They could be a reformed gang leader, with a few of their minions who decided to follow their leader onto the right side of the law.

Another example of it being alternative rather than mirror is the Devouring Earth - they have exactly the same motivations on Praetoria, only they seem to have been way more successful than on Primal Earth.

The only time they've been mentioned was in an article about I17, and the "nefarious new enemy" that will match us "blow for blow" - so some kind of doppelganger does seem to be suggested by that, as well as the title "Dark Mirror".

Quote:They're not going toI'm not asking that it not turn the Heroes evil to work for Tyrant, or that too would defeat the purpose of the expansion, but at least don't start off the side switching arcs with burning down kindergartens.

The main writer for Praetoria said it's done as a snowball effect, getting you do more and more questionable things, until you feel uncomfotable with what you're being asked to do in the name of peace and security. -

Quote:Like Superman? The entire Freedom Phalanx desperately need make overs. They are the "face" of the game to newcomers because they're splashed all over the boxes, ads, anything in marketing uses the Freedom Phalanx in some way or another. Their costumes all look old, dated, they're just "generic heroes".

Just call them TT, for Tyrant's Thugs.

Quote:It might be very useful for dealing with something that's not in the game - yetJust found this at ParagonWiki: "Activating this power shifts you into a semi-real shadow-state. So long as you are not attacked and remain motionless, you will have extremely good stealth rating and be nearly invisible. This power has a long, interruptible cast time and always takes 10 minutes to recharge."
Huh? An interruptable stealth power that means you can't attack or even move? So you have to not have any agro before using it and once you do you can't move. So it's good for when you're waiting around for patrols that you already know are coming towards you but don't have time to get behind a corner but do have time to deal with the "long interrupt"? Not nearly so drooly any more. Now I'm just more confused. Sounds more like the vet-pets in usefulness than, say, Mystic Fortune. I was hoping for something closer to the middle.

Quote:But is someone like, say, Doctor Aeon really that strong, or is he just the best at what he does? The Rogue Isles don't really have a similar government structure to Praetoria. Praetoria is a meritocracy - the best in each field holds power in the field. The Rogue Isles is social darwinism - the strongest hold the power.
And is someone like Westin Phipps even superpowered at all?
