    If I could ask a dumb question, is there a 'dual build' option in there that I'm missing ?

    I've been creating new build files instead, but just wanted to see if I'm missing something

    Out of sheer bl**dy mindedness I kept it going, if only to see just how big the 'last on' days go up to.

    I hardly ever post, but I have to disagree with this. This issue is not devoted primarily to PVP.

    There has been a lot of discussion about the changes by those who choose to PVP, which is fine, however for those like myself who choose not to PVP, the new powers, missions, auras and the miriad of QOL changes (like the grouped badge display's) are far far more important.

    I read the forums a lot and have never seen a post by a redname to indicate that the primary feature of this issue are the PVP changes.

    To be fair it does say this in the patch notes

    Enhancements are not shared between builds. The second build is slotted with enhancements separately from your first build.

    I suppose giving a duplication of our enhancements could be exploited in some way *shrug*

    I don't think you can. It can only be slotted for recharge, end red & range.

    To the OP:

    Could I point out that most of the developers left cryptic to join NCNorCal when the IP was bought. Essentially it is not the same company and they don't have the experience.

    I know the text has been transcribed earlier, but as you get a very brief shot of a mockup of the mission creator that hero1 has done, I thought it might be of interest. It's towards the end of *This* Video segment.
  19. With regard to the Dev's rating the missions. I can't see how this would work on a practical level, there would just be too many to go through.

    Also I would not want too much of their time taken up with rating player missions, I'd rather they concentrate on their own day jobs

    If the only way of achieving the unlockables was for the dev's to rate it, then we are not going to see too many player missions with unlocked content in them are we ?

    There must be other ways that content will get unlocked, we just haven't been told yet *hopes*

    The general consensus seems to be that there will be XP of some level. Although of course to be sure we'll just have to wait and see

What limits needed to be put into place to stop farming? Should we even have such limits? Etc. In the end, we made a system that we believe is best suited for what the Mission Architect was made for, and made sure it cannot be abused. Time and testing will tell if that is really the case though. Like the Invention System, there will be many iterations on the Mission Architect to make sure we get it right before it goes to the Live servers.

  24. What I'd like to see and since it's used in game already we may get access to is the ability to 'tweak' the map we choose from the list to block or open up certain parts of it.

    So for example we choose to use the standard 'office' map, but then we could choose to place a 'wall' item to block off access to some of the map, letting us vary the length of the mission map.

    Just think - we could force players to have to do the multi-story room in the cave map (or maybe not if we want to get good ratings )


    Oh and the other 'trick' that's used that we should be able to do is select the start point of the map, so following the example above we may start at one end of the office map or we may choose to reverse the map.
