Quote:Desdemona seems to be getting more involved with the major signature characters now - she features on the new Trial in I21, and she's used as the example of a pet summoner in the revamped costume creator. All this speculation leads me to another question I've had rattling around for a while: if one of the Phalanxers dies or retires, would his/her sidekick be promoted from the "sidekick" Vindicators into the "big league" Freedom Phalanx and thus take over as the task force contact? The vibe I got from the comics is that most (if not all) of the Vindicators are quite content with their team as it as, and anyone moving from the Vindies to the Phalanx would probably NOT be by her/his choice.

There was a leaked video of the hover board in action a few days ago - it looked good.

Quote:I would mindI can't think of anyone that would dislike it if Statesman were the one under the gun.

That's because he's in the cut cutscene - he goes to confront Tyrant, but is defeated - but it was dropped before the TF went live.Quote:And we DO have some foreshadowing of this.
Statesman is pretty much the ONLY signature hero not in the huge 'Portal Guarding Group' in the Tin Mage MK II TF's final mission. Everyone else is there, EVERYONE.
No Statesman. -

Quote:Don't forget that the story is going to be told from the both sides - each month there will be a hero arc and a villain arc, each one telling the same story - so it's quite possible that the final part will see red side players invovled in killing the one who dies. Here's an evil idea; In Going Rogue we have missions where the decisions we make govern which contact disappears from the world for our character. What if they use that tech in the signature arc?
"Very well, <Player>, you can save Manticore, or you can save Sister Psyche. One will die, and you will choose. But know that I, Protean, will be victorious no matter how you choose. Of course, if you fail to choose swiftly, both will die. Bwahahahaa...."
Not that they'd be that evil... -

Recluse's Victory isn't getting the Atlas upgrade, but other mission maps that use Atlas Park will get it.

They confirmed in the UStream braodcast today that the voiceovers are only for the tutorial and for things like the pop help system - nothing is planned for normal mission content.

I think they'll kill off Manticore, so Numitron can replace Psycore as the CoH super-couple

I'm expecting some ambush action in the revamped blue and red lower level content in I21

There's a full version of the new Atlas music looped at the start of the UStream broadcast today: http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/16273921

Just an update from the UStream today - the echo zone in Ouroboros will not have any of the old Galaxy City mission content in it - the contacts will all be removed form it.

I like the way the new sewer Trial is going to be a kind of tutorial for the whole CoH Trial system - it gets players used to the mechanics of them, ready for the Incarnate ones.

Here's the "cover" for the first arc:

And here's a screenshot from one of the maps, which looks like it's in the Hollows, going by the background:

The pillar has spikes/thorns at the bases, so the CoT could be invovled.
