning into trees upon death, controling flora, whatever.)
I'd say magic. -
The sand worm had just made a big mistake.
Outside on the surfuce of its skin...
The katana the Lord of Rags wielded was drenched in digestive fluid, but it neither dulled nor waned, remaining as brilliant and as perfect as it had always been.
The rag man itself was slowly rotting away.
Not fast enough though.
-----
Outside, there appeared a tiny glimmer of silver in the side of the sand worm. If anyone had been looking closely enough, they would have seen it was the tip of a katana.
A few moments passed.
*RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIP*
The Lord of Rags burst forth from the stomach of the creature, rocketing straight through the stomach, bones, and organs. He had torn a huge hole in the side of the beast.
The wound was not fatal. It's own digestive acids were. Most if noit all creatures were not immune to their very digestive acids, the only things keeping them in check being the special stomach material. With the sand worm's stomach pierced like that, its very own digestive fluids leaked out.
And began to eat away the sand worm.
The rag man himself landed on the desert sand. He shook himself like a dog shakes after being drenched in water. Digestive goo flew to and fro. He seemed completely oblivious to the sand worm again. -
I'm guessing it is restrained to certain servers...We don't get any of that on Infinity. I would guess stuff like that could happen on Virute...(Unofficial RP server) or Freedom...(Most populated server) But these are just guesses, as I am Infinity exclusive.
-
Something had changed.
Normally, the rag man would have continued to walk to the tower, completely ignoring the sand worm.
But something was influencing him, driving him to attack.
The rag man turned.
And exploded. Thousands of thousands of rags burst forth in an endless toreent, and the storm of rags all headed for the sand worm...
And started to shove themselves through its huge mouth. -
((Is the sand worm something I can control, or does it qualify as "Lich level or higher?"))
-
The Lord of Rags was blind, deaf, mute, and unfeeling. He had no sensorary forms of actually detecting the world around him. He operated entirely by unknown methods. How he perceived the world about him was entirely unknown.
He apparently didn't perceive the sand pit. He continued walking forward, completely oblivious to the fact that he was being pulled backwards and downwards.
He then vanished beneath the sands.
A few moments passed, in which nothing moved but the swirling sands.
Then, a few dozen yards AHEAD of the swirling pit, the ground literally exploded. Hundreds, THOUSANDS of tiny black objects burst forth from the sands.
They were torn and tattered bits of cloth. Rags.
These all scattered about in the air, twirling to and fro...
Then suddenly, the small storm of rags imploded into one single point.
The Lord of Rags stood, not the worse for wear, and continued to walk towards the tower as if nothing had happened. -
Agent Crimson ran as fast as he could for the exit, dashing down the hallway at top speed. He had to get his files to the Longbow database.
And that...THING...was too powerful to fight.
He turned the corner...And nearly had his head impaled as a flash of silver which turned out to be a Katana barely missed him.
A figure, decked head to toe in nothing but rags stood.
Crimson didn't even try to fight, he just turned and ran again. Trying to find a differant route to the exit.
He heard the calm measured steps of the rag man following him. He glanced back to see the raggedy monster turn around the corner...
Then simply vanish into thin air.
Crimson continued to run, spiraling down corridors, taking stairwells...Then he found the exit! He was home free!
He made the dash down the hallway...
*slit*
He fell to the ground. He instantly tried to get back up, but only felt non-reponse from his feet, followed by an intense burst of pain. Looking back at his feet, he saw that his hamstrings had been severed, his blood pooling on the carpeting of the office.
The rag man, who had appeared from nowhere, calmly raised his sword to strike down Crimson...
Then simply vanished again.
Crimson blinked, waiting for the inevitable death blow.
It never came.
-----
Deep in the desert, a man stood.
A man dressed entirely in rags, head to toe, obscuring all of his features.
He was the Lord of that which was Worthless.
The Lord of Rags.
The sightless figure turned to a towering structure far off. He had no sight with which to see it, but felt a strange...pull.
The Lord of Rags strolled across the desert sands, heading for the tower. -
((Restrain yourself Prodi. After all, I am right now. It's not that hard.
But if I see one more of these jokes, I think I might actually explode...)) -
That indeed does sound reasonable, but one tiny adjustment.
After picking your first sig power, if you work towards the second sig power using the method above, certain attributes you used in the last sig power cannot be used in the second one. This is to prevent people from basically duplicating their first sig power and being able to use it twice in a row, or in the case of toggles, STACK.
Here is my basic law:
If your first sig is a toggle, the second may not be a toggle.
If your first sig is a clickie, your second sig may not be a clickie.
If your first sig was a debuff, your second sig may not be a debuff or a self buff.
If your first sig was a self buff, your second sig may not be a debuff or a self buff.
If your first sig was an ally buff, your second sig may not be an ally buff or a self buff.
If your sig is primarilly damage-dealing, your second sig may not be primarilly damage-dealing.
If your first sig was an AoE, your second sig may not be an AoE, or a PBAoE.
If your first sig was a PBAoE, your second sig may not be a PBAoE or an AoE.
If your first sig was a single-target, your second sig may not be a single-target or an AoE.
If your first sig is a summon, your second sig may not be a summon or an ally buff.
You may not have more then two signature powers.
You cannot start the making of a second signature power until after your first signature power has been maxed out in your Primary Signature Power Points. After you have maxed out your Primary Signature Power Points, (20) all XP gained at level fifty, (and only fifty) shall be used to create Secondary Signature Power Points. Once these points are used to create a Secondary Signature Power, and once all of these Points have been used, (20) you may not make anymore signature powers. -
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!
WE'VE BEEN STICKED!
HAHAHAHA! THE FORUMS SHALL FEEL OUR MIGHT!
And the world shall smolder as it basks in our new power, and all the fish shall become drunk and the fruitbats will fall from the cave roofs, and the breakfast cereals shall be feasted upon by serial killer clowns, and the dominators shall finally be equal to controlers, (forget that last one) and the pudding shall turn to chocolate, and all shall know the true meaning of that which is evil and they shall know that good IS DUMB.
.....
Sorry, I had just inhaled from a jar of mustard. That'll do things to you.
So, what do you think this means? The Devs HAVE to have looked at this by now. Is it possible we might actually expect for Sig powers to be implemented in the far future?
Really, the idea is mind boggling. When was the last time a PLAYER idea made it into the game?
*NOT including ED and the Moon Zone.*
This is nigh miraculous.
*High Fives Serps.* -
Sadly, Pheonix...
It's not that kind of carpet bomb. >.> -
((blinks))
Huh.
The carpet bomb hasn't gone off yet. -
Try LARPING a stone tank. That wouldn't be quite as painful as a fire tank, but I imangine it would be somewhat rough...
-
((Something akin to a carpet bomb is going to go off soon. Brace yourselves. >.<
