I like to pvp, and I know a couple from the sg like to pvp. I've only done arena a couple of times, but I just like to fight to be honest. If anyone needs me in a pvp team then @Frazzle.d and I'll see what I can do, I change my mind often, or forget

I think the idea of Sirens is for the battles to take place
at the hot spots. Thats how I envisioned it and I presume the
devs did also. The drones where to stop the sad cases from
killing you as soon as you step outside the hospital.
Hopefully with the new I7 PvP zone, there will be more to it
than just kill the other faction. It seems to involve entire
map tactics. It might even take the coordination like that
from a hami raid to successfully own the zone. But hopefully
it wont be that hard.
So basically, if the player is TPing you from your hospital
then the blame and anger can be directed at the map developer.
Id really like it if they increased the XP people get from killing
mobs in sirens call.
[/ QUOTE ]
I find the hotspots up the lag way too much - fighting other players like that becomes too much of a lottery.
[/ QUOTE ]
Agreed. Foosburg for some reason just continually freezes and the battles just repeat themselves, only good thing about them really is being able to avoid them. If it wasn't so damn choppy I'd be fighting there too.
edit: Fentor, if you're above the lvl cap (level 30 for sirens) then you get no xp for fighting the npcs. Just wads of cash, or you get rid of some debt (at the risk of getting a lot more).
Same applies to TFs, SFs and the other pvp zones if you're above the level cap. -
That's nice electrical effects, without Photoshopping it a little.
-
On that note, I'm off to play in Siren's all day.
-
Because I want to see Stalkers writhe in agony in an intricate cage of sparking electrical energy.
-
Because everyone has Air Sup and Fly or Superjump deary.
-
I don't hate stalkers, they try to tickle me...
...with ninja blades...
...and...things... -
[ QUOTE ]
Jump kick? *shudders*
Just...don't...
[/ QUOTE ]
It's surprisingly useful.
Someone has to use it, or else Air Sup will be nerfed. In fact... -
Meh.
If 'base camping' (lol) is occurring, then give me a shout. Gather everyone there is, get a few temp powers from the merchant.
If you don't have the temp store, then grab a few to hang with so you can win a few fights on the hotspots. If they're staying in one area they won't notice you, unless they're tracking bounty.
If you think it's bad in Siren's have a look at the Web entrance! Straight flight from the hero's safe zone, blatently obvious spot ideal for any team to just wait for someone to come back up from below and slaughter them. Is this a deliberate design? -

Given that AS is becoming so ineffective as you level, can people see the Devs making them a bit hardier and more scrapper like in normal combat to allow them to actually follow up AS and attempt kills as it becomes less useful?
[/ QUOTE ]
Pick more defence powers and slot them. If you want to make a scrapper stalker, it's perfectly achieveable. Hell, try doing it without AS. You'll still do criticals from hidden and while your opponent is held or immobilized - which is more than a scrapper has. You might not be as 'hard' as a scrapper but you certainly kill a lot faster in melee. -

Oh well, at least people arent complaining about stalkers for once. I dont see why people get there knickers in a twist over tp foe. Its a perfectly valid strategy for thinning out a large group of opponents bunched together and for grabbing an elusive player. There are also effective counter strategies and the accuracy seems pretty low anyway (actually, its probably about right). TPing in and out of bases depends on whether the devs want bases to be 100% safe zones, sticking an inpenitrable pff on someone when they are near the drones so they cant attack or be attacked would give us a safe zone. I like things the way they are just now, you can be port in/out, get attacked in your base, get sniped porting someone in, whats not fun with that? Possibly the only thing i'd change is make the hospital a 100% safe zone and remove players in base from the bounty system ie. they wont appear as anyone's bounty till they leave there base. The idea of making purple inspirations defend from tp foe is a good one as well, although i think he was maybe taking the mikey with it :P
[/ QUOTE ]
so tp'ing out of a base which is stated as a safe zone is, in your opinion, perfectly valid?!?!.................WTH >.>
its about as valid as making a perma nuke that removes 100% hp all the time >.<
[/ QUOTE ]
Perma nuke? 100% health? I wish.
Anyway, tp-ing from bases saves me looking for you all. You would stand together on top of buildings. -
Erk, hoping I hit 50 with Fraz before I throw myself at the only non hopping around like a simpering ninny elec / elec brute concept.
Hell knows what I'll do with it. Hit things lots. Ignore anything about 'you don't have acrobatics!?'. -
Getting fly for concept and attack purposes. Looking forward to seeing every ninny and his mother with jump.

