Now's not the time you want to develop a sound strategy for defeating regens.
-
I essentially took the build that Pc guy posted and tweaked it a bit. Don't know if anything I did will make a difference or not. I just went for bigger numbers. Will all the procs that PC guy had in the build he posted, will I be "missing" the potential dmg by not putting them all in mine? And I feel like this is a silly question, but if I exceed the HP cap which I think I have with this build, is it possible to exceed the cap and still show in PvP? Or should I just lob them off now? I'm assuming if they do DR would bring them down.

I actually had that in my build before I posted this one but thought that phase was the way to go so I changed it. I'd actually prefer Shadow Meld in my build so thanks again.

Quote:That is a very good point. Completely forgot about them becoming inherent. Thanks for the reminder.you don't need health or stam for regen - so you can take another pool power and next issue they will be inherent so you will not have to change your build. For pvp - you want the ranged atks and cocentrated strike. The taunt does - range..you can build for both sc and rv - a regen does not need phase in sc..you're regen. if you really want it get the temp phase to use.

1. The 1st and 3rd attacks are 2 of the fastest activation attacks in the set. Why didn't you put them in your build?
2. Are both travel powers necessary?
3. Why did you chose confront? Thought that was a no no?
4. I'm guessing because I failed to mention that I was building for SC that that's the reason you put Phase Shift at 50?
5. I don't see the Regenerative Tissue unique in the build. Is it worthless in PvP?
6. No Hurdle, Health or Stamina? No room?
Maybe if I mentioned at the start that this was for SC, the build would be different? If so. I apologize for waisting your time. I think that's all the questions I have at this time. Thanks again. -
That's initially what brought me to KM after seeing it played before GR was released. But after leveling him to 32 I started to wonder how KM would fair in PvP. I haven't Pvp'd since i13 came out but want to do something to break up the PvE grind. I paired KM with Regen but felt I had made a huge mistake with i13 bringing the wonderful HD. But after reading through around 15 pages of the forums I feel a little better.
Anyways. This is my proposed build for SC. I know it'll be time consuming to get, maybe expensive if I get impatient. Please let me know where I can improve to make this at least a decently survivable build to get back "into" PvP. Thanks in advance.

So now that we can have up to 5 additional levels in pvp, does that mean in SC we can have lvl 38 io's? Or is it still maxed at 33?
-
Thx PC Guy. Yah I know pvp has for the most part if not all changed for the worse. But I'm just lookin to break the grind of PVE only.
-
Did this affect pvp at all as far as powers available say for example SC? I seem to remember reading that you can have an additional 5 lvls, although I have no idea where I might have read this from or why it would. I'm planning on giving PVP another go around after i13 scared me off and I am trying to build around this possibility.
-
Well. When you put it that way...Moon zone would be great. So would an under water zone.
-
Quote:Yes but there are dozens and more of those droneish Npc's walking, standing, sitting etc.. all over most every city. I hardly think that this would be the same issue.Until the return of the Palladin fiasco that is.
Back in the day the myth was, if you camped out any of the construction spots in Kings, that he would never spawn. Which was bogus.
But it didn't stop the bickering in broadcast whenever someone would notice campers. -
Quote:While shiny new power sets and new arcs, etc...would be great (and I mean brand new not just ports), how is increasing the city atmosphere and being rewarded for such things happening, not kinda sorta important? That's in my opinion, a QOL (for the Npc's) issue that has to be addressed sooner than much later. I know. I know. We ALL want new sets and stories. We always do. I know. But why not add some "new" life to the city?Yeah, NPC's getting in an out of cars and such would be a nice little touch but I'd rather the time be spent on new powers and new arcs and new zones and ad infinium.
I like everyone else, don't expect this to gain any serious momentum ahead of new sets and arcs, but maybe this can be kept somewhere near the top of things to do? Maybe top 20-30? -
-
Well. Then maybe add in a chance of item (enh of course) drop or hero merits for saving say...50 Npc's, if you happen to catch an Npc doin one of these actions. Badges awarded as well. Vills would have to be awarded for preventing these actions. Same for Rogues and Vigilantes. Something I think should have been done years ago when and if you decided to save an Npc in Atlas for example. Now I realize that you would have peeps hawking the Npc's all day long for this, but would it be any different than actual street sweeping? It'd be a cool lil mini game I guess. And to prevent "farmers" lol...limit the amount of Npc's accosted or awards received during the day.
-
But Npc's walking to the park and sitting down on the park bench and pulling out his/her smoked turkey sammy is sooooo important. To me at least
-
Wasn't sure how to title this, but I would like to see the cars that Christine around the streets to park at buildings, parks, piers etc...and have Npc's get out of them and go into the buildings, parks, piers etc... Just think it'd be cool to see.

Quote:Alright. I'll disable AVG and see what happens.Hollows, this happened to me too. And I use NOD32, not AVG.
When I patched Test, I'd get the error - 'file cityofheroes.exe - probable unknown virus - file deleted and moved to Quarantine' - (actually it was unknown Neuper, Heurer virus or some name like that). I had to disable anti-virus protection, patch test and then went to play normally, even with protection up later.
It happened again today when patching the live client (had already downloaded it too). Same message, cityofheroes.exe deleted. Did the same thing, it updated, I reactivated the virus/spyware protection and it's all fine now. But if I do a virus can it deletes the cityofheroes.exe file again.
I think the file may have code that resembles malware of something like that.
EDIT: Ok here's what happens when I do a scan of the CoH folder with NOD32 (same for Cohtest which I downloaded 1 week ago, my computer was totally 'clean' before in a general scan):
Such a newb. Couldn't find the disable tab, so I just restored the vaulted "malware" and everything appears to be running normally now. AVG did recognize the .exe as a malware again, but I allowed it. So we'll see. -
-
Did that. But I can't remember how to upload the paint file to the forums. I've done it once or twice before I believe, but can't for the life of me remember how to now.
-
Had already downloaded and installed the Issue 17 update this morning but obviously CoX was down. Just checked back into see if all was good and my virus protection (Free trial version of AVG) came up with malware in the COH.exe file. Ok. Fine. That's never happened b4. So I go back to the updater to re-try (did it 3 times) and I get this updater error every time now. I would post the pic, but I can't figure out how to. But the error says -
failed to rename C:\Program Files\City of Heroes\tempfile to C:\Program Files\City of Heroes\cityofheroes.exe.
Any help with this would be great. -
Just logged on to test and thought I had logged on to live. ALL of my live server chars (Freedom) are now on test and all of my test server chars gone. Earlier I could not log onto test with my DP/Dark corr. All other chars I could log on with. Weird day in the world of test.
