    Honestly, the redraw is prbably the same, but it doesnt bother me, persnoally. It's a really fun combo, and does a little bit of everything.

    I'd second this. One of my most fun toons has been my DP/Traps. Now that I've ran some of the Incarnate stuff with him, I remember why he was a fave.
  5. I'll start by saying, I'm not totally sure this is the right place for this post. If it isn't, I can repost where it belongs. I've just returned to the game about 3 days ago, following almost a year away. I've been trying to buy the Animal Pack, but I keep getting an error after confirming the purchase telling me to try back again later. Anyone else having this issue or is it a known problem? Thanks for any help

    It is very VERY durable, and still does...a lot of damage. And this is a 'durable' fire tank build, not a damage heavy one.
    I checked your guide Mauk. Very nice. Gonna keep the "Wall of Fire" in mind. I appreciate all the responses folks. Really, really looking forward to getting back to the game!

    Another option is a Fortunata. They have a good mix of control, buff, and damage. The Psy damage is a little light on the robots, but it helps a great deal if you're going for the badges in the Marauder fight.

    Fire/Fire Tanker huh? I thought FA was tricky, if not plain difficult, to softcap much or basically prevent "squishiness" (for a tank)

    Hey Local Man, I've actually read a lot of your posts. I do in fact have a LvL 50 Ill/Rad named Phantazmo. He was the quickest to 50 and one of the most fun toons I've played. He's not maxed out or anything, but he's is fun to play. Not long before I left for the desert, I "tanked" a STF with PA because our SD/BA tanker was getting one shotted by LR. Took several tries, and a lot of help from a Kin, but I pulled it off. I read somewhere that Ill/Rad was struggling with the Incarnate content....

    If you've got access, everyone loves when a VEAT is around. My personal favorite is the Crab. Mine is a AoE and defensive machine. And with all my pets out (not Lore pets yet) I can crank out some decent single target damage too.

    Yeah I got that impression, though I saw some players accomplishing some good stuff with their SS/FA toons, beyond just farming. I'm not a big farmer and I've always been a fan of DM. Probably save the SS stuff for a day when I'm feeling a little bored with my usual preferred sets. As far as the Crab goes, I've actually never rolled VEAT. At this rate, I'll have no choice but to play on a different server than I usually do, just to accomodate severe spontaneous altitis...

    Yeah, I will definitely give the Fire/Cold thing a shot. Probably gonna roll a couple others too, as I get 2 weeks off after I get home, I'll have time to play. Looking at a DM/FA Brute and maybe a Arch/TA Corr. I've been CoH Jones'n for quite a while and I've saved up a few names and concepts during what little off time I've had.

    I play on Liberty and Freedom, Residentx10, so I'll keep that in mind. Thanks much!
  15. Wanted, you're like a Fire/Cold salesman. I feel like coughing up a down payment! After reading you post, is it safe to assume Fire/Cold Corr's get some work done trying to solo AVs? Not really worried about it as much as I want a well rounded toon that does well in the new content, but that's alot of debuff...

    Yeah what little Ive read so far about the Incarnate content mentions the higher cap and I was kinda pleasantly surprised to hear it. With all the bad assery we can accomplish on our toons these days, it's nice to get some more challenging stuff to take on (Im guessing, lol)

    Good points on the Cold buffs. Pretty much everything I read about the Fire/Cold toon was it was a dps beast.

  19. Well I've been away from CoH, and most of the internet, for about 8 months now. Really looking forward to getting back into the game, and I'd like to roll a couple new toons upon my return. Seeing as I'm 2 Issues behind, I have a lot of catching up to do. I'm wondering, is there an AT that's begun to stand out in the new content, or power sets? I know everyone plays what they enjoy, I've always done the same, but I'd like to get any recommendations I can. The more reasoning behind why you have been playing your specific toon, the better. I've been reading up for the last couple days and I've seen some threads on Fire/Cold Corrs and Invul scrappers that have grabbed my attention...
