There was one largish email sent out on 7/16 at about noon.
The topics included were:
[*]Head Topic: Issue 16, Power Spectrum announcement[*]Going Rogue update[*]Double XP announcement (no clear indication of reactivation weekend)[*]Super Booster III now available announcement[*]City of Heroes "Summer Tour" announcement - SDCC, PAX and HeroCon info[*]Miscellaneous links and help.
No Ritki announcement was sent.
The email was sent from: newsletter@ncsoft.com as the sending address.
It was actually received from: newsletter.newzyouwant.com (rs1.netatlantic.com [69.25.195.202])
Thunderbird had to be informed that no, it was not a scam.

I didn't get this one. Yes, I'm signed up to receive newsletters from NCSoft. Yes, my correct e-mail address is listed in my account. All known NCSoft e-mail addresses are on my white list. The newzyouwant.com address is on my white list, too, because I'd read that the original Going Rogue e-mails came from that address. (But I didn't get those either.) Besides that, I regularly check my e-mail's spam folder before deleting it anyway.
I'm not getting some NCSoft e-mails, and there's no reason on my end for why that's happening. -

I am still not getting any official sendouts except my bug reports in the Email, and I re-signed up when this was a new topic.
Please do something about this! I'm positive I should have gotten something about both the Rikti invasion AND 2x XP weekend, right? I mean, they used to be things that would come in the email.
[/ QUOTE ]
Same.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ditto. There's a problem with NCSoft emails going out, and it's not on the player's end in many cases. -

My number 1 moment for me is probably the night of the 7/7 bombings. A massive crowd gathered in Galaxy City Arena lobby and we had a moment of silence for the people in London. I was shocked by the turnout of people there, and some people said some rather impacting things.
[/ QUOTE ]
That's near the top of my list, too. -

Gah! Would have loved Parable as a name
[/ QUOTE ]
Would have been much better, especially considering there's already a Desdemona in the game. -
Nope. Just don't unpublish it. Edit the arc and republish it, but DO NOT click "Unpublish."
HoF arcs can be edited and republished as much as you want. Dev Choice, on the other hand, are locked and unchangeable (unless you unpublish them). -

I haven't had this happen to me but I have read about it happening to others. My guess is he had Villain chat turned off, that was the case in the other scenarios.
[/ QUOTE ]
This happens often.
Now the GMs hate villains!
Actually, send a PM to Nivienne about it... this is starting to become too common.
A workaround is to use a global channel and ask a hero to send a /tell to the GM to enable their hero chat.
[/ QUOTE ]
Couldn't you get the global name of the GM and send them a global tell? -

This morning, when trying to log into Virtue (and had same on some other west coast servers), I get the error message of "Couldn't connect to DB server". I was able to get in for a half hour to an hour, disconnected, same error. Was able to log back in for now, but there might be something that should be checked out.
East coast servers, like Victory, no problem.
Note: I'm in Iowa, and running the Mac client so the normal tools suggested to get dumps aren't available.
Update: Just able to log in, but I'm posting anyway in

Friends and I stopped playing about 9 months ago. Needless to say we defaulted on our base rent.
I came back but my other friends haven't (yet).
I think I have enough prestige to pay the rent but I don't know how. I have a character with "overlord" status but building and maintaining the base was not something I dealt with.
[/ QUOTE ]
Go to the supergroup registrar in Port Oaks (he's in the big building around the Marconeville map marker) to pay the base rent. If you've got Overlord rank, you'll be able to pay it. Other ranks can pay it, too, if the permissions allow it. Hero-side, you can pay rent at the supergroup registrars in City Hall (Atlas) and the Freedom Corps building (Galaxy City).
[ QUOTE ]
Also, is there anyway to add my own characters to the supergroup or does that take at least one other player?
[/ QUOTE ]
Gotta have at least one other player. -

It was a change done awhile back... Issue 13 or 14?

EDIT: Yep, Issue 14. As long as your account is active, they won't "take your stuff" after 60 days. -
FYI, there's an actual forum for posting arcs and getting feedback here .

This arc is hilarious and well-done. I gave it 5 stars and it's on my "would play again" list.

Mission four: Without spoiling it, there's nothing even vaguely plausible about the custom mobs in this mission, not even as Arachnos propaganda. Yes, the hostage rescues were funny, but after all the attention you paid to canon in missions 1-3, it felt really off.
[/ QUOTE ]
I kind of looked at the presence of these ridiculous custom mobs as making a point about the absurdity of Nemesis plots. I think we're all aware of Venture's love affair with Nemesis... -

In other words: if you're playing MA story-arcs and intentionally refusing to give any of them 5-stars, then are either an idiot or you are griefing.
