  1. Still looking into some of these. The Praetorian badge is for taking out the AVs apparently.

    No word on the Rikti/Zookeeper badge.

    Shrouded and Mutlidimensional should be working but that means hunting the Black Shroud and Hydra zones which are instanced portal missions.

    Head of Hydra appears to be broken.
  2. I remember vaguely when they pulled Babbage, it was before Issue #1 went live. I think they didn't bother with his spawn back then because there was no pressing need for a non-TF spawn of him like there is now.
  3. The contact that gives the Negotiator badge varies depending on your origin. It should be the same person who gives you other gang wars and deals primarily with Skulls or the Clockwork. I've usually gotten it from the contact up on the eastern section of King's Row east of the Yellow Line. If your over 9th level and never did the mission you'll need to find someone else with the mission and team with them to get Negotiator.
  4. Well you don't NEED to take out Babbage to finish the TF and some groups will either skip him to get to the last door or use travel powers and enter it without even knowing that Babbage has spawned.

    As for defeat badges for monsters on TFs the Jurassik one should be awarded to anyone who does the Numina TF since to complete it you absolutely have to defeat Jurassik.
  5. From the updated directions I put on my site:

    250 yds SW of Gish Waypoint. Its a mid-level roof on a dark brown building with a catwalk connecting it to the tan building next to it. There is an empty lot on the north side of the building between the building and the road. It's about 4-5 buildings West of the street that runs north-south through the Gish Waypoint. The roof area has no vents on it.
  6. Well they'd have to redo the text on the badge, and the portal mission belong to a 'Crazed' faction and not 'Contaminated' faction. I noticed there are a ton of them spawning in the back side of the hot zone. Even before the badge I sometimes had problems finding the 2/4 contaminated if there were a bunch of other people doing the tutorial at the same time. They also spawn a lot more frequently than they used to.
  7. The Head of the Hydra appears broken (no dev confirmation though).

    The Black Shroud and Hydra Dimenion badges were supposedly fixed just before Issue #2 went live but nobody's located them yet.

    Zookeeper is supposedly for the Rikti but nobody has been able to trigger the badge with ANY type of Rikti.

    Babbage was removed from Boomtown before Issue #1 due to conflicts with teh Synapse TF spawning.

    I suspect this fate may have befallen Jurassik as well since he's a required spawn on the Numina TF.

    Sky SKiffs so far have only been spotted on the 24-33 range TV respec trial. Someone mentioned seeing one once in a door mission but nowhere else.

    As far as I know the only other badges with problems are the Numina TF badge being awarded properly and Redeemer has a fix in the works for teammates not getting it when the mission is done.
  8. Actually your first trip to the Hollows is at level 5. Your second contact tells you to talk to the officer. Once you talk to him you can leave and as of recent patches he is now right by the entrance surrounded by drones AND they lowered the levels of the mobs near the entrance.

    You don't have to do the officer's missions right away, just talking to him (and getting him as a contact) is enough for the first mission and you can return and do the regular missions you're used to.

    Yes you can get sent to the Hollows at 6 or higher with door missions but I've actually gotten a door mission in Perez at 6th level before, and I've gotten Boomtown missions in level 18-19 spawn areas while level 16. Sometimes door missions spawn in tough areas of a zone that you are of a level to go to, its somewhat random.

    I remember being annoyed at my first mission out of the tutorial being in the very SW corner of Atlas Park in the red area and it takes a long time to run there and back. The Hollows is pretty equivalent to Perez Park with its spawn levels (actually its starts off a couple levels lower than Perez with the spawn levels fixed near the AP entry) and is designed for pretty much the same exact levels (Hollows is 5-15, PP is 6-15).
  9. Send in a bug/petition. If you look in General the datamining is supposedly done or just about done. People are still missing a few badges here and there but for the most part they have them. If you did it in the past you should be getting the badge. If you never did it then you will have to wait for the 'flashback' solution or whatever fix they put in to allow you to go back to get content you outlevelled.