Make sure you slot Thunderstrike and Charged Brawl with Stuns; insanely useful at mob management. Not quite sure of the above suggestion of Havoc Punch, since it's Sleep as opposed to Stun, which to be honest, when you're constantly attacking, probably won't do much.
[/ QUOTE ]Charged brawl is sleep too, just used to accept stun enhancers.
Thunder strike has a stun on the main target, but not for the others which makes it not so useful, rather slot EndRdx in it.
[/ QUOTE ]
Since realised that the knockback on Thunderstrike is more useful as mob management, and charged brawl and havoc punch are just slotted for dmg and acc, untill I think of something else to do with Havoc Punch.. -

ooooh, things I can screw up in the game folders -
Quoted from The Privates sig.
I'm a PvP freak. I go in and enjoy getting smashed (in more ways than one) and smashing brutes around. I've had some decent fun, and then left other times with a bitter aftertaste.
I have several alts, all of which will be balanced fighters in PvE and PvP simply because I like balancing out my characters in any game I play, unless I'm trying to make a concept character. I don't lift ideas from help pages or 'how to make a stalker hunter blaster guides' or whatever, I just pick things that I think work well at the time, and go with it. I've inadvertently made strong PvP characters by doing this, and in other ways, made others really strong in PvE. I made a Mind / Storm troller before the pvp zones were even started, and lo and behold, everyone rants about either powerset (mind with TK, or storm with it's numerous advanatages) when it comes to PvP.
I have Stealth on Fraz, no leadership pool, no jumping tricks either. I do fairly well. However, I'm going to take a break from PvP in siren's, because of the yo-yo ing feelings with it and other issues. I'll probably hang around Warburg, and I aim to be there for the 40-50 pvp zone. Hopefully toggle dropping will be sorted, but I'll be able to fight how I like to, without the negativity. -
[ QUOTE ]
Some sets definitely aim towards the detoggling. Whereas my 50 is a put put upon kat/regen with brawl as his only detoggling power. Not fair *sniff* I have to batter them to death through their shields/defences the whole time
[/ QUOTE ]
AAAAAAARGH Katanas, scrappers juggle my balls with their knockup effect =( More effective than any hold.
Errr, lemme see what Frazzy has,
Brawl
Telsa Cage
Brawl
Charged Brawl
Brawl
Havoc Punch
Brawl
Thunder Strike
Brawl
Short Circuit + Power Sink + Thunderous Blast =noend*detoggle
Brawl
...
did I mention Brawl?
That REALLY needs to get sorted. I'm sick to death of having fly detoggled everytime some regen slaps me with their handbag.
Oh yeah. THUNDERCLAP FTFREAKIN'WINBABY! -
Test Server? Is this a place I go plant anything I make without fear of reprisals from SGs / teams?
-
Damn, my blaster in on defiant. Is there any way round that?
-
What server are you on? I have a growing urge to fight you.
edit:
heh. 666th post and I'm challenging Chives, a dirty regen. (Have something against regens, nothing personal. =)) -
[ QUOTE ]
VERY very hard, I think only PFF and Phaseshift can; but it has a 4 second interruptible animation, locks you to the floor and medium range.
[/ QUOTE ]
Add Thunderclap to that list.
[ QUOTE ]
Most admit being TPed every 5 seconds is a lil anoying as a squishy. Came up with an idea though... what if TP foe had a recharge of say 2mins?
Can still be used in PvE, not that I think its used much there anyway, and still used in PvP. Just not so much as to get on everyone's [censored].
In that case put a 2 minute recharge on all holds cos they are annoying too.
[/ QUOTE ]
Nu-uh. I've balanced my Telsa Cage after a lot of experimentation and to keep twitty stalkers/brutes/corruptors/doms/ who realise I've just popped 200% defence inspirations at full defiance. NO ONE is taking that from me.
[/ QUOTE ]I enjoy dying or winning and i always applaud awsome fights and people that dont give up or come up with better strategies. A stalker the other day level 20 kept trying while 9 heroes were on him to lay a hit and find a tactic that would pay. Kudos to him.
You...enjoy dying?
You enjoy trolling or simply not understand my posts and need further explanation? If you need help to understand feel free to type "please explain further what you mean i do not understand". Such kind of debates do not need degrading to total jokes.
[/ QUOTE ]
That was harsh.
I enjoy going down fighting. When it takes multiple villians to take you, feel flattered.
(Sorry about the multiple posting, I'm all over the place.) -
People are getting carried away trying to spec in defences against one AT that as luck would have it has more than enough against it already.
Know your stuff. Today I somehow was able to see 3 (!) stalkers trying to AS me at once and I managed to use thunderclap (it doesn't do any damage, waa waa waa, stone tanks hate it, waa waa) and bugger them off for more than enough time than some leadership buff and hoping I punch one of them with a slow animation attack.
Having something that can fight with a few inspirations a decent team (any given wanderer in sirens who's a regular will do, they're all good) is better than something that's unfocused and tries too hard to be something it can't be.
Know your build - lol, yesterday I pointed out the PB on the team would be a good tank because we had 4 trollers at the time (the inherent, the best thing of the epic archtypes (I don't have one yet! lol) I think is the best aspect - mez protection! Damage increase, or something else that gives you uberness =) ) and he was
Also, having the privledge to buy inspirations 20 clicks away from siren's is amazingUseful if there's an on going battle in Siren's.
Jackhobos post is a good one; stalkers (along with scrappers) are the easy mode of the game. They're both insanely pve and pvp friendly and with anyone with any skill they're more than enough.
Try playing blasters, controllers, a defender (other than an empath), tanks or something else to give yourself a challenge wimps -
The sg I'm currently with (I'm a happy wanderer) roleplays. (occasionaly)
I only found this out about a week ago as I assumed it was moslty all on Union, but meh. They got empaths who think I die too much
We're on defiant, but I think the sg leader is trying to get a sg kickstarted on Union too, send a tell to
@Frazzle.d
or
@Flaming Storm
And avoid deathbyproxy.
