  1. Well it's a new feature that sorta works!
  2. I haven't played my masterminds since i16 but I heard that all you have to do is buff them with something like a heal and they'll be under your control again. I have also heard about a nasty mayhem MM pet bug but I haven't checked it out myself.

  3. Someone else reported this and didn't want to see the profanity at all. The current workaround is to turn off the chat bubbles in the Options.

    I don't know if this is a confirmed bug, but report it, it can't hurt.

    However to see $#@!!! over someone's head, just ask them to type just that, $#@!!!. Problem solved.

    I should've rephrased that. I meant the highest IO available for the bonus you're going for.

    Purples are hardly the best IOs. They're the most expensive, yes and only really required for +rech builds for perma dom, perma PA, etc.

    In this case it was the lvl 50 Aegis' I had that bit me in the ***. Easily fixed on this toon.

    And you're right I have to decide on which way I want to go. I was just a bit miffed that I was getting tore up on the Tina arc. I generally don't mal/exemp so I doubt I'll make any changes.

  5. I know the answer to this but was curious what the general consensus was.

    I was on a Tina McIntyre team auto mal'd to 45 and my defense numbers were in the *******.

    Turns out it still follows the +3 rule for set bonusses when mal'd.

    However since we now get +5 powers shouldn't we also get +5 set bonusses?

    I never understood this rule anyway. Why get penalized for having the best IOs we can get our hands on?

    I confirmed that being SSKd to a lvl 47 didn't change my numbers at all.

  7. LOL this has been broken and fixed several times. I haven't run a manti since the last patch. A shame, it's one of my favorites.

    I don't think we'll ever see the day they don't break the same things over and over again.

  10. Yeah we saw it in quite a few more spots than on lag hill. It even happened several times in the crystal mission and quite a bit in the last mision.

    There could be multiple reasons for it. It happened more with this team then with any other team I've run the ITF with.
  11. I ran an all shield and 1 kin ITF earlier today and there was an unusually high amount of lag for 5 confirmed (myself and 4 other SG mates in Vent).

    Someone had told me that the reason why the TF lags at certain spots is because of Grant cover and all of the calculating / recalculating it does.

    So when there's a large number of Romans herded up that's where we see the worst of it. Apparently they all have Grant Cover.

    I don't know if it's true or not but I thought it was interesting that with 7 shields on the team there was lag in a lot more spots than just on lag hill.

    It'd be nice to see a fix for this Soon(tm).

    This build was for an ice/dark but I changed it over to fire just for you! The changes I did were pretty quick so some of the slotting can be moved around.

    If you're only getting 31% then something's wrong. I'd be interested in seeing your build. And no purples needed, they don't offer +ranged defense.

    I can typically do the +ranged defense side of things for 150 mil.

    The truth probably is that the company doesn't want to invest the time or resources to untangle the code. They'd rather crack the whip on the developers and they're smart enough to untangle the code they're working with without breaking too much.

    So many companies are in this position. It's even the case with enterprise class software. If it ain't broke don't fix it. The thing is we're not talking about enterprise class software or some big company. It's a game so this may be standard-ish.

    Remember all the reluctance to changing the email system or giving us the option to disable it? If memory serves me right (and it probably does) they didn't touch it back then because it was legacy code and they were afraid it would break something else.

    It's pretty darn bad when one piece of "unrelated" code breaks something completely different.

    Skipping an issue and putting a lot of effort into cleaning up their code would go a long way and make the developers happy, but you also have to weigh that against whether or not it's worth it to their bottom line. We are talking about a 5yr old game here. Things work well enough and all in all customers accept bugs with this game.

    They could also hire some consultants to come in and do the work. India's cheap, check 'em out.

    The customers wouldn't see less bugs right away but there would no longer be things like animations breaking when colors changed and I'm sure parts of the staff would be happier.

    One can only hope that over the last several issues they've put code standards in place and that this code mess is from some really old stuff.

  16. This has been beaten to death here.

    Chances are you're part of the vocal minority.

    You only get 25% experience if you only use bosses. Just use all 3 tiers and you get full rewards.

    Plus you have the new difficulty settings.

    I'm a fan of all the changes even though I did a lot of farming myself.

    Now it takes 2 days to go 1 to 50 farming whereas before it took 8 hours.

    Who cares?

  18. It is possible though that the maps got deleted for another unrealated reason and that's why it went unnoticed. The developer who made the change could've been given bad information about it not being used anywhere else and they don't have a system in place to verify it.

    Maybe the system picks the next closest match.

    Even Castle speculated. It's what everyone's doing.

    In the end no matter what the reason there's a process that can be improved here.
  19. What's funny is first we had jumping Rikti Pylons then we had jittery Rikti drones. This turned into shake and bake teleports. Now we have unfinished animations.

    It certainly is manifesting itself in interesting ways.
  20. QR, Paragon Studios or Entertainment or whatever they're called now is not a Fortune 100 or Fortune 500 company.

    Mistakes happen.

    It's not the end of the world.

    Hopefully they learn from it and their process improves or changes.

  22. 45% is easy to acheive and you don't have to dip into the fighting pool for it and you don't have to make any big sacrifices.

    So 45% is my recommendation. I've played a blaster, kin, fire/cold and ice/dark all with softcapped ranged defense 45-47% and the difference is tremendous. The only purple insps I have on me are those that happen to drop. Otherwise I carry oranges and greens.

    It's amazing how easy this game is. 30 minute Master ITFs, 50 minute master RSFs. It's silly. SILLY!
  25. The mob I lay quicksand under does not move. This was on a team of 3, I haven't tried it solo. In all cases I've done it I was the first to attack and my opener was quicksand from around a corner.
