Burning, my main complain is I don't know enough about your characters. They're all a mystery to me.

Easiest way without going through 400 pages looking for some revelations from Final Fight.
As for why the amulet in 24 Hour Virus bothers Pstorm, no one knows why except me

Alright, I guess I'll have to start reading.
[ QUOTE ]
Cafea is fairly one dimensional in a sense. . . although part of that is that I haven't been paying attention to the thread. Too much time on my own Crown of Thorns project. . .
As for Hal, I don't know if you have followed him in anything but the SH101 thread. . . but if not. . . I think he deserves heavier criticism. So far, in that thread, he is just BORING.
I think he's doing better in, say, Cosmic Chess, or Crown of Thorns. . . problem is, he isn't very interesting when nothing is seriously wrong.
[/ QUOTE ]
Fair enough with Cafea. And Hal, yeah I've been watching him, last I checked he was still sulking... Yeah, he's a bit boring. I really hope he gets interesting soon in the RP. No pressure.
And now, since all requests have bgeen ignored I'm going to savage myself.
Hermod, you're biggest problem is you inability to convey a story arc sucessfully. You let minor details play to big a role. Like that time you made the fact that those six circular buildings be used as improvised standing stones. It was a decent idea, but way to small a detail to make so important. You just can't let shocking the RPers involved play such a big role when it can completely ruin the story's outcome.
Come on everyone, feel free to savage me with baseball bats. I really want to know what my weaknesses are. -

Essex
My only real complaint (and it's not much of one) is using the Megaman X terms for the characters. That just throws me a bit and makes me suddenly think of side scrolling games, sweet, sweet, sweet, side scrolling games... I need to go play some now...
[/ QUOTE ]
This is a good point. D: The problem is, Essex originated in a Megaman X RP, so I'm not sure what other terms to use.
Any suggestions? I'm open. :P
[/ QUOTE ]
Hmm... well, you could go with more generic terms like Androids or something. But I really don't know much you can do with it Essex. Sorry.
A few more so hopefully I'll get some feed back.
Hal, Cafea and Hal so far have struck me as a bit one dimensional. Hal's always sulking and Cafea is superior. Not nessacaryly problems, especially for Hal who seems to have hopes of getting his act together and Cafea, well, I don't know how long AOI will survive and the concept really isn't character growth, so I don't see too big a problem. I'm looking foward to seeing what you can do with these too.
Burning, my main complain is I don't know enough about your characters. They're all a mystery to me.
Leo, I really don't know what I can say about Ian. He's pretty well done. I just hope he stops insatiably asking for fights. Of course, I really don't like fight scenes and prefer other styles of character growth. So maybe it's just me.
That's all I can think of for the moment. -
Well, my idea of a Safegaurd mission was always something like this.
"Captian Hero! The CoT have hired a villain to rob the M.A.G.I. Vault! Please stop them!"
And then you'd go to the Galaxy City instance with 15 minutes and you'd be award more time by helping the police focus on the main problem by removing minions and stopping them from causing devirstions like lighting buildings on fire. So stopping the occasional enemy from blowing up a car to make some racket or saving a cornered police officer or hostage would net you bonus time like blowing up crap.
I'd like to imagine that you wouldn't be able to target a car personally and then blow it up. I'm not saying don't maker it distructable though. I'd love to see that happen as collateral damage from AoEs and Cones. as you fight the enemires you accidently might destory a car and a fire hydrant to save a citizen in distress. Perfectly acceptable loses, happens all the time, I'm sure.
And eventually you'd go to the M.A.G.I. vault and bet your way through some CoT mage and then either grab the item they're after so they can't get it or close the vault somehow and then some villain you might see in jail in CoV would show up, like Hallow Point and try to tear the vault open and you'd have to stop them.
I also saw most to of the sides reversed.
Arson becomes put out the flames. Enter a building and strap on one of Positron's fire exstinguishers and save people from the inferno while villains fan the flames.
