I like the idea of getting the auras as early access items as a vet reward.
I also like the idea of placing at least the first level of travel powers into character creation, as opposed to earning them. If you made levitate, combat jumping, super speed and even teleportation available in the creation cycle you are not really altering combat mechanics or offering unfair advantages. Especially since "Ninja Run" already acts like a travel power and is available extremely early on. -
Quote:So many names in so many places with so few faces to attach anything too!Hey, yanno, the guy who started http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=129105 IS the director for the DC*MMO Track!
I thought Brick was our panel moderator. Howdy! Anyway, I still advocate the idea of writing to Dragon*Con staff because Dragon*Con is a separate entity from COH and the emails that go there are more appropriate to be shown to the powers that be when fighting for our cause. We want the folks in Atlanta to know we appreciate their blood sweat and tears and we shouldn't make them have to hunt for kudos here in COH forums.
And sometimes it just about that - saying thank you - whether or not anything comes of it. If you had a good time and appreciate it then say so. If you didn't have a good time there is no way any one can know to fix it if you don't tell them politely. -
Howdy!
I was the guy at the front of the room wearing the top hat and long coat with my SG Gears symbol on my lapel.
My suggestion is for everyone on this thread is to contact the director of the MMORPG track at Dragon*Con and let that person know you support the idea of more COH programming.
There has been the suggestion of a costume contest and/or a "Super Heroes Masked Ball." If you like that idea, send the track director email so they can in turn show it to their higher powers and work on getting something scheduled.
By presenting definate obtainable ideas of what we would like to see, we can help the folks at Dragon*Con create events that we want to be at.

and oh yeah, there is another thread about this over at:

Hmmm, since we now have recon officers with zone reports, we could drop a new class of contacts (for sake of argument call them "The Underground,") who perform the same function. No additional zone, no backstory (until the Devs want to reveal it) just click the person and take your chances on a one-off instanced Strike Force.
How does that sound? -
In just about every zone there are those phones on a box where in certain missions you run about and click on them "patroling" for certain bad guys.
How about if, when you click the box, you are randomly assigned a radio mission (or Dev's choice AE mission since these grant XP) as a task force?
This could spawn in-zone, level appropriate door missions without having to create much at all in the way of new code or resources. Since the Dev's would be in charge of the tables behind the mission assignments you could weed out any missions you felt were too over the top. -
Hey guys I wanted to say Howdy again and thank you to everyone from my home server who showed up at the Dragon*Con panel. You're a great bunch and if we can get organized maybe we can push this Con forward so that NC Soft/Paragon shows us a little more love in the future.
