Ah, the MMO of choice. My casual fling that turned into five years of gaming.
Lets hope that you have more surprises like City of Villains up your sleeve...
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, yoiu're getting a new, Villain-only TF in I15, so evil is getting some attention
-
I asked loads of questions, none of them PvP related - and only got answers on like 3 or 4 of them - it just wasn't possible for him to answer everyone, and he did actually say that he wans't going to be answerring anymore PvP ones.

We totally need deserts and jungles - we have lots of urban zones, but not many non-urban ones.
[/ QUOTE ]
But what would you do in a jungle zone? City zones work because they are city zones: there are shops, and universities and base portals and trainers and police stations and warehouses and office buildings and alleyways where crime can take place.
A jungle zone would be a great place to set a mission arc or a task-force, but then what? What would be the point of having it as a zone?
[/ QUOTE ]
The same reason as other zones - for mission arcs and a TF.
Think 20s and 30s pulp - lost citites, exotic mysteries and Tarzan type stuff.
A jungle zone is no different than a moon zone - both would take us from the city to a remote environment to combat some new threat, and the zone history would be revealed through story arcs and a TF.
And as for deserts - think Egypt and pyramids - you know it makes sense
-
As there is a smaller Euro playerbase, it may make an events section less active - plus, there are also the server areas to announce stuff on

It was odd, Posi seems adamant that a zone revamp would be a waste of time compared to new zones, whereas almost all the players in the crowd would have rather seen Dark Astoria get a revamp...was a real clash of dev opinion vs player opinon...
[/ QUOTE ]
On one hand I can understand it, because the city scope of the two games does make things a little limited. It would be nice to be able to fight evil in lush jungle settings or burning deserts or aboard a derelict spaceship or ... well, exotic, weird places.
Still, with the current structures and mechanisms of the game, I think it would be better to implement such "flights of fancy" as mission arcs and appropriate outdoor maps -- we could do with some more exotic locales to set MA missions in anyway -- rather than something to replace the "day to day" zones.

Kind of makes you feel for the PvP'ers, doesn't it?
[/ QUOTE ]
You mean the ones in PD that he just blanked after a bit?
[/ QUOTE ]
He didn't ignore them - he told them he wanted to avoid an international incident

And a few other ideas by the sound of it. She was great =]
[/ QUOTE ]
She was great. But you know what? I got a distinct vibe from Posi that was "I'm done with this, let's wheel out the Canadian, they all love her."
He responded to some questions, but ignored any that seemed even vaguely difficult except the PVP questions because he was pressed repeatedly on them. To the question "What is so difficult about touching base wtih the EU from time to time" his reply was simply "I'm here now aren't I?" If he replied to my point that was once in 3 years I didn't hear it.
I overwhelmingly got the impression that Posi thinks it's their game, they know what's best and sod the paying customer.
[/ QUOTE ]
I didn't get that impressions at all - he wasn't able to answer every question, because in the time it took him to type a reply, there were like 5 new questions. -

when is posi or who ever going to talk to us? eu time wise?
[/ QUOTE ]
You mean this one?
[/ QUOTE ]
Surely that isn't the Posi address?
Isn't it meant to be ingame, around 01:00 GMT with 'Big News' for us?
[/ QUOTE ]
It's an interview, not an address
EDIT: And I'm pretty sure he never mentioned "big news" - just "fun"

Your 'in response to noone in particular' would have been me asking him about Power customisation thank you RPGguy :P
[/ QUOTE ]
Hahah yes, sorry, I missed a few names here and there (the log files are hard to read)
[/ QUOTE ]
And the text was going past pretty fast - there were some big gaps between the questions and the answers
-
War Witch said she'd tell Jay animated hair was requested

Well first thing I heard Posi say when I logged into test was:
04-28-2009 17:38:37 [Local] Positron: We'll be dealing with the farmers, harshly.

He looks a little Orc-ish

If I15 is a birthday extra "prequel" to I16, with I16 due in a couple of months being the big thing they have promised I think that would be good and would be quite happy with that.
[/ QUOTE ]
Strangely, that'd make I16 go live around the time CO comes out
-
Positron says they're doing some designs for I20 right now
-
[ QUOTE ]
Still can't logon on my main account, according to the email I can, do I have to wait till i15?
[/ QUOTE ]
No - you should be able to log on right away - as long as you've paid for at least a month
And welcome to the forum

Positron's talking quite freely in the Test D right now - come on over and ask him
-
Positron's still in Pocket D, but War Witch has gone to get tea

My brand-new new Level 4 toon has now got the proof of a defeat of Lord Recluse, Sirocco, a Kronos Titan and a Winterlord, among other things including Rikti.

You need to keep it at level 4 forever - use it as an avatar to intimidate people in PvP

the little announcement about Issue 15 hasn't grabbed me enough to say 'Stop playing WoW'.
[/ QUOTE ]
Your self respect should have done that ages ago

This looks really good - and I love the way it seems that the 2 new TF stories are tied together - the Villains' SF starts out with stealing info, and Heroes' one starts out with trying to find the stolen info, with both leading to an encounter with the 5th Column.
