Maybe various superspeeders could outrun the explosion?
-

It could be the hairstyles are part of airbending culture. After all the Air Nomads were unique in that were ALL airbenders, which is why the Fire Nation wiped them all out instead of cherrypicking the benders out like they did with the Southern Water Tribe.
-
The villain's name is Abomination? Um, I know the Marvel Abomination is dead, but still....
-
A VIP headstart sounds cool. Nice that we'll be able to enjoy the new stuff for a little bit before the F2P swarm hits.

Quote:Male Air Nomads have completely bald heads. Females do the part-bald/ponytail thing.Oh, I see. The Legend of Korra...now how many legends do we really need?
Anyway, this is something for me to check out. Let's see just how many loose ends this comic could tie up!
True, true, Aang is a monk, so being bald makes sense...BUT! Have you ever seen a monk with a single ponytail with the remaining head bald?
...
Then again, that is soo not Aang. So, bald he remains ^_^ -
Quote:Yuruyuri is great. Kyoko makes me laugh the most.Yeah, Squid Girl is good. Definitely worth checking out if you're after some lighthearted fun
And here's a couple more things to watch:
Hyakka Ryouran Samurai Girls - Gender-swapped reincarnations of famous samurai in an alternative reality Japan where the Shogunate never fell, this looks like a show about scantily clad women with big swords. And, frankly, it is. There's no Witchblade-esque story hidden away, just fanservice and fighting. So why am I recommending it? Two reasons: 1) the aesthetics are brilliant, and 2) it's fun. Definitely a guilty pleasure, if you want something you can just switch your mind off and enjoy, this'll do nicely. If nothing else, just see the epic first couple of minutes of ep 1...
Yuru-Yuri - I mentioned this as being promising a month or so back, and I'll follow that up by saying it's great. A slice-of-life comedy with schoolgirl lesbians (complete with nosebleeds), shipping, fourth wall breaking, comedic sociopathy, shout outs....Seriously, just watch it, 'tis very funny
Squid Girl was just announced for getting a second season, too, so yay! -
Some new animes I've found and liked...
Squid Girl - A "mesenger from the sea" comes to conquer humanity in revenge for polluting the oceans! However, the messenger is Squid Girl, a cute but inept girl with tentacles for hair who has no clue how to conquer anyone. When she damages a beach shack diner by accident, she ends up working there to pay for repairs. It's adorable and squiding hilarious!
Ikoku Meiro No Croisee "A Stroll in a Foreign Labyrinth" - In 19th century Paris, a tiny Japanese girl named Yune comes to work as the cook and maid at the blacksmith shop/home of a young Frenchman named Claude and his nice grandfather. Claude's a bit of a jerk, Yune is the cutest thing ever, and the show is entertaining and heartwarming.
Seitokai No Ichizon "Student Council's Discretion" - In this Japanese high school, the student council is elected by popularity, and results in the four girls the student body think are the cutest/coolest/hottest getting elected, despite that none of them are really suitable for the job. However, one student with the best grades in school also gets an automatic seat on the council, and this year is a boy with a dating sim game obsession who got his grades up just so he could join the student council and make the girls his personal harem. None of the girls are going to allow that to happen. It's a funny show with many, many shout outs to other anime and manga (my favorites are the no less than two different Higurashi references). -
I call it a win, if only because it would take guts to drive that in public.
-
There's some Foe Yay for you.

This Saturday at PAX, Acquistions Inc. (including Wil Wheaton) reunites for more epic D&D gaming in front of a live audience! If you didn't watch last year's event, look it up. It was freaking hilarious.

You know, it saddens me that so many of the youtube comments are guys complaining that no woman could beat an equally trained man. So many insecure man posting there.

I love it when a fan film comes together. *chomps cigar*

I thought it was fairly obvious that was part of the plan.

- Quote of the night: TIE between "I just did this to piss off my parents!" and "I might be parrot-phrasing a little bit."
Quote:- I think they didn't hear me mention that I was tired of the haunted baby sub-plot.
Quote:- Looks like Nan pulled cold ***** duty on this episode, so where's Pam? I thought maybe she'd help out Bill at the start of this episode and use that to convince him to rescind his "Tara is off-limits" policy.
Quote:- After immediately bringing up Sookie's telepathy, it seemed clear Debbie was just concentrating hard on those thoughts to conceal her motives, which is a shame since I thought perhaps Debbie could get her character development back and take Pam's place as Sookie's supernatural girlfriend.

- Rassafrassin sonuva, we came *this* close to Jessica abolishing her no topless scenes rule tonight! Ahem ...

Festival of Tolerance. Ha! I knew that was gonna get wrecked the moment they said the name.

Please, let there be leaked footage of this online somewhere...

So, Grune has always been an ambitious *********, he just hid it well.
Also, Panthro continues being badass.
Nice to see they won't unnecessarily put the Thunderkittens in danger, as they left them and Snarf in the Thundertank for this mission. I don't think the kittens even had any lines this episode. -
Well, here's hoping it's better than the first one.
-
Kinda meh... but still, Kate Beckinsale in tight black leather.... mmmmm....
