lol everyone made it in this time!! Great job everyone! Got a little hairy there at the end huh?

I want to thank everyone this month for sticking with it. With the new issue and the new pack i know it's taken a lot of focus off of this.

OK so out of the below 13 pieces, I would like you to vote for ONE that, in your opinion, best catches the mood/feeling/vibe of the "VS" theme. (try to remember, you're voting for the piece, not the artist)

The winner, will have immunity from May's challenge (provided they submit a piece in May, they cannot be eliminated).

Some notes:
<ul type="square">[*]ImagesByAlex has immunity this month as the winner of March
<ul type="square">[*]There will be an elimination this month! The artist with the lowest amount of votes will be eliminated. In case of a tie, we will have a vote off between those who are tied!
Voting will be closed on May 1st - midnight PST!

Make sure you get the word out and have everyone vote!

Voting for... Tacky_Tricky!

Just because, well. L_D's got a megaton worth of elephant right there, and I figured I'd at least spread some of the vote around.

This is a really, really tough call. But I guess I'll have to go with Juggertha... I'm loving the above/underwater contrast a bit too much.

Posted

I'm gonna have to go with Lousy day, with honorable mentions for Juggertha and tricky tacky.

Posted

I just have to go with Lousy Day on this one. If nothing else, for uniqueness alone.

This was REALLY hard for me to choose because I loved Tacky_Tricky's piece again so much but.... gonna have to go with Lousy_Day. Lovin' that stained glass and its a very cool way to do the theme.

Next month I want to see someone submit a macaroni artwork piece!

can anyone vote? if so then i vote for Tacky

Tacky_Tricky gets my vote

I vote for crazy stained-glass man.

This is TOUGH!

I looked at all of them, over and over and over - It really came down to three (Projectionist, Juggertha, and Lousy_Day). back and forth, back and forth. It was just so difficult to choose.

But in the end, for having "the entire package" - I decided to go with:

Juggertha

Tacky_Tricky is my vote. I want to see that piece totally colored!

I'm going to have to go with Projectionist on this one.

Good luck everyone.

Wow! Apples and oranges and pears and pomegranates.

This is the toughest call yet.

I'll be honest. I pared it down quickly to 6 and then to 4 that are, IMHO a cut above. The stained glass piece is pretty amazing and way outside the box. Juggy's piece is full of freem and just cool beyond belief. TrickyTacky's linework is simply amazing, but I think I feel that Projectionist gets my vote for best all around. Nothing overly fancy, just a really fine job.

So, my vote: Projectionist.

But awe and wonder for the others mentioned here.

Special mentions to L_D, Juggs, and Projectionist...

My vote goes to Tacky_Tricky! (We had best see that finished, mister!!!)

Toughest one yet, but I'll vote for Tacky_Tricky. Amazing lines.

I'm voting for John Printemps. Love the details, the posing, the contrast, and the backstory.

honorable mention goes to Tacky Tricky, Lousy Day, and Projectionist. Last two being my wife's favorites.

UGH!!! and i thought the pressure was just getting something submitted. I'm still working on it and i hope that it will get done soon.

Besides that my vote goes to Lousy_Day

My vote goes to Juggertha. It was a toss-up between Juggertha, Tacky Tricky and Projectionist. I probably would have gone with Tacky Tricky if he had made a little more progress. I decided to go with Juggertha because he set the pace for the month with an early submission, and his piece feels the most like a finished piece out of those three.

Very very tough to decide this month.

I'll go with Lousy Day for his amazing and highly original stained glass piece.

Projectionist and John Printemps were not far behind.

im voting for myself ..due to the fact I know how much trouble I had to go through for it..

I woulda voted for Tacky if I knew how to get those lines that thin myself..sigh.. its still a mystery to me

and im not voting for the stained glass cuz I know everyones mostly gonna vote for (* as it deserves lots of votes *)

My vote goes to Toxic_Shia

Alot of great pieces, but Shia's made me laugh while still giving a great 'versus' feeling. I would so totally buy that comic.

Like a great Holmes vs Moriarty story with giant robots and time travel.

Hmm, I suppose I could spread the vote-love to someone else because his victory seems assured, but wait, then that's one vote he won't have. So I'll follow through with Lousy_Day, not only is the piece absolutely beautiful and unique, you can see the double meanings behind the construction of the piece (transparency vs. opacity, yin vs. yang, blue vs. red, etc.). Not only does the medium raise the bar, but so does the interpretation.

Juggertha and Tacky Tricky do indeed place close in my opinion. Nonetheless, great job everyone
