Hey, thanks for your feedback! And yeah, that final boss fight is tricky to balance, that's definately going to be reviewed before the arc hits live.
As for:
[ QUOTE ]
The Monster in the first mission is tough to hurt. He couldn't hurt me a whole lot but until I got a dozen Space Marines aggroed onto him I was hardly overcoming his regen. Maybe he could be turned down to Boss because such a tough foe in the first mission might scare people away early on.

Working as intended.I wanted to design a boss where the player had to do something other than "attack! attack! attack!" to beat it, hence it being impossible to damage by a solo player. I intended for the plethora of Space Marines in that mission to be used as you described.

I just ran "Welcome to Donut World". Soloed on the easiest setting on my lv 50 bs/wp scrapper; didn't have much trouble with it. Overall I enjoyed it; the story really started coming together in a pretty cool way around the third mission (though the story was surprisingly dark o_0 ) The enemy group was perhaps the sneakiest I've come across (I like how you can't tell for sure what each mob will do until you've attacked them, I also like how they have diverse attacks). My one criticism is that I didn't find the first two missions very interesting; to be fair it was partly because the story hadn't picked up yet, but perhaps some NPC dialogue or patrols would have livened those missions up.
On a side note, I hope you weren't trying to subliminally influence junkies with those navigation titles (I.E. "Find D.B.") I kid, I kid!

I recently finished the following sci-fi story arc and am looking for some feedback on it:

"Adventures of the Space Marines"
Arc ID: 17421
Length: Very Long (5 Missions. Estimated 45 minutes- 1 hours)
Morality: Neutral
Plot: The evil Alkanis Empire lead by the space tyrant, Emperess Dominia, has invaded the planet Phobos and subjugated the peace-loving Simizams. Its up to the Space Marines, valiant protectors of the galaxy, to liberate the Simizams and thwart the Emperess's malevolent ambitions! Are -you- tough enough to hang with the space marines?

Changes I intend to implement soon:
*Tone down the unimportant NPC chatter in missions 1, 2, and 5.
*Reduce the number of ally patrols and eliminate the enemy patrols in mission 5.
*Possibly downgrade Captain Batalia to a boss.
One thing I would really like to hear from anyone who decides to run this arc, is the final boss too easy, too hard, or just right? (And what difficulty did you run it on, with what kind of toon?) Thanks!
Hope ya'll enjoy it!

I think I'll run ridiculous's arc as soon as the search engine gets fixed on test.
-
Republished "Adventures of the Space Marines". The arc number is now 17421.
Changes made in latest update:
*Based on some feedback, I decided to change a powerset of the enemies in the third and fourth mission
*Added a bio to Captain Batalia
*Downgraded Captain Batalia from an AV/EB to an EB.
Changes I intend to implement when i14 goes live:
*Tone down the unimportant NPC chatter in missions 1, 2, and 5.
*Reduce the number of ally patrols and eliminate the enemy patrols in mission 5.
*Possibly downgrade Captain Batalia even further to a boss.

Hey all, I just completed my second mission architect story arc. "Adventures of the Space Marines" is a sci-fi epic which pits your character in the fight against an evil space empire. Fight alongside the space marines and liberate Phobos! Overall I'm pretty happy with how the adventure turned out, but I would love to get some feedback. -

Hey, thanks for checking my arc out! I hope you had fun!
In response to your comment about the multiple AVs/EBs; I think its a matter of preferance when it comes to them, I happen to really enjoy AVs/EBs and wanted to have a few scattered through the arc to add some flavor and challenge to the arc. But I think you'd agree that they're reasonably designed (I.E. not 1-shot wonders or unkillable monstrosities). -

Note: Ran this arc as a lv 50 eng/dev blaster on the second difficulty level
*Heh, I like the contact you chose, very appropriate!
*The first nav task doesn't have any custom text, I don't know if that was intended or not
*What are they doing in the video the player finds? (Do I want to know?)
*Heh, I like the first boss's hair and he's got good dialogue
*No special bios for thugs or slingers in the second mish
*In Bright Angel's bio, do you mean to say 15%?
*I like Bright Angel's comment
*Junkyard Dog's got a case of <All custom Characters>
*I liked the powers of the enemies in the second mission
*I must say, seeing the bright purple light in the distance when I entered the third mish really caught my attention
*Btw, I'm writing these comments as I go throught the arc... at this point I'm curious as to what's going on in this story and where its going (curious in a good way, mind you!)
*Yeah, I like Bright Angel, lol
*Sis Ba Boom's also got a case of <all custom characters>, cool dialogue though and nice ambush
* -_- Alright, that's a nice twist before the fourth mission
*Sideshow Sally ---> <All custom characters>
*I like Sideshow Sally's bio! Ditto for wrong number (all custom, btw)!
*Blappy's fans compliment blappy well and its a pretty cool fight, though it would've been nice if Blappy spawned as higher than a boss for me
Overall I enjoyed the arc, it had a fun story and dialogue. Though I have to wonder now, (spoiler: what did Nemesis have to do with the plot? I mean, why were they in the first mission?

This arc features a "super-villain-themed" custom group called the New Kings which has a number of tough mobs. There is one named boss (scaled down to lieutenant on lower difficulties), one elite boss (again, scaled down to lieutenant on lower difficulties), and 4 arch villains (scaled down to elite bosses on lower difficulties). I found the final arch villain to be the most challenging, but I was able to beat it solo on my lv 50 eng/dev blaster on the second difficulty level. -
Hey all, I just completed and published my first completed mission architect arc. Its designed to be a fun challenge for higher level characters.

I'm not too familiar with Crysis, however, I'm betting that map will be a blast to play on with enough players!

I'll take a look through my collection later; I know I've got a number of good shots of groups fighting the winter lords.

You mean the first song? The one with lyrics?
That was the theme song from the game "Sonic Adventure" (the first one). -