Jail Break I could see remaining the same. You find some Council, CoT, or possible stranger groups holding a Hero in one of their prison and team up to save the city.
Kidnapping is an easy reversal. The kidnapee is just surronded by villains instead and you have to get him to safety behind police lines.
Smash and Grabs might be tricker to reverse. I don't really know what to do with them, but they lead into my next idea, raiding. I don't see any problem with a Hero obviously in need of help taking some villain groups booty to help stop the villain. Personaly, I'd like to make it more a stealth mission like a Smash and Grab. Fill it with those red beams that summon ambushes and you have to shut down the security system around the temp power to grab it.
For me, this sounds like fun. What do you guys think? How would you want it differently? I'm really curious. -
Frosch did his best not to chuckle at Kriegg's comment, but it's hard to hold noise in when you don't have a mouth. "I'm not much for music bu-" He was interrupted by a loud thump which was followed up by a several hasty steps towards the stairs. Another Hecatonchire emerged, like his brother's Cottus and Braireus he was almost a perfect clone of them. The real defining characteristic was compared to his brother he was a runt. He looked around with his slim head teeth bared. He looked at Teide, "Are we under attack?" He asked confused by the obvious lack of any concern by the other patrons. Teide noticed that he was still holding a mop that had been scaled up for his size and it was still dripping wet.
"No Gyges, everything's fine. Why do you think we're in trouble?" She asked.
"I heard some sort of sonic attack, I swear ma'am." He said looking about.
Teide looked at Twitch, "One of our patron's was playing a song Gyges." She said.
For a monsterous creature that he was he looked surpisingly embaressed. "Oh... Sorry." He said, "No offense, it's just..." He looked a Teide, "We hear things differently, and that sound sorta hurt a bit. Sorry, I'm sure it was great." He added hastly.
"Now Gyges, shouldn't you be wearing some protection, I did warn you about that." Teide said.
"Right you are ma'am." He said hastly and left in a hurry, "Sorry for the disturbance." He said halfway up the stairs. Teide just sighed, putting to many different life forms in one place was proving a bit trying.
Frosch looked at Twitch, "Sorry about." He said, "Anyway, it's quite nice. I ussually like them a bit quieter to be honest, but it was good none the less." He said as he poured them seperate drinks. Kriegg's was the original he had ordered on entrance, Twicth was getting to drink the intergaltic equivalent of Vodka mixed with some sort of wine like drink that truth be told, was fermented bugs, giving it an odd sweet and sour taste. Frosch liked experimented with drinks when no one asked for anything specific. -

((Just when I thought Greek Mythology couldn't get any more convaluted.... Thanks Hermod))
[/ QUOTE ]
((Your welcome.))
Frosch backed away from Ruugla a bit and went to the oppisite end of the bar to hide. -
((*looks at Cuppajoe's avatar* Oh no! Someone who knows where the name is from! I must flee! *Flashbang gernade* To the escape pods!))
As Frosch went abotu handing out drinks to those requesting it he had an odd question to answer. "Uh Kriegg was it? You wanted to purchase a bottle of Reahu? I'd let it all go for about half of one of your silver nugge-" He stopped as the slug thrower was whipped out and stared for a moment. Unseen he pushed a button under the bar while he refilled the frog man's glass.
A few moments later and big grey hand grabbed the slug thrower and with one clean action took it from the frog. At first it seemed Cottus had gotten involved, but the creature, while it looked roughly like Cottus was much bulker and he had several scars on his body. He was Braireus. He was the same height as Cottus within millimeters and physically perfectly resembled him. He was after all one of three triplets, Cottus and Gyges being the others. He was a true bruiser of the group.
Frosch looked a bit embarced with just his eyes, "Sorry, but we try to discourge trouble. Pulling your gun on someone and just aiming it just can't be done. We let people keep their guns because other guys have natural powers and we can't remove those. Braireus, give him the gun back." He said. The grey brute handed him back the gun softly and turned to leave.
"My other job here is bouncer." He commented, "I assume that means I make sure the people bounce when the hit the ground on the way out." He said feigning stupidity to be a bit more terrifyiny.
