So it's possible that every character we didn't actually see die can return? Like that Lucien that Rush supposedly shot. We didn't actually see him kill him. He could have missed or only wounded him.

Quote:Edit: Just tested again, copied my fitness-less fire/wp brute to the beta server, and upon logging in she had all the fitness powers, no leveling or respec required, so I can confirm that any toons without fitness at all will get it automatically upon login.
I figured that was how it would work for characters that didn't have Fitness chosen already. That's why I used my GR freespecs to pull Fitness off of any character that had the powerset. I can add slots as they continue to level.
The only characters I need to use the I19 freespec on are my 50's -
Quote:If it was the only posts in danger of being modded would be yours and the OP's.If that is truly the case then perhaps elitism should be modded just as well.
Everyone else has repeatedly tried to offer helpful information and bent over backwards to provide ways to get the GR expansion for much less than the normal sales price.
People who are behaving in an "elitist" manner wouldn't bother to do any of that. -
Quote:I read it the other day to, I saw nothing on that end where mods would delete anything, it sounds like your just trolling at this point.
Seeing as you've been away from for several years you might be unaware that it's against forum rules to that accusation. You mught want to read them since they were just made stricter a few months ago and the Mods have been enforcing them.
You can find a link to them at the top of this section of the forums Message Forum Rules and Guidelines.
Oh and if you really had read the thread prior to the Mods deleting posts you would have seen that about a dozen posts are now missing. Only the Mods can remove a post from a thread. Our tools only allow us to edit a post. Editing doesn't remove it, it merely allows us to change what was posted and it automatically tags the post as edited with the following: Last edited by <poster's name>; 11-19-2010 at 10:23 PM.
However Editing only changes the original post. If someone has quoted the post that remains unedited in their post. Also the Mods can see the original post and any changes made so we can't post something bad then edit it and not get caught.
I hope you find this info useful. Have fun playing the game Angel. -

When I inherited one of my SG's (pre I13) they had 7 salvage bins 6 of which were full. That's over 15,000 pieces of base salvage they had been sitting on. I myself left those items alone for over a year waiting to see if any of the founders were going to return.

Quote:Paragon City is literally inundated with caped crusaders and super villains. They are so commonplace that I'd say the average citizen only recognizes the most famous/infamous. Why they even ride the train/ferry side by side. Not quite the same. Dillinger didn't run around in tights and pain pads. I'd hazard a guess that the average citizen on the streets couldn't have pointed him out in a line-up. But that's just a purely hypothetical situation. If he'd been wearing the kinds of outfits we wear in the game, that would have been a different story.
The tights and capes are so much a part of everyday life that the citizens ignore them unless there is some fighting/crime going on/happening. -
Boo Hoo. For 6 years we had to put up with either:
1. Trusting a third party to help us transfer items between characters on the same server and faction.
2. Use SG storage to transfer items between characters on the same server and faction and only if they were in the same SG.
3. Create a character on a second account and run both accounts at the same time on your computer so you could safely transfer items and inf between characters on the same server and faction. (and once the trial restrictions went into effect using trial accounts for transfers became a bigger PITA)
The new email feature is a hell of a lot faster than the hoops we had to jump thru before and a lot more versatile. -

Quote:Every single character can start an SG at level 10, and considering how easy it is to make hundreds of millions of inf theres no excuse why they can't use it to convert to prestige and build a nice personal storage facility.1) Email deletes after x number of days. Its not a timeless storage solution.
2) What if you dont have a SG? That totally negates that arguement.
It's just convenience. Why should any system in game be more of a hinderance to use than a help? (Like Respecs...)
The only reason people don't have a personal SG with base is because they choose not to.
And the excuse that if they make a personal SG they won't be able to join another SG doesn't hold any weight. Players can join larger communities than any SG by joining any one of the many global channels. Like Repeat Offenders for example. Players can even join multiple global channels.
Storage is pretty much the only thing other than the CoP trial that bases have that is still useful. The days when having base teleporters was needed to fast travel has long since past. and when I19 merges the trains and ferries travel will be even faster. Base raiding may never be fixed, and base building sadly is in the minority. -

