Is it ok to snag these as CoH news feed for our SG websites if we link to the main website? Is there any restriction(s) on using them?
Anyone know of a good way to parse these in PHP?
[/ QUOTE ]
We do in RO. We have the RO Bot that gives us all kinds of CoH updates. -

That is what I have had for awhile with my Google Reader. Or at least Dev Responses to threads. -

Official Listing from Smurphy for Repeat Offenders offering to the Freedom Character Auction:
Repeat Offenders is offering two teams:
1) "The 8th spot on an all GM/PW/FFoF" team. Hero-side.
I doubt that means much to you yet. For players in the Repeat Offender's network this is possibly the most awesome thing one can imagine. Basically, its two hours with a team of 7 Kinetics, Radiation and Empathy Defenders/Controllers. A Repeat Offender steam-rolling team. However, its more than that. Here's the long scoop with plugs and advertisements
Repeat Offenders is a coalition of 36 supergroups spanning three servers. RO is more of a network of people than a Coalition of superteams. We do have lots of synergy, lots of buffs and lots of teamwork. However, we do not play teams of 8 Empaths or 8 Kinetics nightly. We do have many people who are altoholics and very friendly. Often people switch servers and sides to team together and have fun. Teams are often a mix of players from various supergroups in the RO network. Three of our Supergroups are Green Machine, Pinball Wizards, and the Faithful Friends of Fallout. You would be purchasing two hours of being on a team of just them. You can bring whatever you like :-)
Green Machine is an all Empathy Defender supergroup. If you ever wanted to be an Instant Healing, Eluding, Double Speed Boosted, Damage Capped blaster who could fire off his or her Nuke and recovery endurance... well... that's Green Machine.
Faithful Fans of Fallout is a supergroup of all Radiation Controllers and Defenders who are based around the powers of Fallout, Vengeance and Mutation. Turn off your teleport prompt and don't fear death! A fallen teammate often turns the tide of battle into a massacre. Fallout is a nuclear weapon with mushroom cloud included. Vengeance gives a massive does of +Defense with Damage and Accuracy thrown in too.
Pinball Wizards is an all Kinetics supergroup. I don't think I need to explain the awesomeness of Speed Boost and Fulcrum Shift.
Now take everything awesome about each of those three supergroups and put them together. You get Fortitude, the Regen/Recov Auras, Adrenalin Boost, Accelerate Metabolism, Vengeance, Fallout, Speed Boost, Fulcrum shift and more all on one team. So..."The 8th spot on an all GM/PW/FFoF" team... you drooling yet?
2. One spot on a Masters of the Recluse SF run. Villain-Side.
No promises that we will be successful. However RO has successfully completed the MoRSF with no Granite, no Mind, no Thermal and no Rad. We'll be giving it a good shot. Worst case scenario is you will have a good time -

We are finalizing the stuff for the Repeat Offender's teams now. I'll post the nerdy descriptions advertisements tomorrow once we got it 100% ironed out. Looks like a classic RO Hero team and a MoRSF run (no guarantee) villainside.
Also toss on the list is a Hardcore Lady Grey or Imperious Task Force with me and a bunch of my hoodlum friends. We'll bring a bunch of villains and run one of those two on the highest difficulty. No sisses. No whining. No tactics. No waiting. No rules. We usually run the Lady Grey in about 1:45 - 2:30 and the Imperious in 1-1:45 in Hardcore setup. Both with about 1.5 death per minute Both successful runs. Its a wild and fun time! Think about succeeding on the Imperious TF on Invincible playing with reckless abandon in an hour with 90 deaths... and no tank nor healer nor any of that other "needed" stuff. We just use a lot of Fallout and Vengeance.
So...
1) RO Hero Team
2) RO Villain Team
3) Hardcore Team

"Be sure to ask for your Pocket D VIP Pass to gain access to the Pocket D Jubilee event scheduled for Saturday July 26th. The VIP Pass will also unlock a special in game item that was selected for this show only."
Im just saying there shouldnt be exclusive in game ANYthing that only people in certain geography can get access to. Thats not fair by any stretch.

Were you at the NC Booth last year to get your free drawing of your hero by David Nakiyama or any number of other con swag?
I am guessing no and I am guessing it didn't change your game experience.
They and other companies give out stuff every year. It has no bearing on game play and I am sure what they will give out this year won't either. Yellow title, badge, etc.
Nothing worth getting yourself worked up about.
Not to mention the con is not just for people in San Diego. It is the largest popular arts convention in the WORLD. -
[ QUOTE ]
The special event train (Red Line) doesn't run on Saturday. But the other trains have additional runs on Saturday night.
[/ QUOTE ]
True, but last year they did run a "special" train from Mission Valley to the convention center on Saturdays and Sundays. -
[ QUOTE ]
BTW your link to the train schedule didn't work
how late does the train run normally? If i wanted to go downtown for the late night stuff?
[/ QUOTE ]
It depends on where you are going and what line. For instance, the Blue Line which runs to Old Town from the CC runs on Saturday nights until about 2:00 AM depending on the stop. From Old Town you need to get on the Green Line to go East through Mission Valley. The last stop at the Mission Valley Ctr stop on Saturday is 12:10 AM.
That being said they also run special event trains, which they should run for the Saturday night of Comic-Con at least since that is the most crowded day.
Even then, a taxi cab ride from CC to Mission Valley is about 15-20 bucks.
Maps and Timetables
You want San Diego Trolley Service and you will be taking the Green Line from Mission Valley to Old Town. From Old Town you will be taking the Blue Line (special event, Blue Line goes to the front door of the CC), otherwise you might have to transfer at the American Plaza station to the Orange Line (but Blue Line should take you all the way). -