Frosch looked down again, "Sorry again, I kinda paniced when the gun came out. Can I make it up for you? A free round perhaps?"
((Gyges, Braireus and Cottus can be found just about anywhere if anyone wants to go looking for them. They mostly just clean the place. Their race's name is Hecatonchires. and no, I don't feel shame in stealing mythology for my own purposes))
-
Frosch shook his head at the remains of the meal. As he put it away to be emptied and cleaned he considered the whole debate for a moment and then put her out of his mind. He had a job to do. But still, Frosch understood what Cafea meant. War was terrible, but often needed. He focused on the debates real problem. Cafea was too far on one side and Kreigg was a bit to far to the other, though no where near as far as Cafea. He shurgged as the shadow thing ordered a drink, "We call it Reahu." Frosch said, "Ice cold even in the heat of the day. Got some chemical in it that eats absorbs energy, banned on a few worlds because drinking too much can freeze your vital organs." Frosch warned.
((I should point out a lot of the weird names like Reahu are just mythological names. There's no real reason for this other than they a ready source of weird words.)) -
Teide frowned a bit looking at the collection of bills, coins, and cards presented to her. "I'm really sorry, but most of this is useless to me. I rarely trade with any of these races." She admited as she looked for coins that could be used. She really didn't turn anyone away from her Inn. First she could use the business, second she didn't like throwing people out onto this planet. It was tough to be an outsider here. Teide had been listening to the conversation on war and remained out of it. Peace was a fine ideal, but it was just an ideal really.
-
What an odd little creature. "I have no real set price. I give on the basis of what's in demand at the time. So what kind of payment can you give and I'll tell you what'll take." Teide explained.
-
Frosch looked at the meal, "Actually, I think those are a type of bean, I really don't know. But I'm pretty sure they aren't fish eggs." He said with a shrug and then noticed the no mouth creature was gone and hadn't touched the plasma he had put out for her. "Well, that's just mean..." He said.
Teide had her own dealing with the alien that had attacked her guest's personal property. "Ma'am." She said harshly, "I have no authority over what you do, but in my Inn if you cause anymore problems I'll have Briareus thorw you out, literal." She said, "That's your one warning. Now Twitch was it? You wanted a room?" -
"No shame in that my friend." He said as he actually pulled a bottle of it out. "The stuff is packed full of good nuterients." He said as he poured a glass.
-
Frosch nodded, "Right, still a little disconcerning." He said, "But I'm sure I'll live through the nightmares." He said with a laugh. "So my amphibious friend, would you like something to drink?"
-
Frosch nodded towards the returned Kreigg. "I'll have it in a moment sir." He said walking up to the small hole in the wall as a long grey appeared. Covering it were short yellow dashes. It resembled tree bark, "Here you go." Came the slow voice. Frosch grabbed the square plate and set it down for Kriegg. A ring of finely cut red and green vegtable slices surronded a piece of snow white meat that was surprisingly tender, the kind you could cut with a butter knife. It was sitting on a bed round blue beads that appeared ediable. "Well good news, you get to test out the Sapling's newest dish. Uses some sort of sea creature that's suppose to be very tasty, Pur-tos." He said with a smile.
He turned back to the Frog, "Rikti? But isn't their only ship, well, crashed?" That was something of a disturbing thought to Frosch. He had been stranded in the wet lands of Florida durring the Rikti war. His line of thought was distrated as he heard a voice in his head. Frosch turned towards the source to see a mouthless woman. "Well hello there little lady." He said, "Uh, Plasma? Yeah, I can handle that order." He said as he preped the molecular tap. He looked at his new mouthless friend and wondered if he should make her feel more at home by removing his scarf and reveal his own mouthless face.
As the tap preped another meal appeared on a square plate. It appeared to just be bovine meat lightly cooked. Frosch grabbed it and handed it to the dragon man as he saw him starting a fight with a patron. "You're meal sir." He said hoping that would stop the fighting or atleast distract it, "Pur-tos."