Quote:Just an FYI,While to me he seemed a little off about most of you, I can kind of see where he got some of the rudeness, but most of you are not helping by making comments like that anyhow.
What you may be unaware of is that the Mods have deleted several posts that were made after midnight on Sunday the 21st which lead up to the comments the OP is getting now. Without them you can't see what led up to this. You're only seeing part of the conversation and that can give you the wrong impression.
Oh and if you weren't aware when the Mods delete a post, every post that is linked to it by way of quotes gets deleted with it. So it's possible a chain of posts can disappear when one post is removed. -
I'm not against the idea but this idea doesn't even have a snowballs chance in hecll of ever happening. (especially the buying storage) The devs are dead set against what they (not we) consider hoarding.
I'm making an assumption from the OP's forum reg date means he's only been playing since June of this year so I'll give an example of what the devs have done to limit our ability to store items in bases.
When they first added SG bases into the game with CoV back in Issue 6 or 7, they allowed us to store 2,500 pieces of salvage in each Salvage Storage Bin. Jump forward to Issue 13 they changed it and now we can only store 30 items in each bin.
That's over a 98% reduction in our ability to store salvage in bases.
Now to discuss how many items we can store on our accounts using available features Not counting base storage bins.
Currently each character has the potential of storing at least
Inspirations 20
Enhancements 10
Salvage 65
Vault Salvage slots 50
Recipes 25
Market slots 22 (special - Each slot can hold 1 enhancement/inspiration or stacks of 10 salvage/recipes. It can also be used to make bids up to 2 billion each on nonexistant items to store up to 44 billion per character)
* Email attachments 20 (any combination + 2 billion inf each)
The asterisk by the email is ther because we can use that feature to transfer all those items between characters which increases our storage capabilities drastically.
Without buying any extra character slots we can currently have up to 136 characters (NA) 54 characters (EU) on a single account. So using the email feature we can store up to:
Inspirations 2,760 (NA) 1,080 (EU)
Enhancements 1,380 (NA) 540 (EU)
Salvage 8,970 (NA) 3,510 (EU)
Vault Salvage 6,900 (NA) 2,400 (EU)
Recipes 3,450 (NA) 1,200 (EU)
Market (if storing Enh/Insp) 3,036 (NA) 1,056 (EU)
Market (if storing salv/rec) 30,360 (NA) 10,560 (EU)
Now buying extra character slots we have the ability to increase the amount of items we can store on a single account by at least:
Inspirations 7,920 (NA) 2,880 (EU)
Enhancements 3,960 (NA) 1,440 (EU)
Salvage 25,740 (NA) 9,360 (EU)
Vault Salvage 19,800 (NA) 7,200 (EU)
Recipes 9,900 (NA) 3,600 (EU)
Market (if storing Enh/Insp) 8,712 (NA) 3,168 (EU)
Market (if storing salv/rec) 87,120 (NA) 31,680 (EU)
I'm not going to bother doing the math on how much Inf we can store on an account because the number is astronomical.
So as much as I like the idea of having more storage I don't see the devs implementing anything as drastic as the OP's suggestion -
Shame we can't find a supply of level 1 Damage TO's.
-
Well I until recently I was under the impression that if we turned off our XP it also turned off Patrol XP. So I think they should change it so that it works that way, but I don't expect everyone to agree with me.

Quote:The expansion was on sale at an online store which is open 24 hours a day. 7 days a week. and the sale lasted until noon the next day. You had almost 12 hours between the time you acknowledged you that you read our posts advising you the sale was going on and the time the sale actually ended. That was plenty of time for you to buy it if you were really interested in getting Going Rogue at that time.Helping someone is not judging them for not spending 40 bucks and to the person above I did not have the money at that very moment and I didnt find out to really late that night, couldnt do it until the next day and by then it was gone, which I clearly stated there as well, so you can think some of you are reading the thread all you want but your not.
Now you could have simply said that you can't afford the expansion unless it goes on sale for a lot less than it's currently being sold for, and left it at that. Instead you chose to denigrate it and imply that it's overpriced.
You fixated on the Praetorian 1-20 content and ignored everything else that comes with the expansion. Then you got defensive when people explained everything else that comes with the expansion so you'd understand how big an impact having it has on the game.
No one said you were wrong for not wanting to buy the expansion at full price. The truth of the matter is that they went out of their way to find you ways to get it for much less.Quote:I do not thank those who decided that I was wrong for not wanting to shev out 40 dollars for a mmo I may not even play for 3 4 months. Goodbye.

and starting Cyber Monday it will be on sale for $9.99.
But feel free to delude yourself that people weren't trying to be helpful. Whatever game you ultimately end up playing you'll never find a nicer community than the one we have here.
Best of luck on finding a game you enjoy. If it turns out to be this one, I'm sure we all look forward to seeing you somewhere in the City. -
From what I recall from complaints I've seen over the years, the GM's are strictly hands off. If you don't use your security permissions then the person that removed everything has done nothing wrong.

Quote:I disagree. Those characters were dead as soon as the decision was made to leave them behind. Their only hope of survival was that the aliens would return and save them. They had little to no chance of surviving the first winter.Issue 2, i really think that we all knew that we had not heard the last of those people. Dropped on a manufactured planet with a mystic statue etc. Im pretty sure we had to know it was gonna be revisited.
1. Not one of the people that stayed behind had the skills or knowledge necessary to survive. (Farming, Shelter building, Hunting, Food Preservation, etc)
2. The Destiny and Youngs people didn't have the tools they would have needed to survive to leave them when the ship left. (Axes for chopping wood, plows for farming, etc)
3. Of the supplies the Destiny did have they couldn't give them enough to last them thru the winter. (Preserved food to last thru the first winter, seeds to start farming in spring, weapons and ammo for hunting, medicine, etc)
4. Not one of them had the common sense god gave an eggplant. Seriously. They were relying on a broken, crashed shuttle to provide them with protection from the elements? Yeah nobody saw that as a disaster waiting to happen, no the broken crashed shuttle will just keep working perfectly forever. -
So did you guys think a "Rusty Venture" was?
-
Well Rush did a good job of bursting the God fantasy that guy had, but other than getting a brand new shuttle all they accomplished is they set up TJ for a breakdown by torpedoing the fantasy she had about her baby being alive somewhere.
I did like the conversation Greer had with Chloe.
