cheers PS, i've been wanting to roll up an empath recently as i've not got a proper healer, was going to go EMP/DP Def but have been really struggling to get interested in any kind of background for him. You've just solved all my problems tho, he'll make the best DP/Pain Corruptor hmmm, now, how to justify him going good, he just looks so beyond redeption, lol! I'll post up how he turns out later. Hmm, this is harder than it seems, but great idea My song was Arctic Monkeys - Knock A Door Run (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=roUKWZ9iTrY) not a band i'm massively into, they're a bit plain for me, but they're in my library none the less. This track tho i quite liked, it's got quite a heavy bassline and lots of guitars which is more my taste and instantly made me think of a large, powerful character, which along with the band name could only lead me to a big arctic gorilla brute. The song itself isn't really about anything other than being a bit wide and causing neglible bother so a tracksuit and trainers had to feature . As for powerset, the song has a great second half that's all bass and guitars gradually increasing in tempo and energy and made me think kinetics melee, that kinda slow wind up to a big release of pow. So a tracksuit wearing, kinetic wielding, arctic ape is what you get!!

As you Lurker, this also isn't a costume i would have ever thought of normally, but adversely, i don't like it, at all . But it is the picture the song painted for me and what a great idea, hope more peeps give it a go

I presume that's not what you were trying to replicate in coh creator for your own character? i'd be interested to see what you were attempting to create, i enjoy a challenge with the creator ... not that i'm saying you couldn't work it yourself of course. Infact there's a few threads here solely dedicated to the creator and what people have produced, that you may be interested in.

Hi guys. I've got a problem here and don't know how to resolve it, wondering if anyone can help.

I've just purchased 5 extra character slots for my acct on union server. the transaction shows on the billing summery as below.

06 Oct 2010 ######## City of Heroes® (Europe) - 5 Character Slots €17,99 (EUR) Paid

the money has also been debited from my acct but a few minutes after i made the transaction, i got an ingame message saying the transaction had failed, and i haven't received the character slots. I contacted support on the NC Soft website, tried to submit a query but when i click continue at the bottom of the page it takes me to a 'create a new acct page'!!! I don't want a new acct, i either want 5 extra character slots for my existing acct, or i want my money back.

Can anyone point me in the right direction here please?

K, i'll kick the beyonder off if you like. Ever since i read secret wars ages ago, i've always thought the beyonder was one of the most ridiculous characters ever. Badly designed background, completely over-powered, and just looks like crap. So this costume is more how i think the beyonder should have looked, instead of that curly haired gimp...

Cheers Powerstream, glad you like it. Funny you mention the enforcer pieces as i purposely chose them for their bulky look this time. I wanted the focus on them as the real purpose of the suit, the heavy super strength equipment, so their usually derided, over the top look has worked in my favour in this costume. Well. i hope, lol!

Also, not wanting to double post, i really want to share the sketch Nazghul did for me for the baron blitzkrieg contest last time. This is the first art i've ever received for my characters so i'm doubley pleased with it. Cheers Naz

Hi guys, some great costumes so far. I've gone out on a bit of a limb with my submission, and i say that because it's very different to your current costumes Bill, and i know it's a look that people either love or hate.. Massive powered armour!!

K, my thinking is that for super strength to work on a normal human in the world of the technoprobable, you couldn't just strap some super servo's to your arms as the rest of your normal body couldn't cope, your super arms could lift a car, but the rest of you would be crushed. The only way would be to have every joint super augmented to give you the strength and then every limb supported to be able to carry the great weights you could then lift.
Also, as a tank you're going to be taking a pummelling, and being super strong isn't going to give you much protection there. So a nice big menacing suit of powered armour just seems to fit the bill... erm, excuse the pun
Lastly, you're a tank, you should be as big as a tank, running him through the SS power set in creator is just mad

As you've said you'd rather concentrate on the tech side rather than the dark armour of the netherworld side of things, you could pass off the dark powers as an unusual source of power for the suit, an anti-matter reactor of some kind, which could be channelled to produce your other abilities... just an idea anyway

here's a couple to start you off. The first one i've made ages ago but never actually used, it's based on a kind of sandman/nightshade type design. The second is my retro hero 'British Hero' rad/dp. Hope they can give some inspiration

Here's my redesign for Baron Blitzkreig. I was adamant i didn't want to use the full helmet and think i went through just about combination of hat/helm/face pieces until i came up with this fairly simple headgear. I've tried to maintain the era of the costume too, although this is supposed to be an update, he's still very much a golden age character. Hope you like, cheers H.

Hi all, just been away for a week or so, so missed the Air-Walker contest which is a shame, looked like a good one

Here's my first costume for Terminal Velocity, it's a full on nanite armoured version, my understanding being that through his control over the nanites he can moderate how armoured he appears to be. I'm just working on the second costume that will hopefully show a different facet of this character.
