I used to think there was a nice spike on Friday and Sunday nights with deep valleys during prime time as people throw stuff at Wents in a hurry. Now I'm not sure, but since the stuff sits around in its market slot the whole weekend, it doesn't really matter WHEN people throw money and/or recipes at me.
I agree fully, some market item is very profitable to stock up during weeks days, not selling and sell in weekends. As a player you have more downtime in weekend, meaning time where the SGs arnt around for action, which leaves time for caring for builds, which triggers the market peak. Thats been my thought so far on this mechanism
  4. there are alot of different market tactics, been trading now for 3-4y and funding alot of my SGs work and having all the purples i need, i feel proficient in trading. The choices i have made are

    - only trade recipe, sell and buy (or maybe salvage but its very high maintenance if you have larger inf amount which need to be invested). Volume matters. The 10 pr. slot is crucial (sell 10 recipe with a 50% profit instead of 1 for 150%)
    - Decide if you wanna do long term buy up of low volume recipes or will do high maintenance trading of high volume recipes. I have toons how do both, but never mix the 2 strategies on one toon. The goal is to ensure high buy/sell rate on high volume trader
    - Never grow too attached to specific market niche(1 specific recipe for example), market fluctuates too much in coh imho, and if it didnt, too steady prices draws to much competitions as its easy money. So use 20-30% of trading time looking for trading items with positive development trends (a basic feel of why a recipe is worth the amount shown in history helps to spot positive trend, especially combined with knowledge of the game. Like when first wave of prea toons hit lvl50 and purples start raising, thats a trend)
    - Only go all-in when market is generally in postive trend. Which means sometimes your inf is much better invested in your pocket as market is generally declining
    - never be afraid to admit your wrong and take a loss and sell of bad investments under buy price, when you know you have been wrong, instead of having both inf and market slots tied up for a long period of time. Look at your market slots as potted plants, they need to be nurished with competitive priced stuff/sharp offers and they must give you a profit or be dealt with (well potted plants do actually give you a profit! or, well, ive been told, cause mine always seem to dies anyways)

you can see my buys in market by the x777.777 signature, anyone else have signatures they wanna share?

  5. trick question?? Farming isnt fun, cant give you answer. Why dont dev just make it possible to buy a lvl50 toon for 20$ and get all this farming nonsense delt with. Its like RL, its the journey, not the destination, that matters. Its playing the game, not getting to 50 asap that matters.

  6. Fillers attacks for fury or domination building like procs too. As focus is to hit often and alot, but not for the damage just for the added effect on powers who need to be build, a chance to cause some extra should på e perfect match, low slottage for high DPS

    Best team AT

My 2 fav team support toons (havem both at 50 playing often) is

Defender cold/dark. This toon will singlehandedly make a team of anything stand up to even the toughest challenges, cold is a defensebased shielder with some really nice buffs. The dark secondary if by far the most helpfull support secondary due to the huge to hit debuffs and control. Defense shields + acc debuffs is plain unfair and arachnos forum have had a sticky *nerf-it-now* 3y straight now

Defender kin/dark. If you have a team that know how to handled themselves, kin will makem shine, speed/endurance/extreme recharge/extreme damage buffs for all. Kinetic is imho the most gameplay affecting set in coh, well actually 2 powers does it alone, speed boost and fulcrum. Teamteleport into mob+fulcrum with 8 toon on SB is like detonating a bomb.

took me 4y of playing to understand the true potential of defenders

  8. Brawl is pretty lethal if used over and over and over and over again *Goes back to brawling dr.Vhaz*

  9. The power effect all players stare most at is.....travel powers, no doubt. So if devs want to improve the basic feeling of the game, one place where they could add alot with low effort is here. Make the travel experience more fun and smooth. Ideas for this could be more randomness in travel animation, abit more situational awereness in animation (diving or decenting when flying, jump landings and take offs, depending on surfaces and surrounding obstacles, Superjumpers fall when missing ledge/hitting walls, superspeeders lean forwards/backwards depending on elevation of terrain). ALot of this is prob extremly hard to make, but im sure slight changes that make traveling feeling abit more like toon is actually struggelig and living while moving, and small enhances to the mini-game i normally play when traviling, superjumping, trying to hit ledges and stuff would be warmly welcomed.

Another idea for improvement is transition from normal move to travel power move. Like when getting into your car fastning seatbelt, adjusting mirror, turning on engine, the anticipation for some action builds. Feeling your now in travel mode and you gonna do it superhero style.

    Best AOE combo?

If its pure damage, low survivability, you want, experienced blasters rule with regards to AOE damage output. I can recommend
    - fire/fire blaster (abit melee centric)
    - arch/fire blaster (mostly targeted AOE centric, rain of arrows is just awesome, no end downtime and shootable everymob if you boost rech enough)

If you like to survive for longer periods of time , theres several nice AOE builds, ive lvled to 50 and can recommend
    - Fire/fire/fire brute
    - Spines/DA/dark scrapper
Im able to tank well on both up to +2s, the spines/da needs alot of work to have a viable build endurance wise, but is extremly fun playing, and feels like a lawnmover, both herding and killing well
  11. I would buy eyefinity card and a 3rd monitor today if COH supported it, so yes plz prioritize development of this
