  1. $15 a month is already one of the highest monthlee fees out there. To pump that up to $20, or even $17.50, for what (seems like right now) will be basically one game is going to be too much for me. Maybe $16.00-$16.50.
  2. Even though I was initially disappointed that it wasn't making it into Issue #3, I can emphatically say that with something like this that I feel truly gratified to see it held back until perfection. If something like this is done splendidly, then that will flesh out the game in so many ways. It's the biggest hole in the game right now, and this could well fill it. If it was done poorly... it'd just be another useless, shallow diversion that doesn't really add anything. I am sure you guys can pull this off well! Don't rush it! Hold it back to Issue #5 if you have to!

Just a comment that KO'd villains should not wake up in hospitals the way heroes do. Instead, they should wake up in jail.

On the plus side, Jail should have trainers for villains and stores (everything is for sale in jails), and villains should have many many ways to escape from jail, ranging from the legal (lawyers) to the not legal breakout (physical force, stealth, teleport, etc).

That would be a kool, idea. But we can take it alittle further. Just like in the beginning of CoH you have a little training session. Have the same type of training session except it is geared to escape from jail or released or paroled. That would help with the mind set and game play.

I really like this idea for a tutorial. Start off in jail, you hear about the CoV island thing (forget the name), do some easy missions to break out... very immersing.
  4. Remember, the Cryptic does everything so that it'll be released early, so when they say "delay", they really mean "on time". At least, so far when they've given a timeframe they've delivered toward the earlier ends, and when they've said it might be delayed it usually isn't (unless it's something that's like 5+ months away), and even when they say something is impossible they pull it off anyway (badge datamining, anyone? ^_^). But shapeshifting in Council of War? I don't think I've even heard that as a possibility before! That would be awesome...
  5. Well, yes, when it gets down to a week or two before release and they aren't telling us something about the game, that's building hype. However, at this point, 2-3 months before release, things are certainly going to change around to an unknown extent, and if they tell us "Trenchcoats in Issue #3!", and then have to back out of that promise, that would be very bad for them. I believe that's why States usually teases us.

Prestiege classes. Once your character reaches level 50, you will unlock the 'prestiege class' for that AT. This is a whole new character to play with.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well, I hope wings is included in the "other kinds of capes" set

if so, I can wait until 20 to give Med flight

also...with prestige classes, does your level 50 become the new class.....or do you have to start a new character with it?

Could you respec to it with the 50 char????

    [/ QUOTE ]

All of this is unknown. Most people seem to think that getting to 50 will open up an "AT character slot" for you to make a new one, but I don't think this is really known.

About the trenchcoats, though: I think I remember one of the devs saying that they are very tricky and they won't be able to get them in for a while, probably NOT by issue 3.

Statesman, why don't you and Positron get together and make a cryptic hint in a bunch of those obscure languages you know (egyptian?), and then he can put it into some crazy code! That can be the out of combat system until Issue #3 comes out.

We'll also be tuning down Trolls and Outcasts even more - to make them like Skulls and Hellions (fewer powers, etc.).

    [/ QUOTE ]

Please don't remove the Outcast minions' powers! Skulls and Hellion minions are already pretty boring. Outcasts and Trolls, pre-I2, were both just as boring. Other than the skin, you might as well have been fighting Contaminateds. BORING. Outcasts' whole reasons for existance is supposed to be that their amazing powers make them unable to live in normal society! Against them, it felt like I was actually fighting super-powered criminals, as opposed to some random street thug. If you have to make them easier, give them lower HP or damage or something. Heck, give Hellions some cool weapons (they are supposed to have artifact power, no?).
