Quote:I'd vote for Sexy Jay to do that - as long as all the mission text and NPC text was written in the style of his forum posts. What if one developer put in a few hours a week to Boomtown? Maybe every patch release one or two buildings change, maybe some construction sites move, etc. Something to show progress rather than this big bombed-out landscape with buildings that have been on fire for 6 years?

I think quite a few people will go gray at first, just to see what sort of benefits it has.
-
It isn't - anyone between 20 to 50 can switch sides - but I think 50s are more important for this poll because pre-50s will still have normal levels left, so lack of endgame content isn't so important for them.

I've soloed the Vanguard arc - and I'm a pretty squishy Scrapper

There was - they said it at Hero Con on the same day that ultra mode was offically shown for the first time.

Quote:The side switching will keep a lot of 50s busyWhen CoH and CoV was released, the endgame was added later, sure. But when GR comes out, we aren't leveling to 40 while we wait. Most people have 50s already, so unless that first incarnate level will take months to achieve, then there is a difference.

Also, the focus of GR has always been Praetoria and side switching - ultra mode was just an added bonus.

Quote:Vanguard's "by any means" approach to fighting the Rikti does make them Vigilantes - but Lady Grey seems like a sensible person, even if her name implies less than clear moralityAh, but they can't be Vigilante's, their a UN organisation that's at war with the Rikti Restructurists, who conveniently want to absorb/wipeout humanity.
The Rikti are using the Lost to bolster their ranks. It seems reasonable that VG use heroes and villains to suplement their own, neh?

Quote:I seem to remember them saying at Hero-Con that I17 would release in April and GR in July, so I'm not seeing any delays just yet.

Issue 17 wasn't scheduled at all when Hero Con was on - all the devs said was that I16 was the final Issue before GR came out, but that there might be a pre-GR Issue if they completed the ultra mode work ahead of schedule. -
It's the full price - $29.95 will get you access to Praetoria, the side switching system, the new power sets and the Incarnate endgame system in I19, as well as an invite to one of the waves of GR beta testing.

Quote:Well, it has been pushed back to July, so that's 3rd quarter - but maybe by only a few days.1: The Going Rogue info that was presented at Hero Con 2009 that you love to refer to listed GR's scheduled release as the second quarter of 2010. Tomorrow, April 1, is the first day of the second quarter of 2010. They are right on schedule.
2: What setbacks? What delays?
