Anyone notice getting periodically rooted while doing a corruptor/defender self heal? Seemed like I was having a difficult time evading people in zone yesterday. At first I thought lag or just plain sucking on my part, but then I noticed that sometimes when I fired off the aoe self heal that I was stuck in place for the duration.

I talked to a couple other people who said they noticed the something happening periodically. But it's not constant. Bug? Another message from Castle letting us know how much they hate buffers/healers? Thoughts?

Whattup bro! Yeah Love Tap....she was the highlight of my ill-fated run on Justice server. Kind of wish I'd coughed up the money to move her to Freedom, but eventually everything good about the character got nerfed anyway. Good to see ya!

I think very few people like to write stuff like that, but in life situations arise where you need to do it. I received a university scholarship once that stipulated I would not be required to teach as a graduate assistant. So I went there, and second semester I received a schedule of my teaching duties. Turns out they didn't define being a "teaching assistant" as having teaching duties.

I had to raise hell for about a month, but eventually I got them to back down. The sad thing is, there were recipients of that same scholarship in almost every department that were just going along with it because they were reluctant to fight their department heads. I wonder how many other people have paid for work from this artist and are still waiting.

If it becomes evident that the artist is not going to continue, and the sketch you have on hand is exactly what you want just not finished, I'm willing to finish rendering it for you. It would be a digital file, so you'd have to get it printed yourself.

I think the book will be around 100 pages. It depends on how quickly people want it in their hands. I also have some issues to work out relating to content. One virtue of doing it as a downloadable pdf (or series of pdfs, might have to do chapters) is that I can do editions. There will likely be an initial edition that everyone who ordered will receive. Then subsequent editions based on how much I hate what I did in the initial edition as well as content that I didn't feel would be apropriate for the first one.

I'm glad you like it! It's a cute character, with a very bold, bright color scheme so I thought I'd do a more stylized, graphic-style treatment for that picture (which isn't that well expressed atm be will be later).

If your looking for something with decent features that's cheap, you might want to check out artrage. It's got some good functionality. It's main drawback is a lack of scaling/transformation tools, but if you can survive that it's pretty good.

First off, lemme say that when I posted in TA's thread I was still on vacation and had just downed a bottle of wine. So it maybe should have been sent via pm..I dunno. Sometimes I think it's worth it to throw comments like that out there in front of the community to see how people respond and get a sense of where the current community stands. Sorry if it rubbed anyone the wrong way.

I think the point I was making about lead loss is being misconstrued. I certainly don't think that people here should feel obligated to buy art from the "locals" just because they are active on the forums and maybe have given away free stuff.

My issue had more to do with advertising. This forum is not a public space in the way deviant art is. You have to have an active account to post here. And the people using the forums to share and promote their art here are an active part of this community.

Now let's use Foo's sale as an example. "Hey guys, check it out--my car died so I'm having a sale." What if I went on DA and found someone with a similar style, holding a similar sale because they broke their leg and came back and advertised it here ? I personally don't think that's an upstanding thing to do another member of this community. That's how I personally feel about the deal thread. I'm completely fine with people not agreeing with me, but I felt I should throw it out there.

Maybe that was the person that gave me negative rep for titling this thread "buy this."
I thought it was funny given the spate of sale threads that had taken place recently, but they thought it was a bit "off" for this forum, although they approved of the idea.

Lol well I hate to derail my own art thread but I can't get over this. One of the people "bombing" me has been leaving messages. One said "always negative, always complaining." For this thread, which is basically about the book, they write "you lost rep for a reason--you're too negative. How about encouraging people for once?"

They knocked me down on this thread leaving that comment. If that person is reading this--seriously, grow up and pm me if you have an issue with me on the forums.

Someone asked me what was going on with my rep while I was away. Apparently some people from Protector decided to rep bomb me over the weekend. I checked in over the weekend and it was flattened, but has slowly risen back since then. If you've given me positive rep, thanks for the support.
