  1. Oops, I never did try again later >.> ... oh well, here's the next batch!

I've now come to November 2006, Winter Memorabilia in Birmingham.
Draw The World Together was there again, and... well... here's the results!

    First up, the Grav Mistress

Same character in civvies... or should I say, Gala?

Mike Collins was there too, he did this for me:

Andrew did do an other character of mine too, Tower of Power, my tanker!

I didn't only get art from professional comic artists, I also recieved a special piece from a very talented friend of mine.
Check out his devArt page here
  2. Oooh nice
Great gift to surprise him with!

    Some points of comment, though.
On the chest emblem, I'd have chosen a less bright blue to indicate light glare, unlike the suit it doesn't have much to blend with and it looks a bit out of place/faded to me.
I love how the throwing knife catches the light and causes a glowy reflection.
I think that where the torso meets the belt and goes on into the lower body, his back seems a bit dislocated, a tad too far to the right (his left). I could be wrong though, the belt pouches does distract a bit. When zoomed in, there's a slight line above the pouch, that and the shadow fade negate the point I just made
Nice subtle (but still there) bulge there, he'd probably look odd if it was totally absent

Great piece, good anatomy, consistent lighting, good colours and I like the backdrop!
  3. Very nice finished piece
*gratzes Bobby and CR both with it*

I do agree with Suichiro, and add to it that the left cheek (our right) looks to be too low on the face too.

You NEVER have to apologize for not posting for a while (well, maybe if you promissed..)
Post when you want and can. You don't have an obligation to post.
We'll miss your art if you stop posting, though

And, since you're commissioning me, I just decided to do a headshot for this. At least it's good practice for the commission I will be doing! Suichiro:

I love the expressions on both
Jophiel looks like she's having a ball like she's playing beach volley on a sunny day or something. Though that does make me wonder what she's doing.... if it's a fight or not.
Suichiro is.. well, just looking rather mischievous, I half expect a building to explode in the background or something!

I think, from now on, I'll just be doing stuff like the above, except with background colors and such. It's getting to be too much work for me to do the more complex ones. What's the point of offering them as commissions if y'all can just get them for free? I hope that's not a problem! Don't hate me!
I would have hoped that the people here would have helped you get over 'harsh expectations' that other places put on artists (do they? I only know this one... but it looks that way)
It's only fair that freebees will be less work than paid commissions!

    Non-CoH...
Someone on DA told me that I should do a zombie ninja. So I did! I actually quite like him, but I'm still trying to think of a good name.
    Non-CoH?

    Hmmmm...

I don't know, looks fairly CoH-y to me!

If you want to grab them, here's theleft version and right version, the lower body use the Samurai set from veteran rewards, and the left one uses the Valkyrie belt.

I prefer such relatives to be nearer instead of very distant.
They're always nice company, great in conversation too.

    My Collection!

    Nice collection of pieces, Ed
  7. Ghost

    Scarlet Doc

    Nice sketch, love the face
I'm also looking forward to seeing how some colour and shading will make the chest star part of the hole instead of a worn dinner plate
  8. Bewbies tend to run in the family, though... admittedly mostly on the XX-chromosome persons.
  9. I have to say this, though it's been said before and people will say it again.

    AWESOME!

I'm not claiming credit for them in any way, I just paid for (most) of them!

Here's the next one by Andrew Wildman as well
For some reason I can't bring up the image on here, I just get a blank image. I'll try again later.

What language is that...it's like a weird conglomeration of Dutch and German.

Something about already being one of us and it's a good it's over the internet, Maybe.

    No fair using slang either.
I told you I'd go foreign on your behind, is that foreign enough for you?

Then comes the German ...and I don't speak German very well.. but .. letterly it means...
"Otherwise I will have to talk to you from behind" <-- I think...??
Followed by: "And you don't want that, do you?"

So nothing to worry about Skootertwo
Right you are, and the German was chosen because it sounded funny

critques are welcome tips would be even better.
It does loose most of it's perspective, but it's not quite flat thanks to the already great angling of the arrow.
It's the shading that adds depth to your sketch, so that's what's missing, shading. Well, the punched up target does add to it...
All you need now is a good colouring tutorial.... (preferably of Paint.NET so I can use it too >.> what?)
  13. Time for an other addition to my online collection.

This little piece was done back in '05
Andrew Wildman was at a EU CoH player meet as part of the started collaboration between NCSoft_EU and Draw The World Together that was a great success, only increasing with the years.
I have a fair few of these to upload, but my scanner's being a pain...

Anyway, here's the lovely... Djini Jess!

  14. Ghost

    Buy This

    Interesting...
    You're on!
  15. Oooh nice!
I love the eyes... can someone give me her number? >.>
  16. Ghost

    Xllusya

    Looking good, again.
Can't you screw up just ones to make it more interesting? (only kidding!)
  17. Ghost

    Draggynn

Hmm, is this a guessing game, a 'fill in the blanks' game?

let's see how long before the obvious word is given and how long we can keep it board friendly?

    Hmmm...
    hope you hug him

    D.r.a.t. #3

Ooooh, well.. how can one resist?

I'll offer up Dance Flash for a pairing with Grey Huntress

Since Dance Flash might look the stereo typical hero and often act like it, she has little regard for those that choose to get on the wrong end of Justice! (just the easiest way to say it) and would have no issues with Grey Huntress.

    Artist's text information
    Heroic costume
    The alternative

I must say, this is a nice initiative and a great idea!
  19. oooh nice... she really gives off a "do I have to stand like this? get it over with" fibe there
  20. Ghost

    Alouette

    Ooh, very lovely
    Great pose!
  21. I quite like it, great composition!
  22. Thanks
I'm well pleased with them (as I keep saying? well, it's true!)

There's an other piece I'd like to share in this thread. It's already somewhere else on these boards (an older thread, though), but I'll put it here as well.

Here are Ellie 'Tiger White' Stoneberg and Jessica 'Grav Mistress' Stoneberg in civvies.

It's done by the one, the only DarthDelicious!
Give her a round of applause!
  23. I warned you, didn't I...?

    Thanks
    BattleWraith really made it happen!

And.. well, EddySwan also did a great piece of work!

I find it rather nice and sexy but not provocative, I like it
  24. Great piece
I do love the expressions, makes it clear it's a friendly scrap.
    (and does she look smug!)
  25. Ghost

    Anatolia

    Nice one!
loving the pose and composition even though I know nothing of the character.
Just the goggles don't seem wide enough to actually fit comfortable...