Mexican food is everywhere. My favorite downtown is Pokez (specializes in Vegan and Vegi. Very hipster though. I also really like Broadway Taco Co. downtown.
[/ QUOTE ]
Wow, small world Hobo. My brother used to work part-time at Pokez.
[/ QUOTE ]
Right on! Probably recognize him then. Been eating there regularly for over 10 years now. Was born in SD, but grew up in OC. Moved back to San Diego in 97'. -
[ QUOTE ]
I've never had to park when I go to SDCC, but I understand the convention center parking lot fills up early. If you're not getting there until after 10 on Thursday, there will definitely be no spaces left. On Friday, I think you'd need to get there by 7 AM give or take, to get a space at the c.c.
As for whether you need more than one day? You need more than one day just to see the whole exhibit hall! That doesn't include time to see any panels (which are different each day), to walk through the art show, to stand in line for autographs if that's your thing, or talk to artists about commissioning artwork.
Regarding places to eat - Rainwater(s?) on Kettner has absolutely the best steaks I have ever eaten. It's pricey though and requires reservations. There was also a fantasic little dessert place I went to one time about 10 years ago. I thought it was called "Just Desserts", but I can't find any info about it on the web. And some of the best, most authentic Mexican food I've had can be found in the Old Town section of the city. The gas lamp district and the restaurants around the c.c. get understandably PACKED every night of the con.
[/ QUOTE ]
There is now a Donovans downtown which is comparable to Rainwaters and closer to the convention center. The Hard Rock hotel is now open across the street from the Convention center. They have a Nobu and a nice bar, but very pricey. Tin Fish across the street from the convention center is nice.
Dessert, go over to Little Italy and eat at Extraordinary Desserts.

You might be better off parking away from the CC and taking the trolly. It is only 2.50 round trip for the entire day. -
I live in Hillcrest. Nice area. It is the gayborhood, but also pretty hipster. Used clothing stores, record stores, etc.
1 Day is not enough. Wait until you see the Panel listing. Always interesting stuff to see. Also Friday is Star Wars day!
Bummed I am going to miss it this year. Especially the one year CoX actually does something. -

Nothing bad, close relative turning 80 and having a party and I probably should be there as I will never hear the end of it if I skip it for Comic-Con.
[/ QUOTE ]
Not to put too fine a point on it, but if the relative is 80, how many more years can you realistically expect this person to keep bringing it up?
...I'm just sayin'.
[/ QUOTE ]
Not worried about him bringing it, more like my mother every time I call her or see her. -

Unfortunately, for the first time in 10 years I have to skip Comic-Con this year. Something has come up and I will need to leave San Diego that weekend.

Sorry you can't make it Hobo. Going to the Comic-con for the past 6 years, I know how much it would hurt to miss one. Hope everything turns out ok for you.

Unplayable? Seems to work pretty good for me and I just hold off on the bugged items.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes the Sync bug makes it unplayable for me. Do you have the sync bug? It has not hit everyone, and not everyone equally hard.
FYI: I have done the Imperius Task Force in 35 minutes. Seen it done in under 30. -

Sorry, Hobo, I did not realize it was such a dramatic problem. I had thought it was just more of the same old occasional annoyance, spread around to more people. What you describe sounds craptacular.
[/ QUOTE ]
it is.
[/ QUOTE ]
I am usually pretty tolerable with this stuff and usually just keep paying until stuff is fixed. The money is not an issue for me at all.
This time though the game is just completely unplayable. I just can't continue to provide money for a broken product, especially when a fix does not appear to be on the horizon. -

I did that and i still have a bug in my lvl 50 ice blaster, when i log in i dont see any baddies or contacts and i cant leave to another city, it wont let me on the train or take tunnels and i cant open doors to get in the buildings like the university, is this the bug they're fixing?
[/ QUOTE ]
Hi iceninja,
We have a discussion thread about this issue (that is not specific to Issue 12) in the Technical Issues Forum. You can find more information by clicking that link.
[/ QUOTE ]
I would disagree. I have never had the problem until i12 went live. I find it not having something to do with i12 and just occurring the week it went live for a lot of people more than a coincidence and something specific.
[/ QUOTE ]
I12 may have exacerbated the problem, but this has happened to me dozens of times over the course of years. It's nothing new, although maybe it has become more widespread.
I either get a teammate to tp me or I tp myself (although the SG 'port power won't work since you can't click on any menus while bugged). That seems to re-synch everything. The bug has been around at least since Good Vs Evil was released, I think, since I started using the Pocket D 'port to re-synch as soon as it became available (I think. My memory could be faulty on that point but the bug has been around for over a year at the very least.)
[/ QUOTE ]
I was not saying that it did not exist before i12, but to say i12 did not make it occur for others is incorrect. Personally, never had this issue. Since i12 it happens on almost every zone/mission enter, thus the game is completely unplayable.
Not going to respec all of my characters into teleport just to play the game.
