Are you a Teen? Then join the Scene. The Teen Scene that is.

Hi there. I was wondering if anyone knew how to change the text color or size so I can highlight mission objectives. I've seen people use it and think it would be a great feature to use.
-
I have to wonder why "Collection" Objectives can't be linked to other objectives so that they can only be activated once you do something else.
-
Alright. Let's summarize here:
The suggestion is to add an "Unkillable" Option to test mode in order to test out mission flow, vocabulary, texts, Animations etc.
Two of the major complaints against it:
It wouldn't allow you to test out difficulty.
There would be no risk in getting rewards.
Here's my answer to those complaints:
If you want to test out the difficulty of your mission, simply turn the option "off" and test the mission. Simple solution, eh?
No Risk for Rewards? What kind of rewards do you get in test mode anyway besides a few Badges? Even if you were using this option to exploit your missions to get those badges, you still have to go through the process of creating the missions and completing mission objectives. Really, I think the devs just put those Badges in to inspire people to use the MA. But As long as you can only get "test badges" through testing, I don't see it being much of a problem having an "Unkillable" option. -
To my knowledge you don't get tickets, rewards, Inspirations from test mode. Only thing you get is badges. Yes... people would use "god mode" to farm those badges. But really, adding a feature like this would help the people actually working to make quality arcs.

You want a downside? Ok, Here ya go.
Because there are badges and rewards you get while running missions in test mode before publishing them, and an unkillable mode would allow them to exploit and farm them with no risk involved.

That's their fault for putting badges in a test mode, sorry to say. Test mode is meant for testing things out ((working)), not playing a game. That's what the final product is for. I'm more interested in getting my arc to work properly and coming out with something of high quality more then trying to get some badge. But, of course I'm speaking for myself.
There is of course the fact that even if you would be unkillable, those badges would be on an equal playing field, plus you would still have to work to get them. So it's not like it would be that big of a deal. -
That depends on the person using the option. Like anything, people would abuse it, or use when they don't need to. That's with anything though.
-
That is why I am saying "Add an option" to be unKillable. If you want to test the difficulty then leave it off, But if you are simply trying to look at vocabulary, mission flow, checking to make sure animations work correctly and all that other stuff, but you choose to put in AV into the mission, you should be able to test the stuff without having to take trips to the hospital.
Game developers walk around with invulnerabilty... why can't we when we're developing our stuff? -
Let me stop you right there. We are not a geared towards Cybering. So if you are looking for a group that does that, we're not it.
I would also appreciate stifling the negative comments please. I wouldn't think you'd want someone joking about your SG like that.
If your character RPs as a teenage Superhero please look us up. -
Clearly my sarcasm in the last post was missed.
Well only reason is because it would help if you want to go through the mission and look for bugs. -
Well... in anycase... don't make the same mistake I made!!
-
Hmm... I guess because that would be too hard.
-
I only have Notepad on this PC. Which is what I a using.
Well I don't want to publish the Arcs yet until they are all completed seeing as how it's all one big storyline. I'm big on detail and want to give out a final finished product when I publish. -
*you see a commercial on the Television. Heat Transfer, one of Paragon's top young Idol superheroines stands in front of City Hall as she smiles at you*
"Hey there teenage Superheroes!," She exclaims," Are you looking for a group of friends and teammates? Searching for a place to belong? Then join me at the scene! Teen Scene that is!"
She explains," We know how hard it is to be a teenager plus have powers to adapt to. It can be hard to relate to older heroes. Well we won't be your mentors. We're here to be your friends."
"If you want to be part of this scene, if you have powers and your're a teen, if you think this might be your team, then call us up and we'll set the theme."
She flies up into the sky and then ignites some number patterns in the air that look like a phone number and a T symbol.
Then some words pop up that says:
Contact @StormSurge. If you'd like to be a member of Teen Scene. YOu must be Age 13-19. We also accept aliens, Kheldians, or Beasts who may be in their "teenage" years. We do not endorse the killing or maiming of criminals, only capture and arrest. (( Heavy RP SG. )) -
There is a bug when you use Posi as a contact that changes his stance. He used to look like a cat on the ground about to pounce. Or more like a Spiderman inpersonation.
Well he doesn't do that anymore. Nope... He ape walks. Have a good day. -
Alright Devs. This is badly needed, especially if people are going to plan on placing AVs into their mission arcs.
We need an option in test mode to allow players to be invincible. This allows us to test out text and mission flow without having to go through the agonizing process of killing AVs whilst trying to test the product out.
I might add that since you don't earn Inspirations in Test mode, nor do you earn experience or the like, It wouldn't be a problem give us this option.
Perhaps let our Health bar drop to 0, but don't allow us to die? We can also test out how hard our mission is then. -
Well it is slowly in the state of repair. I have decided to save all my text outside on a word processor so that If that data gets lost again it be retrieved. Which is what I'm now advising others to do as well.
-
Yep. Wish I had done that before all of it got deleted. It was a finished Arc. I was just meshing out the details.
I'm very sick right now. -
It wasn't published. But I'm wondering if they roll me back would it not be saved and I can get my data back?! I don't know. It was a completely finished arc. I had ALOT of data on it. I just wanted to test something on a different arc and it saved over my other one!
I'm so mad and upset right now. All that data... just gone! -
My arc just got overwritten and deleted. The file name was Autosave. When i crated a new arc to test something out it saved over my old one! Can Customer service help me out and get my data back?! Like roll me back or something so that it never happened?
-
Maybe they're fixing stuff they messed up during the last "patch". I just hope that stupid Description error is gone.
-
Oh I thought you could still use the Default text but I suppose you can't.
Well until they fix this, my stories are going to be shelved until they do. So do me a favor and get rid of this bug please. (( or just but the allowed character limit back to the way it was. )) -
I know what you mean. It makes mission pacing a bit awkward.
I have a machine you are supposed to inspect for instance and then your told to destroy the others. I'd link it, except collection objectives don't have an option to spawn after a condition is met.
So the first machine is supposed to be in the front so you are more likely to find that first, to explain why you are destroying the other ones. As I said... supposed . -
It's nice to know the problem has taken notice. I was quite disheartened because the current arc that I've written features some signature heroes and villians... It made mostly all my missions unplayable.
I don't want to change their Bios because I think it would detract from the overall storyline. In anycase... I hope the developers find a solution to the problem.
