His examples on roleplaying are rubbish, and there's no basic provision for walking in Champions Online from what I've heard and seen. Walking is something that goes very well with Roleplayers.

    Oh, you can walk alright.

    Does it look good?

Which is why it may seem like the devs are holding back stuff for I15

You can winky away to your hearts content, but we have all heard the "great things coming" speech way too many times now to actually believe it

    I believe them

Also, I think people should think about the size of the current dev team - a 15 person team gave us Faultline and the RWZ - the team is now three times bigger, so either NCSoft have decided to generously help out with the unemployment situation in America, or these extra 30 or so added to the team are actually working on something pretty big

    [/ QUOTE ]

All well and good GG, but if the new 'big' content isn't in i15, I'll speculate that a large proportion of the playerbase will leave for CO.

The devs need to respond to the competition - it's as simple as that.

    Its all a nemesis plot

They got clever and attacked the servers :O
    We're all doomed!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Not everything is a Nemesis plot, some things are a Golden Girl Plan

    [/ QUOTE ]

None of my plans are really secret, and I'd never have one that'd damage the game

  9. I think it's taken them a while to clear the backlog of refunds because the pack was so popular - they must have had thousands after the store was stormed by booster-hungry mobs

Yeah, it's been left stagnent for a long time now. The Midnighters & Cimorororia was just a weird addition which made no real sense in terms of where the main story was going.

I would consider the Rikti War Zone a major story addition though, possiblely one of the most significant ever to hit CoH.

But then in the next issue rather than giving some sense of closure to it they came up with Wacky Adventures in Time which made little sense, and then Wacky Adventures in Sparta... I mean ancient Rome, which made even less sense to the ongoing story.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I have not posted for a long time or in fact played for a long time but I have to agree with all of this. This is a game about Super Heroes it's foundation lies in the comic book - I bet a pound to a penny that our developers haven't picked up a comic book in ages, because if they had they would realise that they were adrift in a sea of mediocrity. There is no consistency or coherence, their direction is just so random. Anyway, I say enough with the bells and whistles it’s now time to polish the symphony !!

    PS - RWZ 10/10 – Faultline 9/10 – The Hollows 8/10 – Cimorororia – nil points

    [/ QUOTE ]

Cimerora is there for a purpose - a very important one

    Oooh, and devs probably agree:
No point even trying to satisfy the customer base, they'll always want more no matter what NC puts into the game!

Oh, some might be ok with just animated hair though?

It would go a long way, yes

He WAS in the HoF. I have seen that myself. Then suddenly poof he is gone.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Are you suggesting people are hassling the HoF?
  13. [ QUOTE ]
This is many good thoughts. Is it worth sticking this in the feedback or suggestions forum?

In the meantime, we're stuck with the current search "meh"chanism for the time being. Any other suggestions out there for how to jury-rig to find stuff that is interesting/non-agricultural?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well, you can search for words that probably aren't used in farming missions - words like "investigate", "recover" and "prevent" can be used in mission descriptions, and it's unlikely a farm mission will have much of a misison description at all.
You could also enter the names of enemy groups that don't appeal so much to farmers, like Coralax or Clockwork.

Canon says that anything that happens inside MA is in a Virtual Reality, therefore it never really happened.
If it never really happened, it can never contradict canon.
If it can't contradict canon, it must be canon.
Ergo eveything in the MA is canon.

    [/ QUOTE ]
    I love this guy...

Anyway, I really hope the overwhelming farming fad dies down as it was suggested it might. There's almost no such thing as "normal" teams and it's increasingly difficult to find members to join you on storyarcs which aren't farming related.

I wonder if things are any different on Defiant...?

In general, Defiant is always better - for everything

    I would disagree.

Nothing in MA is game canon - except inside the writers head.

The fact that is set within a virtual reality environment surely precludes anything in MA from being game canon?

Well, just cut down on the furries in your arcs then
  19. An awesome new system for the game

SInce I14 went live, I've mostly been collecting the new badges, but I did quite a lot of mission stuff when it was in closed and open beta, and I think it's an extremely easy thing to use - I especially like the way you can see a list of errors, and then click them to take you to the parts that need fixing.

The only things I think could do with a bit of work is the search function, which seems to be a bit vague, and the ability to place items and bosses anywhere, rather than just the front/middle/back we have right now.

Also, map editing would be great, but I know it's really tough to do

It is premature to start worrying about the fact that the Mission Architect means no more content.

MMOs are trending up towards user generated content and this was just as good a time to introduce the MA as any. All the policing will be done by our Customer Support team, not our developers. Our dev team will still have time to work on more great content.

As for announcing the Paragon Studios, it means that we are more than ever committed to developing City of Heroes and introducing new zones and new content.

The soon™ has been overused but we will be announcing a lot of very cool stuff in the next couple of months.

How about a few little hints to make up for the store problems?

I've gotten five emails all saying my ticket been escalated in support, how frigging large is their support heirarchy?

I think they have to wait for the support super leader to look at them first.
