Quote:You can't win, GG. If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine...and nice rack.
Don't be too proud of that Neandethal leer you've perfected. The abilaity to act like a caveman is insignificant next to the power of a smack in the face

Quote:Dress up as your forum avatar, and tell them Donald Duck doesn't wear pants, and neither do you.Devs, you need to choose a better place to host meet and greets. WTF at this 5th rate place not allowing sweatpants. You could have told us way ahead of time they don't allow most types of clothing! I'm going to just go in my sweatpants, then strip naked when they confront me.
If they still won't play ball, tell them Howard the Duck doesn't wear pants either, and offer to show them a movie to prove it - you'll get in for sure. -

As an example, there have been some I17 leaks because of the Blessing of the Zephyr changes, so if the closed beta was really full of people who thought the devs couldn't do anything wrong, then those leaks wouldn't have happened - the 100% fangurl/fanboi beta crew would either be in denial over the nerf, or trying to explain it away.

Quote:But wouldn't that be one of the main reasons governments would help out heroes, to make sure that they weren't put under so much stress that they'd snap? You may disagree with me, but with all the crap someone would have to go through, whether with a secret identity or not. If they had super Powers, I actually think there would end up being many more super Villains then Super Heroes.
After so much crap, a Hero might eventually give up, or turn to some other path. With great power, comes great responsibility and all that jazz. One to many times though, it's been shown that once a single individual gains so much power, it tends to go to their heads.
So I think Villains would outnumber the Heroes at the least. -

I've gotten all the extra stuff so far, so even though I only ever use like 10% of it, I'd still get anything CoH related

While the coming storm storyline seems like it could be tied to the Shadow Shard, the fact that the Menders and the whole Ouroboros thing are tied up with time travel makes me think that whatever the coming storm involves will feature us either going forwards or backwards in time, so it's hard to see how the current Shadow Shard would be needed for that.

I have fly and ss, but I still like to just wander around and look at things - especially now that we've gotten walk - you can like just take a stroll from one end of Steel Canyon to the other

Quote:There could be some good news though from the story clues they've dropped into the game - while the "Atlantis? Really?" quote from the ITF seems like it'd be very hard to tie in with an existing zone, the 5th Column boasting to the Council during their street fights that they have a base "right in the heart of the city" could be tied into a Boomtown revamp.Eh, if they gave vills access to the Shard, it would functionally act as a new zone.
I know Boomtown is in the north of the city rather than the heart, but compared to Striga, it's still petty central
-
War Witch has already kinda hinted that they still view new zones as more important than zone revamps, so I think that unless any of the current empty zones fit with the storylines they're already working on, then I don't think we'll see many revamps.
-
In the same way they spun DP off GR, I think they can probably spin DS off the I17 beta, so even if there were any delays with ultra mode, DS would still be ready to go live.

Quote:That's not the way they pick closed beta players - some will be chosen on purpose, but the rest will just be random, or based on something like the loyalty program ideaYou're welcome. I hope you are doing the community a favor and contributing your criticisms during closed-betas to additions that deserve criticism. Instead of praising the devs for everything they do in order to get into the next closed-beta.

Quote:I think they'd be more sensible to spread out the fixes over several Issues, to leave room for content and other more marketable things.Ok, I know a lot of people get mad over a "nerf" that changes their characters build...no matter how small this "nerf" is.
So, I'm suggesting that they get the nerfing over with and dedicate a whole issue to balancing this game.
Then, players will never have to worry about the efficiency of their build being changed by outside factors.
I think this would be a great idea.
What do you all think? -
Quote:I think they're very much focused on GR right now, so it might be hard to get them to turn their attention any place else until after July.Heh.. Yea.
Only from where I come from... we came with longboats, axes and mead (Taking land, living there, settling down there and become part of the place, establishing fair traderoutes and yes... occationally pillaging.)
But it is a little irony Leif. However in this game, its bad custom service.
The Devs do everything and they go that extra mile, but those people with the authority and power of decision still remain hidden....
In their dark room, around a table there are seated X men and woman. They hold the games future and specially custom service, server power and marketing in their hands. One of them sits at the end of the table, even his or is it her's subordinates cannot see this person. On its lap there is the white cat...
and the rest you know
Come on Mr. X, talk to us. I promise we wont bite (much)... Just joking, we just want a little news and hopefully that the little white light that was at the end of the tunnel (and which War Witch brought) is rays of sunlight...
and not a heavy train transport that cannot stop before it runs us over.
Although, if there's any server list merge being planned for the GR launch, then you'll probably hear about it soon-ish. -

I think the map solution could be to maybe mark out the tunnels as thin red lines on the normal zone map.
-
I'd like the Troll Tunnels to be made into part of the Hollows - like the Faultline tunnels, but going under the whole zone.
And the same with the sewers - make the normal sewers into a tunnel-style network under each zone, but not joining together, and keep the Abandoned Sewer Network as the city-wide linking zone.
