Aww, well now I'm only left with bitterness and a still really awesome power... Curse you spiritual hating devs!

Out of curiosity though, does it boost the lore pet heals at all? And for that matter do you have any info on how often/intelligently they fire those off? I mostly just notice the fortitude buff because the sound effects for that freak me out (side effect of having a psi hole in my armor set ), but I'm uncertain about how smart they actually are about using those heals since so far I've mostly just pulled the pets out in trials at points where it wouldn't matter.

I think I've got a fun correction to make to this. I upgraded my destiny slot to a Rebirth Partial Radial Conversion on my fire scrapper last night and I randomly fired it off in a group of people in Pocket D to watch the green numbers pop up (I've also discovered it's fun to use when I don't feel like avoiding nova fist ). I noticed something seemed weird when I saw 4 digit green numbers pop up over the heads of everyone around me, which seemed like more than it was supposed to be healing for. I didn't look into it at the time though, and eventually logged out for the night.

But a few hours later it was really bugging me, and I logged back in to test a theory. I fired off my rebirth, and saw 4 digits again. Then I unslotted my T4 spiritual alpha, fired my rebirth off again, and the heal was smaller! I checked again, this time watching the regen values on my character, and sure enough, with the spiritual alpha in I was getting bigger regen numbers than with it unslotted.

I can't check any other destiny and alpha combinations, but it looks like at the very least the spiritual heal effect is being applied to destiny, so it's possible some other alpha effects are being applied to destiny as well.

Anyway, I'm slightly less bitter that my spiritual recharge doesn't affect my incarnate powers now, because the alpha boosted rebirth is making an already awesome power even more awesome

    Edit: Aww, apparently a bug
  3. Animal fur is a great and much needed replacement for monstrous fur (no more unsightly patches of skin color!), and it's even better that it allows the attachment of patterns.

It'd be really nice to see a "large" version of the cat claws. They don't feel quite as ridiculously small as the old monstrous ones do in their small version, but they really could use a larger version if possible so that everything doesn't seem to have thin limbs.

Wolf head could really use some interchangeable ears, even if it's just the old monstrous ones, although being able to put the cat ones would be useful in a few niche situations as well. Not being able to color the ears (or anything beyond the main color) on the wolf head kind of sucks too. I also would like to echo the sentiment to get some two tone coloring on the wolf heads, although I personally think something like that might go better on the arctic head as just a seperately colored section (lower jaw?) since the pattern on the other head is pretty specific (but could also use two tone coloring regardless). I'd also love to be able to do a different colored fur stripe down the back of the head as a texture (sort of mohawk-ish), but I imagine that's pretty unlikely to happen.

The one real letdown for me is the inability to use eye auras with the new wolf head, which feels like it takes a lot of fun options off the table and is kind of a step backwards for customization along with the unswappable uncolorable ears.

Other than that, it kind of sucks that the bird stuff went in without some sort of wings. I know there are other bird-like wings available but they're in another pack, and locked behind a vet reward that isn't readily available for any newer players that might be drawn to the game, which does leave some people out of luck in that respect if they can for whatever reason only get the beast pack and really want to make a bird. A large version of the bird legs would probably be widely appreciated as well since they're kind of thin.

Finally, an endurance free no-effect kind of stance for beast run (and ninja run), as others have mentioned, would be awesome. Probably not going to happen, but it'd be awesome.

The pack itself, in any case, is still really great despite the cat favoritism and I can't wait to throw money at you for it, although it's going to be really weird adjusting to the new graphics on a few characters. I just hope someone fixes the missing animal fur option on male trenchcoats before things go live because I don't think I can stand the monstrous fur texture anymore now that we've got a decent replacement! But yes, my money, please have it.
  4. Animal fur option is currently missing for male characters wearing trenchcoats, but is available on female and huge characters wearing trenchcoats.

The proliferation of Assault Rifle to the Clockwork only raised a few eyebrows in the player community. But when the Circle of Thorns got Demon Summoning? Well, that's a story for another day.