    Also if your talking on test they may not be datamining test or the past TF's done on live may not carry over to test with the character copy.
  10. There's a rumor about it but so far nobody has received an accolade that way and I think a few people have done all the TF badges. There were also rumors that the accolades came from completing all of a set of badges, as in exploration, history, villain defeat. The accolades come from doing a set of badges that are related by theme not by type.
  11. What is the text on the badge you got so I can add it to my site. Knowing the length of time isn't too important as long as we can safely say that it is based on time. Also did you just mentor sidekicks, just exemplar, do both? Also did you get it while/just after exemplaring or being a sidekick mentor?
  12. The Vahz Plague/Patient Zero story arc is not the Plague Stopper badge. The Plague Stopper badge comes from a mission in the same level range that involves an attempt to poison the water supply (sort of a one mission version of the earlier Vahz story arc involving the water dept id). None of the story arcs award mission badges.
  13. Positron: Since I'm monitoring all the badge threads for my site I was hoping for a few pieces of clarification.
    [*]Will there be a way to get the Babbage badge outside of doing Synapse's Task Force and will he be spawning in Boomtown again in the future?[*]Do any of the portal mission versions of enemy types count? I've heard mixed results on this especially with monsters (Babbage and Adamastor) and BP Spirits.[*]Is there any chance of getting clarification on which badges are needed for the accolades as I keep hearing 'I got awarded it after getting X badge' and someone else saying 'I got it and I don't have X badge'. I don't want a full spoiler but if I provided a list of what we've determined to be required could you let me know which ones are right and which ones are wrong?[*]Zookeeper defeat badge. Is this badge working properly? Nobody has been able to get it or a progress bar for any type of Rikti. Is Zookeeper actually for the Rikti? Is it like Isolator and doesn't show until awarded?[*]Mentoring badges. This set of three badges are the only ones I've not seen any details on and apparently nobody has gotten. Am I right in assuming they come from being an exemplar or mentor for a sidekick for a duration of time?
    [*]As for the TV trial I've not seen a badge for the trial itself listed in the pigg files. I was able to find 4 trial badges but there are 5 trials in the game and am thinking the TV trial is the missing one. The ones I've located in the files are: Transmogrified (this could be TV but I'm thinking its Hamidon), Charmer (Hydra trial, confirmed), Transcended (seems pretty obvious its for the Cave of Transcendence), and Liberator (seems pretty obvious to be for the Prisoners of Eden).

    And in case you've missed a few reports in various threads:
    [*]Head of the Hydra seems to be broken on live as nobody has been able to locate it in the Hydra trial (though they do get the trial badge).[*]Status bars for defeat badges seem to be flaky, many aren't updating with certain enemies when mutliple enemy types count for the badge (embalmed seems to be the most common to do this). People are saying the enemies do count since they get the badge when the bar is anywhere from 1/3 to 3/4 full.[*]Window scaling seems to affect the progress bars as well. I have scaling at 65% and the text doesn't wrap properly and many of the bars will randomly draw with or without blue top and bottom borders. This glitch seems to be affecting map outlines as well on door missions. I'm also thinking this is tied to the chat windows 'scrolling' issue and the maps not centering properly when zoomed in.
  14. Were you helping them do the missions before Issue #2 went live? If so that wasn't tracked, what is happening is anyone on a team with a badge mission gets the badge (if they don't already have it) when the team gets the 'Mission Complete' notification. I'm fairly certain that the mission completion is still only logged and trackable for the person who was assigned the mission, otherwise someone on the team would not be able to get the mission themselves afterwards.
  15. When you called in for the completion did everyone get an SO reward for the TF? I remember there being an issue with the TF not fully completing (though it would break up) and giving rewards if the leader didn't go back and talk to the NPC rather than call in and if people weren't in the same zone as the NPC. The badge is tied into the same code that gives the SO reward from what I can tell.
  16. Nobody has gotten the TV trial badge because it doesn't exist, at least not fully. The placeholder for it is there but the actual badge isn't in the pigg files. Only 4 of the 5 trials have existing badges. On test there wasn't even a placeholder for the TV trial badge so we never realized there was supposed to be a trial badge or it probably would have been fixed before Issue #2 went live.