He turned back to pouring the plasma into a special cup that would remain cool. He quickly put a lid on it to keep the dangerous stuff from burning a hole in the bar. He handed it to the mouthless woman, "Pur-tos."
Meanwhile Teide was busy going over what she had just made and safely storing it away when the strange new creature appeared. She smiled polietly, "You simple need to pay for a room. With minerals, metals or other objects of value. We also accept human currency, but no other type. So far out here there aren't many place to use it." She said looking over the weapons. "And if you cause any trouble with your weapons you'll be promptly thrown out. You understand why of course." -
"Of course." Frosch said, "Bilari is our head chef, I'll give him your order right away." He tapped the hole that connected the kitchen to the bar, "I have another order sapling. A steak, rare."
Several creaks were heard from the kitchen and then, "Rare? What kind of rare?" The voice came out slowly as if eat word was being used for the first time, "Blood dripping rare? or just pink in the middle rare?" Frosch looked back at the dragon man waiting for an answer. -
Teide looked them over and smiled. Ultimately they were realtively worthless to her. When looking for supplies from spacefaring races such things as gems were pretty worthless. Mostly since most had no use other than the cosmetic kind. But like human curracny she could exchange these for things that would count as intergaltic currancy, trade. "These will certainly do." She said smiling as she picked up a few of them, "This should cover you for about month. Feel free to renew anytime." Teide said as she pulled out a key with the letter D1 engraved upon and again in the other two languages. "The kitchen is open, so feel free to order anything."

((Actually, she got tense after seeing Khell's char. The Draconian in the Circle of Thornes-esqe robes.))
"Now, hmm, you never meantioned your name."
"I appologise, I am called Kei'Thera. A pleasure to aquaint myself with you tavernmistress." Kei swept Teide a courtly bow as she had been taught to give one's host. "I require little, but if you have a room looking to the wilds and not this city, I would greatly appriciate it. I am not sure how you would like payments however. I have several crystals that the round-ears at 'City Hall' seemed most interested in, might those due?"
[/ QUOTE ]
[/ QUOTE ]
((Whoops. My mistake. I don't know how I missed that...))
"No need to call me Tavernmistress, just Teide." She said smiling, "And I'm certain I can arange your room to your desires. As for payment, may I see one of these crystals?" She asked -
"Well yes they are a bit Xenophobic. But they do let the Khaldians operate without much interferance. Well, offical interferance. Though it does mean we have to keep our doors closed to the Rikti. Teide made a deal with Vangaurd not to give aid or comfort to the Rikti and they'd let us set up the Brown Dwarf. Just how it is though, but I have a feeling our amphibious friend wasn't shpt down by humans. They strike me as too wary to cause an intergaltic incedent." Frosch said as he recorked the bottle of alchol Aurak was drinking.

((Say Hermod, Teide still hasn't responded to Kei.))
[/ QUOTE ]
((I did actually. Here's a repost of everything that I did involving Kei.
[ QUOTE ]
Teide smiled as more and more business showed up. Maybe her venture would work outr after all. When Kei'Thera asked for a room she was over joyed. "Of course, I'd be more than happy to book you a room. You may stay as long as you want." She left out the bit about as long as you can pay because she assumed it was emplied. She was running a business after all. Of course Kreigg decided to interrupt them.
[ QUOTE ]
"Heh," Kreigg barked at the blonde, "You could talk t'me, toots."
Kei blinked once before turning to look at Kreigg with a steady gaze, though the impact was likely lessend against a creature that didn't blink in the first place.
"That would be possible, but I would assume the tavernmaster would not appriciate cleaning your remains off the floor the next morning."
[/ QUOTE ]
Teide smiled polietly, "Well, I wouldn't mind too much, but Gyges, Cottus, and Byerus would probably be very angry." She said smiling. "They have to clean this place and they have their hands full as is." She smiled, "Now ma'am, shall we discuss your accomadations." She paused and turned to the blob that was Cafea. "Oh I'm terribly sorry for ignoing you. Do accept my appologies. So much business, but that's no excuse. I'll see what I can do, but we don't have much in the way of real windows. Most of this space is well, not actually inside the building you see. But we may be able to arange something. Talk to me when ever you have a moment free."
