I let my ProtBots handle it. Since the /Dark heal is AoE centered on the target, the other option is to occasionally drag the AV over to the petpile, toss a heal, and drag him back. But you have to time it around Taunts and around the AV's AoE attacks (if any).
I still suggest ProtBots, and only try this drastic measure when absolutely necessary. -
1) Nope, you don't. I did it and am doing it with level 35-40 common IO's.
2) Bodyguard mode. Use Defensive/Follow, and then use Goto to park your pets a good distance away from where you plan to tank the AV.
3) You are everything but DPS. Let your pets kill the guy. You are strictly about keeping its attention and piling on debuffs. Taunt takes highest priority, though. Don't let taunt drop, or the AV might wander to your petpile and one-shot something, and then things may start to go pear-shaped.
3b) Also, hopefully you have the Goto command bound to a key, because bots like to wander up into melee range every once in a while. Just keep telling them to go back to the corner anytime someone starts to stray.
3c) And if you do lose a pet, don't panic. Just resummon ASAP. If you have the chance, go ahead and re-upgrade, but most important is getting the pet back up so soak some damage for you.
Good luck! -

Whatever it is I just hope we finally get some female pets. How sexy it is to have it so only men can be minions.

Just have to pick gender-neutral names. Alex, Ashley, Hortense, etc...
Also, I think demon-summoning is kind of the obvious missing MM set. Which doesn't make it imaginative and compelling, but I can see why they would want to plug that obvious gap.
I would have preferred something cheeky and weird, but cheeky and weird and 500 MM's running around with that powerset... ruins the effect.
I'm curious, on an abstract level, what the Demon set specialty would be. -

Yup. And the first part of "The Sound and the Fury" was written from inside the mind of a man with mental retardation. Can you think of a more constrained space within which to write? Not that that was any good...

Harder to get parked toons than I thought it would be. :/
But I'magonna try it. We'll see.

In addition to difficulty settings we need a slider for spawn size.

Oh God, this would be great, but not for farming. Just for fun's standpoint. I mean, "Relentless" is not relentless at all. It totally relents. -
This guide has been my hand-hold through the early levels of my Fire/Ice tanker. I'm pushing 30, now, and I just want to take a moment and thank you for all the advice that has saved me from numerous frustrations. My free respec? Everyone I know couldn't spend it fast enough, but me? Nah, I think I'll save it.
That said, I now have a question (for you wizened old Fire/Icers).
Is there a benefit to 1) grabbing the Concealment pool, and 2) 6-slotting Combat Jumping and Stealth for the Defense Buffs?
At level 29, I had 2 enhancement slots. One went to filling out Stamina with 6 slots. The other... well, I had Blaze Aura, Burn, Fire Shield, Plasma Shield, and Stamina all 6'd. I so rarely use my Consume... I guess I could slot my Healing Flames (currently at 2)...
But I got to thinking: My pools will be:
Jumping
Fitness
Fighting
I could go the traditional route and pickup Speed... But, to be honest, I don't need Hasten. So if I 6-slot Weave, Combat Jumping, and Stealth for Defense, how high can I push my Defense bonus? And will Stealth really get in the way of my aggro (even with 2 Taunt SO's on my Blaze Aura? Even with 3?)... This has the added benefit of the utility of Stealth (to breeze glowey missions when needed) as a trade-off for Hasten...
Any Fire/Ice tankers played with this? Thanks for any advice.
