Agreed, Unfortunantly the leveling of the Brute is going slowly so I will also bring the NW. Flea I am sure your Sonic/Rad will be more then fine. The list is flexible depending on who brings what. Honestly its a loose guideline.

What I am looking at is a 1 night tourney. I do not think an extended tourney would be a good idea currently.
8 teams double elimination in a similar random draw structure that we ran the October PvPEC event I believe would work well.
We could go with teams of 4 any AT's and keep it completely open. Set signups 2 weeks in advance to allow everyone time to get their teams together.
I think this leaves things open and allows the tourney to run in a single night.
The next questions is a good day. I am partial to Friday or Saturday Evening since that is usually the best peak times for everyone however if ther eis a better day please let me know. -
Recently a few have expressed interest in a team PvP tourney. I have always enjoyed Team PvP however most of the events PvPEC wise are never preset teams. I am thinking about running a 1 billion Inf tourney next month. I do have a few questions to ask of those that might attend. .
5v5 or Pentad is my biggest question. Personally I am partial to Pentads.
Arena Settings, I prefer, Diminishing Returns on, Heal Decay Off and Travel Supression Off.
Tier 1 Inp's only and arena temps. no SoW's (Sirens Call PvP reward not the WP tier 9)
I am thinking double elimination as I have never been a big fan of single elimination except for 1v1.
Because I believe the Sudden Death is fairly convoluted if a match ends in a tie regardless of the Sudden Death result each team will pick 2 players and they will go in a 10 min match to determine the outcome.
The basic rules, no spawn camping, trash talking and so on.
The last thing is I would like 8 teams at a minimum. I know that may seem like alot but an 8 team Tourney would be a blast.
Let me know what you guys think.

This Raid was announced in the Halloween Extravaganza however I wanted to make its own post just in case anyone misses it. This post also has another purpose.
The Basic overview and Yellow Team Breakdown
The Overview
Yellow Teams
I am not asking for people to sign up however I would like to have a general idea of who will be comming out on Saturday. There are some very crucial needs for the Raid and I will list them off.
Pain Doms 6
Dominators/Forts with Holds 8
Brutes 12
Kins 6
Therms 4
MM's 6
If you are coming I ask that you post and let us know what you are bringing.
Thanks

The Team PvP will be a kickball style of team setup. Basically I will randomly pick captains and they will pick team mates from there. Depending on how many come out we very well could have 8v8 or even larger teams.

On a serious note I witnessed the Mag 12 having no problem with Hamidon or mito KB. -
-
There are a few requirements to be a Hammi Raid Tank. Any tank can meet these some easier then others.
KB Protection - Ice/WP/Inv/Shield/Stone have this built in. Fire/Dark need mag 13 protection at a minnimum from IO's and/or acrobatics. Electric is a special case with Mag 15.6 kb protection but you need to be on the ground. My concern is how sensitive that is. I really should bring my Electric Tank this week and test it.
Taunt- Just having it isn't enough. Taunt should be slotted with Taunt Durations. I would say 3 slotted as a minimum. Personally I have mine 6 slotted with a set of Mocking Beratement. 97.5% recharge, 97.5% Taunt Duration, plus the bonuses are nice. The reason for this is other tanks can pull aggro off of you when everyone is fighting Hammi.
Hit Points - The more you have the better things will work out. Generally we have a kin or 2 on the Hammi Aggro team so keeping + hp + Heal powers up is fairly trivial. The big deal with + HP's is that you can do more with less regen. Having your regen debuffed as a raid tank is a fact of raiding. Many times when you initially enter the Goo you will go to 0% regen even with all the RA's from pre buff. More HP's gives you more breathing room.
Regeneration - The magic number is 160 hp per second to tank hammi without an EoE. Generally its unwise to do so unless you are clear of the other Mitos. In short always use an EoE Tanking Hammi unless you are at this regen number or higher and have no other mitos hitting you.
Emps and Kins- A Requirement specifically for their RA's AB's, SB's and Heals. More or less the unsung hero's of Hammi Raids. While the Tank handles the aggro of Hammi these folks keep you alive with buffs. 2 of each on the Hammi Aggro team work wonders.
Paying Attention - This should go unsaid however I feel the need to mention it. Watch your buffs, your regen, health and EoE's. Furthermore watch the other parts of the raid. At times there may be a mito right were you are standing and taunting. As the Raid Tank generally most people try not to get to close as Hammi tosses AOE's however being mobile is a good thing as a Raid Tank.
Hope this helps

All of us at one point or another learned the raid from others. I know I learned from quite a few people and I am more then willing to show others how to raid to leading teams to leading the raid.
The Hammi Tank is not always the raid leader. Now I would estimate that many raids have had the Hammi Tank as the Raid Leader. However I have seen leaders lead from The Green Team, Yellow Teams and ofcourse from Hammi. There is no specific requirement to be on a specific team to lead Hammi.

Quote:It may be. However from what I have seen over the last 5 years many people know their stuff and play like they know it. That of course means picking power sets that can be bent better then others.Serious question. Among the denizens of "JFA2010" and its predecessors who make up the majority of people I play with, I never see any of the powersets that people seem to talk about a lot on these boards.
For example, Energy Blasters. I can't remember the last time I've seen one. Now Archers, Ice men and Fire gals, I see them all the time. Likewise, the horror stories people tell about PUGs just seem to be totally absent on this server.
On information and belief, I think several of the devs play here.
Is Justice heaven?
However I am sure we all have a character or 2 that well, we don't play much anymore but we used to play daily when we first started. I know I have a few or 10, lol
Overall, plenty of vets on the server. I am not afraid to say it, I Power Game and build new characters with performance in mind. Theme characters are fun and all but I just bend the theme to fit performance
I think its all a mentality of efficiency while having fun. -