About that moment the space distorted and Teide freaked for a moment as she looked to where the source was and saw BOX-2247-U. She was a but shocked, not that she reconized the creature, but because he shouldn't have been able to do that. Not with the specially calbrated devices to give them extra room should have pushed said distortion to the end of the bubble to keep it from collapsing the bubble by tearing it. She stopped herself from yelling, such an act would undoubtably lose her business. Especially if her patrons had silly fears about the potental of the bubble collapsing, that almost never happened anymore.

"Query: this unit has come to seek contact with identified being 'Mister Zero'. Have unidentified beings experienced any contact with him at or before this point in time?"

"You're free to stay as long want to wait for this Mister Zero." Teide said, "You can book a room if needed. But if you don't please leave at closing time. THank you." She said as she turned back to Kei'Thera, "Now, hmm, you never meantioned your name." She noticed her tense when she looked at the machine. Interesting...
[/ QUOTE ]
There ya go.)) -
Frosch nodded and pulled out the bottle and filled it again as Cafea and the Frog man started talking. "An engine fire you say?" Frosch asked, "Ahem, sorry, didn't mean to distract you two. I'm just curious as too who shot you down."
-
She looked at the money for a moment and made some calculations, "I'd say five days." She said, "Would you like to be escorted up now?" She asked taking the money and handing him a key with D4 engraved onto it and again in the other two alien languages.
-
Cottus showed Kreigg to his room and waved the "key" infront of the lock. He opened the door to a realtively large room. It had a single bed. THe wall oppisite the door was a single "window" Really it was a projection of a Striga Isle. Cottus hit a few buttons on a panel on the wall and changed the scene to a tropical beach which caused the rooms heating to kick in. "You can change your enviorment anyway you want with this panel here. It turns off once you lock the door, but only takes a few seconds to warm up once it's unlocked. You can call the front desk or kitchen from any point of the room, just ask." Cottus said looking around hoping he hadn't forgotten anything, normally he wasn't a bellhop but a janitor.
-
Frosch nodded, "Of course." Human's curancy was realtively worthless really, but since it would be accepted for bargining with humans for supplies for actual trading. Frosch nodded towards Teide again, "She handles rooms of course." Frosch said, "Specify whatever you want." He said, "We can handel most things."
-
Teide looked up at the odd man and shook her head slightly, "Of couse sir." She looked over the silver bits. "Cottus?" She called and a man nearly seven feet tall. He was all muscle, though it was the kind of muscle you got from moving heavy things about and not the kind you get from actually working out. His skin was a dull grey color and he had no visable eyes. Instead his head was just thin mouth and throat. He somehow knew where Teide was though and looked right at her.
"Yes ma'am?" The behmoth asked.
"Please take our frind her to room D7" She said not trusting the drunk to get there. Cottus nodded and took the key which was small rod from Teide's hand. Cottus then put a hand on Kreigg's shoulder to guide him to the room.
Frosch looked at the bits and tapped the small square hole into the kitchen, "Sapling, our insect friend wants soemthing to eat, and he left a good price for it. So go for something fancy." Several creeks were all that was heard from the kitchen. -
Frosch nodded, "Well, I don't handle rooms, just drinks." He said as he held the silver chunk in one of his hands and nodded, "Though these will do fine. I can probably give you about six or so more drinks like the first for this. You'll have to ask Teide about a room." He pointed at the woman with crystal hair, "She can tell you what a room will cost you."
-
Frosch put his ungloved hand on it and then nodded, "Never encountered stuff like this..." He said, "Well, if you got more of it I'll have it checked out and I'll tell you what it's worth." He said as he reached for the sphere and caused it to float and then concentrate into a beam of light, "Pur-tos." He said.
