So, what is the Double Random Art Tossup (the D.R.A.T.)?
It is your chance to have a custom-made commission featuring your character without lifting a finger or paying a dime.
1) Basically, all you have to do is provide your name and references for the character you want to have rendered in a duo piece with Gray Huntress or Jackalynn (you decide who'd you would prefer in your post). Easy as that.
2) The next step would be to wait until 5-10-09, because that's the deadline.
3) The Double Random comes from the mystery artist...I don't even know who it is because I'm leaving it to the great talented men and women in these forums to volunteer to do the commission. Don't worry, I'm paying you for the duo commission at your standard price.
4) 5-10-09: I will randomly draw among the entries for both the character and the artist. I'll bring the news to the forums, then its all business from there.
Hehe, the more the merrier!

To aid in the decision process, I'll post brief bios for both Gray and Jackalynn; for samples of these two femme fatales just click the linky in my siggy:
Gray Huntress
Age: 34
Archetype: Archery/Devices/Force Mastery Blaster
Personality: Gray sometimes seems cocky, blunt, and volumes could be read behind her words that often carry double meanings. She approaches battle like a wolf playing with it's prey; she is confident victory is already assured. The Huntress often goes ahead full force and demeans her peers when they hold back. She is a vigilante, not a hero or villain, so she chooses the side that suits her 'better' judgement.
Bio: Gray Huntress, or Apollonia "Polina" Fanakov, was born in Grozny, Chechnya to a former Honduran bounty hunter, Mist Arrow, and a father she never met, Dr. Ivan Fanakov, a famous missing Russian geneticist. Polinas mother tried to raise her as best as she could, but the latter part of Mist Arrows life and Grays entire childhood focused on finding her missing father.
Her mother began training her to follow in her footsteps as soon as she could draw a bow and tried to instill a sense of duty to the man she never knew. The world knew Fanakov as a brilliant scientist that was pushing the bounds of the human genome, and that he mysteriously vanished from the world without a trace in 1975. Nine months after his disappearance, Mist Arrow launched her unfinished crusade to find the man she loved; a man who also saved her from the clutches of the Council. This crusade led to Paragon City.
As Gray grew into her teenage years, she thought this was a fools quest and had frequent disagreements with her mother. Their key conflict was their different approaches to pursuing the Council. Mist Arrow believed that the men should be arrested, interrogated, and sent to Zig for their crimes; Gray Huntress believed that lethal force was necessary to deal with them and was just punishment enough. If they lived to see another day, then they could still potentially escape and put a bullet in your back later; a problem easily solved early. But this created an irreparable rift between mother and daughter, and, in rebellion, Gray left her mother to her doomed crusade for her homeland, Russia.
In 1993, she was one of the founding members of the Valiant Defenders of the Motherland, the first independent Russian Hero Organization. She was a huge hit among the Russian youth, but broke many young conservative mens hearts when she was one of the few heroes to openly come out as bisexual. Gray was the only natural human on the team and yet she was also the most wild, performing daring, near-suicidal stunts with remarkable success without recognition of her mortality. She basked in the fame and controversy surrounding her, but harsh reality struck her hard during the first Rikti War. While she admirably did her part in the war, back in Paragon City Mist Arrow met her untimely demise. She was on the team of heroes responsible for taking down the Rikti Mothership which crashed in the zone now known as the Rikti War Zone. Live footage was taken of her final moments as she hung on for dear life atop the plummeting ship, apparently caught under some debris. News of her mothers death immediately prompted Gray to leave the Valiant Defenders and return to Paragon.
She avoids the spotlight in Paragon City and hasnt officially been on the news for some time, since she doesnt want to bring too much attention to her questionable methods; something frowned upon by most heroes. Even though she doesnt believe her father is even alive, she continues her mothers search to honor her life. Polina isnt afraid to jump into the area where justice is gray, and perhaps shell be able to uncover the fate of Dr. Fanakov, letting her mothers spirit rest.

Jackalynn
Age: 34
Archetype: Gravity Control/Energy Assault Dominator; thats the closest archetype that could fit into Jackalynns concept as a telekinetic. All her abilities are through the use of invisible force; her will is exhibited through the reactions to her powers rather than the actions.
Personality: Codename Jackalynn is everything Gray Huntress could have been if her mother, Mist Arrow and Dr. Fanakov hadnt kidnapped her from the Council test laboratories in Sicily in 1975. She is arrogant, manipulative, power-hungry, and super-powered. Though she shares Grays lethality, Jackalynn lacks her better sisters control over who deserves to die and who just dies.
Background: Jackalynn is the primary specimen and leader of the Councils Project: Legion; a project that spawned literally hundreds of clones based off of Mist Arrows DNA. Gray Huntress is still labeled by the Council as the Perfect Specimen, because they altered her genetic code to be perfectly human in every way, shape, and form and thus the best platform for them to create a customized super-hero from scratch. The Huntress was abducted from the Project before any experiments could be performed, so Jackalynn was the next best subject.
While Gray theoretically could have held virtually unlimited power, the scientists had to choose carefully on what to do with Jackalynn; their final decision was to alter her psyche to allow her to perform advanced feats of telekinesis, because technically, with enough finesse, Jackalynn could do almost anything she could focus her mind on.
She was raised from childhood along with four other sister clones to lead the Legion: Pyrefox, a highly temperamental and ambitious pyrokinetic; Dhole Pack, a docile, but insane, telepath and controller; Hounder, a formidable blade-wielder gifted with foresight; and Spirit Coyote, physically comatose, but her psionic ability of astral projection allows her to interact with the physical realm without the fear of death. Meanwhile, the Legion were hundreds of lesser clones that were labeled as Thralls. They are capable of independent thought and action just as any person, but the five leaders all share the ability to wrest control over their actions from them at a moments notice to serve as footsoldiers for their own goals. Each leader has been trained to be capable of controlling the whole Legion with minor concentration, minus control over the other four and Gray naturally.
Project: Legion was officially activated two years ago when an insider tip from the Council led Gray Huntress to their base of operations. Overcome with the horror of realizing her own identity was a lie, Gray was nearly defeated by Jackalynn in combat; fortunately the rest of her team arrived to save her. Today, the Legion functions as an independent shadow organization within the Council known only to the Center and his inner circle. Jackalynn has the liberty to lead her team to whatever ends she deems necessary, or desirable; though she still performs delicate operations for her superiors when they require her services.
She loves power and exhibits her own as much for show as for purpose; she would be more likely to tear a ten-ton gargoyle off a building to use as a weapon, when telekinetically manipulating a crowbar would be just as effective. And Jackalynn seeks possible ways to magnify her abilities even more at whatever cost, as long as its not too personal.
