    My Fire/EM build

    Thanks for the tips...

I worked on the build a little more tonight and think i got it where i want it. I took some of yalls ideas but kept a couple things to fit my play-style. Im keeping rain of fire because i find it very useful against stalkers and TF because of the bonus' i can get from it and when using it at the end of a combo with aim/bu on it does pretty devastating dmg and if im attacking with a teammate it can usually kill squishes from half hp as long as my teammate has a good attack coming as well. I thought about frakenslotting fire blast and blazing bolt but between the dmg bonus, recharge and kb protection i would lose (and have to slot for kb somewhere else) i dont think i would like it as much as i have it now..ntm i lose about 40 feet range on my snipe. I did however drop cold mastery and go with force with pff and a great resist shield and kept concealment and picked up phase-shift for an o-**** power because i seem to need one of those on a blaster quite a bit. I was able to keep stam 5 slotted for the dmg bonus then moved panacea to health and 5 slotted it for the range mostly (was only gonna be 4 for the hp but the more range i have the better). My hp finally reached cap and my dmg bonus actually went up to +34.5%. I run through alot of endo between RoF and snipes so im gonna keep conserve power.

If i remember correctly PFF doesnt have an external CD like hibernate and phase shift have right? My only concerns with having pff and phase shift is getting all my end sucked away before i get a chance to use it. I took almost all of the +kb from power thrust and its mag went down to 24.55, does that mean ill only be able to KB people will less than that amount protection? The way i see it most people have either 41KB protection or less than 10 so 24.55 seems like an okay mag to be at. Also why would i want power boost? It would of increased the heal from hoarfrost if i still had it and i guess the mag on my KB.. i think it increases to-hit bonus' also? I just dont see a huge need for it.

Edit: Im going to look into the alpha with +recharge and see if i can make up for the loss of dmg with more set bonus' but i got a feeling thats going to be hard. I just dont have enough time right now while im working long hours 6-7 days a week

    My Fire/EM build

I just got back into the game a few weeks ago after taking a break for over 2 years. I thought it was about time to give this toon a revamp but im not up to date on any of the pvp changes. It was 2 weeks after i came back before i knew fitness was inherent......lol. This is the build im thinking about respecing into soon. Any and all feedback would be great.

For my incarantes ill be running Musc. (thats the one with the 45% dmg right lol), Barrier or Rebirth depending on circumstances.. Phantoms for AB (come get me now therms), Ion, The interface with the fire Dot, and finally the alpha that has the chance to do a high portion of your damage on top of the original dmg.

    Stats
    1567 HPs
    165% Recharge (with Hasten)
    +32% Dmg Bonus
    +77% Acc
    +16.9% To Hit
+92% Range (with perma boost range)
Assuming Capped Run/Jump Speed and Height (unless they changed the DR with movement speed)

I really wanted the 46 KB instead of the 41 because a little part of me dies everytime i get KB'd in pvp so i need that to stop. My travel powers are hami'd out because i feel like travel speed is very important in RV while chasing and running.

The biggest concerns i have about the build is stealth and grant invis. I will rarely, if ever, use those powers, i only took them to slot karma KB protection to open up 2 more slots. They were 2 of the 3 powers i picked up once i didnt need to grab the fitness pool (third one was conserve power). Another thing is i noticed i have six 7.5% recharge bonus' yet when i remove a lotg i still lose the 7.5% recharge. Are lotgs considered a different bonus from the 7.5% on the Javelin set?? I would like to cap my HP but not sure what i should sacrifice to do that or if its even worth what i will lose.
  3. Was in RV today messing up duels left and right. they started in the train but after i took that over they got a little more creative. took a duel down under the highway near train and another near echo. had 2 people saying they would report me. those guys really dont like having that happen to them. the thing i dont get is most of them do nothing but duel in RV. ill never see alot of them show up in an actual fight in zone. Welcome to OPEN ZONE pvp.
  4. Well it looks like a decent team for an attempt at this. if the first 8 all show up (Mr.E on his brute, Rex on either toon really and me on my /cold) we should have a good shot at it. either try pulling one at a time or fighting on the globe. if we fight up on the globe maybe rex (err soviet) should get on his /traps to help with immolbs. ive never ran any rsf like that so im not really sure what it consist of.

btw i guess ill tell you the names of the toons since everyone else is. the kin is burningfulcrum and the cold is arcticsavior
  5. Id like to join that team. I can bring a fire/kin or fire/cold corruptor, whichever it looks like we need more.

For the last mission I think the "easiest" way to do this is 2 mind doms sleeping the heroes as we pull them one at a time. ive seen it done plenty with one mind dom but there are 2 many other variables to be completely safe. If we dont plan on sleeping them then we need someone who really knows how to pull one at a time on the last mission. ive only seen one person successfully pull only 1 or 2 at a time and never been able to do it myself. with a good team (meaning the players more then the builds) we can tear through all but the last mission without a scratch. And if for some reason we cant get good pulls, having 2 brutes on the team and a good healer (thermal/pain) will come in handy if we happen to pull most or all of them at once.
  6. Just ran my fire/kin on a Dr. Q the other night. that toon has only siphon speed and swift, no combat jumping or any other form of travel powers (other then the jetpack). i was beating everyone that had travel powers to just about every mish. i was using the jump pads to my advantage, but i still had to hit siphon speed on a target as everyone else flew by me. but also i dont think anyone has mentioned siphon speed also affects the raptor packs. not sure about jump packs though

id say that unsupressed movement with siphon speed is its best quality in terms of movement (of course the recharge is better). the worse quality being not that you have to target someone to use it but that it has a chance to miss. you can usually find near by enemies anywhere you are but when it misses, youre left in "slowsville" until it recharges.
