Damn stupid AI. How dare they program it to repeatedly take advantage of a players weakness in order to keep it "alive" longer in combat.

If you're going to define cancellation as changing the product then I hate to break the news to you but everyone will be going to "buy" a different product starting Nov 30th.

Just because your favorite product will no longer be available after a certain date doesn't mean you have to rush home and immediately replace it with something else.

Most people with common sense will use the time remaining to enjoy their favorite product while they still can, maybe even try to save it, while looking for a replacement.

Let's not start nitpicking what combat tactics we can't do in the game. I've got my own list but it's useless to gripe about things we can't change because their devs chose not to allow them for whatever reasons.

Are there any other perks for buying the LTS? Not that not having to pay to sub after 13 months isn't enough incentive, I'm just curious.

Uhm the fact that CoH didn't change it's "recipe" to something we didn't like. Nor was CoH not turning a profit for NCSoft.

I'm glad to see someone say this because that's been bugging me but I've been telling myself there's a learning curve and I'm too used to doing things on CoH.

Sorry. I think I'm a little defensive because I feel guilty for not playing more. As much as I do like the game I just can't seem to find the motivation to log in more often. And I have no one but myself to blame for that.

Cereal prices are hardly a scam. Even the data I provided is ten years out of date. It's even more expensive now to manufacture it and prices go up accordingly.

While there are real pricing scams out there the example you chose has been thoroughly debunked.



Another good example of pricing scams are digital downloads of books, music, movies, etc. Publishers no longer have the excuse of expenses that used to go into the manufacture and distribution of books, records, CD's, DvD's yet they charge the same prices as if you were getting a brand new physical product.


Personally I don't mind paying top dollar for a newly released item but there is no way in hell I'm paying $10-20 bucks for an ebook, album, movie that's several years old. I'll find a damned used physical copy dirt cheap.

My actual motive behind posting the prices was to demonstrate how good we actually had it here as far as pricing goes and what we got for our money. People are going to find that cash shops in some other games are more expensive.

You should be able to just download and play. I enjoy the game when I get around to playing, tho I admit I prefer the space combat over the ground combat.

And the Supermarkets that sell generic brands are packaging the exact same product as the name brand which they bought from the same manufacturer only packaged under a generic name.

I liked the test as well, but I think my mood affects my answers. For fun I've taken it a couple of times and gotten a different answer each time.

My personality seems to fluxuate beween the Dragon and the Templars. I've never gotten the Illuminati tho.

I did this as well just to be fair and give each faction a chance and as an lame excuse to try different magic builds.

Templars went with Elementalism/Shotgun
Dragons went with Chaos/Sticky-Pokey
Illuminati went with Blood/Assault Rifle

Oh and I'm currently soloing on Arcadia


Dragon - FeydRuatha - Yeah I know - but it's just for the trial. If I end up getting the game I'll get a more original name.
Illuminati - Locura - "Madness/Insanity" - After meeting the mad scientist I remade the character because this name felt appropriate.
Templar - Caracel - Which is a Wild Cat


I considered trying to see if Serval was available but I didn't like thinking people might assume Serval = Servant for a Templar. He doesn't blindly follow their doctrine but instead follows his conscience and tries to defend humanity. To hell with the Templars orders if they contradict what he knows in his heart is the right thing to do.

While I personally agree with everything you said, you have to consider what type of audience the writers are trying to engage.

You've got to remember that the intended audience are just simple people. These are people of the land. The common clay of America. You know... morons.

Personally it's the costumes that only unlock for a single character that killed any interest I had in buying points if I decide to get the game.

Do you know if you also have to buy a ticket to make use of the games tailor if you buy a new costume piece/set?

Cuz that's just adding insult to injury.