    Babbage won't be retroactive, just as no other defeat badges will be. For Babbage its also not required to defeat him to complete the Synapse TF, just funner.

    Story Arcs don't award badges, ever. this post lists all the mission badges and the known requirements for them (level range and specific mission). Here's a brief Summary of how many mission badges you should have if you did all the missions at each level range:

    1-4 = 0
    5-9 = 1
    10-14 = 2
    15-19 = 3
    20-24 = 5
    25-29 = 7
    30-34 = 9
    35-39 = 11
    40-44 = 13
    45-50 =15


    Apparently they are STILL datamining the TF badges and I've heard that those still missing badges are mostly missing ones done within a week or two of Issue #2 going live so they probably started at the oldest and are working their way to the present time.

    You generally will not see any response about a /bug submission. If you want an email and to hear from a GM you will need to use /petition instead.
  17. You can't exemplar to do Task Forces and so far there's no evidence that task forces or trials are needed to get any of the accolades. If you did the TF before Issue #2 you should get credit for it. The defeat and status badges you have to earn from scratch as they didn't track the information needed before.

    The mission is in the 15-19 range (same as Patient Zero arc).
  18. 1) Its against the woods next to the wall on a pedastal a ways north of the Atlas Park entrance to the park, usually has a group of skulls near it.

    2) 492 yards SW of entrance. In line with West edge of Coroman Manufacturing area.
  19. Hmmm you should have Pupil if you've hit all five plaques in the four zones. Are you sure you clicked on all five plaques?

    Negotiator is earned by doing the level 5-9 Skulls vs. Clockwork timed mission.
  20. Positron has stated the Isolator badge is entirely an easter egg badge (that's why its the only defeat X badge with no progress bar). It doesn't count towards existing accolades nor will it ever count. Also the contaminated in the portal mission DO NOT count for the badge (someone confirmed this finally).
  21. The Plague stopper is for a standalone (and I think timed) mission to find barrels of poison. It isn't part of the story arcs for the Vahzilok. This badge is one of the confusing ones because there's a story arc and standalone mission that share the same theme.
  22. If you didn't get the badge from Babbage then there's a bug and the badge is broken since he doesn't spawn in Boomtown anymore and the psychic version of him doesn't give a badge either.

    Teh task forces break off every five levels and currently there's no way to go back and do one you missed.
  23. Not sure if its all the CoT but I do know that it requires Illusionist which is the Carnival of Shadows Illusionist defeat badge.

    As for the missing mission badges I'd say if you don't have it by today its probably a good idea to bug it as the datamining should be pretty much done now.
  24. There will be some changes coming, for one the badges will be smaller popups not fullsized windows and without all the links and graphics, this was just a first step to get things functional. I've got one person offering to do a banner and if you're interested as well PM your email to me and I can send you the blank template (correct size and has the border with a black 'fill') and CoH logo.

    My plan is to group all badges by type and by default just show the zones and number of badges and have them expand to show individual badges for that zone. I was short on time yesterday and really didn't want to hold off the site until everything was completed.

    Thanks for the feedback. Also in the works is maps and search features (searching for a specific badge, sorting badges by type, zone, name).
  25. Okay, only a couple days late and not as nice looking as I'd like but a 'beta' version of the website is up now. I will continue to work on it to add more functionality and make it a bit more visually appealing. Don't worry I have a test site so nothing will change on this site until its tested and works.

    Here's the City of Heroes Badges And Plaques Locator site. I'd appreciate feedback and suggestions.

    A few known things:

    1) THe title banner sucks but I'm not particularly artisticly inclined so if anyone would like to do a better one contact me and I can provide the template with the border and the CoH logo.

    2) Only the main button looks right, haven't tracked down the font used on this site for buttons to make the buttons look right yet (CuppaJo's been helping but with Issue #2 going live she's not heard back from the person yet).

    3) The badges list is too large, next step will be to break it up a bit more and probably make expanding tabs for types rather than just a table of everything.

    4) The credits page isn't loaded yet. I've mined all the names for the list I just need to write it up and get it up there, should be up within a couple more days.

    5) Maps and images of the badge icons will be coming in the future.
