  1. You know, I've already got badges for being here over 40 months, and value the powers that takes a long time to get. So what if I can't get this stuff /now/. I have other stuff in the veteran rewards that I want but can't get for a while either... and they're going to add even more stuff out of my reach for a while. Its not the end of the world that it takes a while to get these things... I'm not going anywhere, and this stuff will come in due time just like everything else does. The only thing this does is gives me more of an excuse to play multiple characters more.
  2. I have to say that I disagree with the price. I would say that $4.99 would be an appropriate price, but a full $10 is too much for a simple respec. If this is not an automated system where someone manually has to flip a switch or something that's different, but you should be able to have this automated, and with a change that doesn't need to be touched... well... it just feels too expensive to justify the price. If you gave the ability to 'recycle' a character and let us start a new character with all the exp and inf of the old one, that might be worth it.

You know, if datamining is such a big deal, why not sorta skip it. How about writing an extra bit of code for all of the contacts for a quick and dirty method. If your able to call them, they'll give you a recipie one time for the maximum level range that they're at. This way you wouldn't need to datamine everyone all at once. You'd check that specific contact as needed when you called the contact and all you'd need is code to check if the call button is there or not, and if so let them have a recipie. Might want to give level 50's 2 of them for each contact since they won't have the opportunity to get more really, but overall I would think its a pretty straight forward thing you could do and have everyone treated pretty equally for the B Type recipies. If you have all the arc's for your 50 done, great, you get recipies for your level, and if not, you have the ability to get them for your level. Since most come from Pool A anyway, this woudln't be a bad KISS type solution for the Pool B stuff.

I personally like the idea of datamining our Souvineers and Badges for retroactive rewards for everyone, and would love to see that first. However, mixing Bank stuff would be good too.

I've done more bank missions on my villains then my heroes, but I think that if one of those special recipies were given out in the mix of temp powers or instead of an SO for robbing a store, it woudn't overwhelm the system by giving out way way too many rewards too quickly, and would be a good way to get some Pool B types even if your 50 doesn't have story arc's left.
  5. I'm a fellow Earth/Sonic controller, and I have to say I like the guide... but after reading the responses I did see something that wasn't included. Fortunately, or unfortunately, I have accidentally hit the wrong button and caged an AV. Considering it was Ice Minstral and I interrupted a Snow Storm that was hitting everyone (the reason I made the mistake in the first place ) I was forgiven... but needless to say I was suprised that it worked! Might not work for all of them... but if it works for one, it certainly has a chance to work for others. Could really be useful at times if you needed to quickly clear out the enemies around an AV... just need to really make sure it hits. Oh... and one last thing... critters that are very resistant to Immobilization, they can still run around... which of course can create problems... like walking right through your death soup like it wasn't even there
  6. I guess it looks like it is bugged in some way then... only the GM staff are apparently under the impression that it isn't bugged. Well, I hope the dev's pick up on this one and fix it however its supposed to be fixed.

  7. I just got informed by a GM saying the problem I had was 'working as designed' so I'm putting up a general warning about this issue that I've found with how the levels work inside the game.

Many people have read the Prima Guide and that gives you the clear heads up that if you enter the mission and your not high enough to actually get the mission yourself, you will not get the Temporary Power that you get for defeating the mission. If your of a higher level then the Mayhem Mission and never got the temporary power before, you can get it for the first time just by helping to complete it.

What the Prima Guide doesn't tell you is how the Raid side mission works... which is the exact opposite. If you are in a Raid mission, if you have a Lackey and are running in the mission, then you are able to get the temporary power within that mission. However, if you are not in the proper level range and are Exemplared down, then you cannot get the temporary power... and if you go in and click the glowy inside the mission you ruin everyone else's chances of actually getting that power. Considering this is 'working as designed', but I've not really seen any warnings about this particular issue, I'm sticking it in here so that you all can at the very least be aware of it.

In addition to this, I was hoping that the temporary powers from the Raid missions would have been randomised, but it seems like you only get one specific one per level range, but clicking on the glowie again gives you nothing (not even a 'You recieved a Temporary Power' message), and of course if you running with teammates, once again by doing this you ruin it for any member of your party that hasn't gotten the power yet.

All that I can really say about how this work is that I don't really like it, but unless this is changed, please think befoe you grab the glowie.
  8. You know, one of the things that I would have to say is that for stalkers, wouldn't it make more sense for Soul Transfer to actually replace the Disoriented effect with a Placate and Hide effect? Rather then clouding their mind clouding their sight type thing. Considering you have to die to use it, an AoE Placate and hide effect wouldn't be overpowered and would be much more stalker specific.
