Just wanted to say thank you to both of you! You've both cut down a lot of frustration trying to remember what I did in the six versions I lost! Both builds have different points of view, they'll be a great help!

I was hoping someone out there might be able to help me. I consider myself a bit of a power gamer, although not in the league of some of the people on here. Anyway I had to take about 9 months off from the game due to a chronic pain condition. I'm back, but during that time I had to wipe my computer clean and messed up on porting my mids files. Lost everything I had on mids.

I have a stone/elec brute from when cov first started, level 50. Was my first love in the melee area, to which I have some really awesome/survivable characters. I had tried a couple of times to make a build a while back that would allow me to have fun with this character again. My kat/wp scrap and elec/sd brute have really spoiled me. With losing all my files I've just become super frustrated with this one build.

Was wondering if anyone had any builds lying around they could loan me? I was trying to to concentrate on getting in as much s/l or melee defense as possible with a secondary concentration on recharge. I would figure s/l would be more useful.

If anyone has any builds they wouldn't mind posting, I'd appreciate any jumping off point I could get.

I apologize I couldn't attend like I had hoped. I just recently went from the overnight shift (of 3 years) to the day shift the day of the raid. The adjustment kicked my *** more then I thought I would. Great job on the raid!

Count me in if you need my scrapper Kat/Wp Dissonant Memory. I do have a troller I can offer up if we have a problem in that area but would prefer the scrapper.

Hey guys, feel kinda embarrassed to ask this, but I'm horrible with binds.

I want to bind ice shield, glacial shield and frost works to the numbad. So if I press 1 it would put ice shield on player one, shift and 1 for glacial and ctrl 1 for frost works.

If someone could just give me an example of it that would be much appreciated.

If I put the lotg +7.5 recharge enhance in ice shield/glacial shield from cold will the bonus work? I know sometimes some of the bonuses don't quite work right in certain powers so want to check before I finalize my build.

I realize I'd have to spam the shields every minute or so to keep the bonus active, but on a team that wouldn't be a problem.

Hey all. A friend and I will be joining an sg/vg 2v2 tourney. We're doing it mostly for fun. We both want to get more into pvp, so we're using the two toons listed to get our feet wet.

If anyone could be so kind as to let me know what IO bonuses are good to go for on these toons. Also is someone wouldn't mind giving me a quick run down of what power picks are good for pvp.

With all the changes pvp has had can I still use my holds on my Ice/Cold to good use for example. I was thinking darkest night for the brute could stack well with some of the buffs from the cold, and the slows from the cold could let the brute use power sink to good effect. Is that viable?

Hey all. I've been with the game since launch and have only really pvped a handful of times, none of which has happened since all the new changes. I want to start getting into pvp, and although I think I'm quite good at and make some sick builds for pve, pvp is totally alien to me.

I want to pick one hero and one villain and get my feet wet. I'm hoping if I list the characters I have, maybe someone can give me some insight on which toons would be the best to use. I'm not opposed to hard work and practice, so I don't need something that is easy to use, but I want something that will be effective.

Heroes:

Sonic/Elec/Elec 50 blaster
Ice/Ice 50 Tank
Ice/Kin/Earth 50 Troller
BS/Regen 50 Scrapper
Kat/Wp 50 Scrapper
Shield/Fire/Pyre 50 Tank
I also have the following up and coming heroes:
Dark/Stone tank, MA/Fire scrapper, WS, PB, Rad/Arch defender

Villains:
Stone/Elec 50 brute
SS/Fire 50 brute
Axe/Wp 50 brute
Elec/SD 50 brute
Ice/Cold 50 Corrupter
Sonic/Kin 50 corrupter

Up and coming villains:
SS/Stone brute, WM/EA brute, Fire/SR brute, DM/Inv brute, Fire/Sonic corrup, Dark/Pain Corrup, Elec/Dark corrup, Rad/Storm Corrup, Earth/Elec Dom, Elec/Nin stalker, Claws/Nin stalker, Widow and Crab

I'm looking more for RV as opposed to other zones, I enjoy playing at level 50. Looking at what I have to choose from, if I wanted to get into pvp now I'm assuming I might be better off with the Sonic/Elec/Elec blaster or one of my scrappers for heroes. Villains I'm assuming my Ice/Cold or Sonic/Kin corrupter would be good to use.

I'd like to be able to solo and team. Any advice would be appreciated.

I really hope this set comes out being something I really like. I made an ar/mental blaster not long ago named Luna Ticc. She would be so much better with pistols.

I agree with most of what Chaos said about sb. But I do want to note one thing. I absolutely hate when people ask me to sb them when in mission. Why? Because I pride myself on sbing the team, its part of what I bring. I have sb up on people nearly 100% of the time. I look for the flashing icons, and have sb bound to my numpad to make it extremely easy.

But there are lots of people that will start yelling for sb the second their icon flashes or if they are without if for more then 2 seconds. If you don't have sb from me in a team I'm on then one of four things has happened.

1) You strayed to far from me and I will only go so far from the current fight to get you.

2) I am afk and said so before hand, which means you can't read.

3) I was busy trying to get a heal off while someone was in the red, or trying to hold a boss going for a squishie etc... I am aware I didn't get to you while the icon was flashing, but I will shortly.

4) I'm dead.

I play on freedom, so I'm exposed to more players then people who play on other servers. But it never ceases to amaze me, even if I'm on a team for multiple missions and sb never once failed, I get yells for sb if its down for a second.

On a side note, I do hate kins who take the power and never use it. Can't tell you how many times I've taken my kin on teams where there are 2 or 3 of us, and I'm the only one sbing. They don't even have the courtesy to sb me!

This example is just going a bit too far. I'm not going to come in on either side of this debate, cause well I've seen this discussion too much. But lets not compare using one power in a set to not using a whole set, no matter how important you/I/or anyone thinks that power is.

Killing Lord Recluse gives more experience then that during normal xp play. During the double xp weekend my 35 dom was lked up in a Lord Recluse mission. I got close to 180k, and one of my team members said he got close to 600k. On my 50's I do remember getting somewhere close to 300k for him when I was around 47 or so, so the 600k seems about right.

I know lots of people who log in at times and don't play the pve or pvp part of the game. They just want to come on to talk to friends and be social. By social I mean doing things to meet people on a big scale, such as costume contests.

I've been thinking for a while now that this game has needed some diversions that you could come on to just have fun with your friends.
