Nope.
I'm blind, see.

I love you, Term.

And I fully support this idea. -

No, but if they ask me to fill, I can now legally say "RTFM" and it will mean something.

Er...
Run The Futher Mocker?
Edit: Oooooh! Er, I think what I'm thinking is what you're thinking. At least, I think that's what you're thinking. -

AE can also be seen as Æ which is the Latin symbol for copper.

Say...
What's the alt+# combination for that little icon? -
[ QUOTE ]
AE farms are a symptom, not the problem.
Mission farming was a symptom of the same problem - The only reason it was more limited was because not everyone could do it. All AE has done is put everyone on an even playing field.
[/ QUOTE ]
Huh?
Evening the playing field is not to give access to everyone, it's to make AE farm access roughly as limited to mission farming. -

Regarding the OP:
Emphatically disagree.
[/ QUOTE ]
This. But I still think AE can be saved.
My plan: Use Bad_Influence's idea to take out AE from Atlas, Galaxy, Mercy and Kings Row. In addition, find a way to further restrict/downright remove AE's auto sidekick system. -

Yeah, now.
It's funnier when you read it the first time. Maybe not 'laugh out loud' funny, but funny enough for a slight grin or a snerk. -

I came off sounding like a d-bag in that sentence. I believe that a dev once said that droning is a valid tactic in pvp. As such, droning is possibly the easiest thing to avoid. Not being near the base, oranges, or a Kin easily negates being droned. It's funny when people get droned then [censored] about it.
[/ QUOTE ]
Nah, it came off as intended. Maybe a little tiny bit harsher then intended, but you still made a point.
It made me take a long look over what I had typed. -
[ QUOTE ]
Fire is a prime example of a person who would petition Twixt and grief him after being TPed into base drones.
[/ QUOTE ]
Under certain conditions, mind you.
If I told him to stop through tells, then he went on doing it repeatedly, I would simply leave the zone. If he were to make the situation worse by letting people know of my location, I would either fight for myself, leave, or temporarily put him on ignore. I would only petition him if he were mocking me/attempting to make the situation worse then it already was. I.e. Logging my death then putting it on public display and/or lashing out uncalled for public or personal insults.
Now, take a look at the bolded yellow word. Why on earth would I grief him?

TPing people into drones is griefing as others have said
[/ QUOTE ]
It's players like you that provided the basis for Twixt's paper. Your above comment goes to prove you know nothing about PvP. If it were illegal TP Foe and Drones would have been removed by the Devs a long time ago.
Read and learn.
[/ QUOTE ]
The drones weren't intended for that purpose. The drones were in place to prevent camping, a form of griefing. Twixt saw a different use for it, an opportunity to take advantage of it, and went for it. What twixt was blissfully unaware of was that it was still illegal by the game's rules, as per EULA. In other words, breaking intended purpose to gain something unfairly or harass another player.
[/ QUOTE ]
This paragraph right here shows that you know nothing of pvp.
[/ QUOTE ]
Probably not, I haven't been actively involved in about two years!
But you're right. I caught my error, just give me a moment to edit. -
He wasn't cyber stalking.
I could see him being banned from chat, or receiving a one to three days suspension on rare occasions, sure. But if all he's doing is provoking people and trying to stir up trouble, he's not going to get 'permabanned'. But that's NOT to say that the GMs won't take action on harassment. The winter events are good examples.
I have received a warning for a... Spirited debate I had in chat (Guilty!), so I have no doubt that Twixt would get into some sort of trouble while he was provoking others. He would never admit to it, though. His paper is on the line. You wouldn't have access to his E-mail or his account, would you? I suppose you wouldn't know without having had access to both. -

The drones weren't intended for that purpose. The drones were in place to prevent hospital camping, a form of griefing. Twixt saw a different use for it, an opportunity to take advantage of it, and went for it. What twixt was blissfully unaware of was that it was still punishable in case by case examination. In other words, breaking intended purpose to gain something unfairly or harass another player can lead to trouble with customer support.
Let me describe it a different way:
Within the game's mechanics, droning or the use of other NPCs to gain a personal advantage is possible. Within the general rules of PvP, it's possible and occasionally allowed... Usually as a last resort. However, using such repeatedly is considered cheap among the community, simply because it prevents fighting solely on one's powers and the knowledge of the immediate surroundings. But your right, it's still allowed. Allowed, and can possibly even be done tastefully. What's not allowed is the repeated prevention of a person's enjoyment, otherwise known as harassment, as per the Terms of Service.
Before you argue that NPCs can be considered part of the surrounding environment, allow me to stop you. You're right. However, like all rules, the use of an NPC is only allowed to an extent. Happen to start a fight while one person was attacking a few NPCs? Go for it. It adds an element of danger to one or both sides when done strategically. But continuing to use it with malicious intent, all for the benefit of personal gain, changes 'fair game' to ill conduct and 'harassment.' So, while drones were added to prevent griefing, it unlocked new forms of griefing.
And again, while using chat to chat is possible and allowed, provoking another player begins crossing the line of conduct. After which, the continuing use of bad conduct eventually crosses the line of harassment.
Things are allowed, but often to an extent. And just because it's possible, doesn't make it acceptable.
Edit: Edited for clarification. -
Sorry, bud'. Being a fan don't make his actions morally resistant.
Edit: Well, darn it... I went over a year without a snarky response.
I shall take this part of my post to joke and be merry.

Hero side task force: 2 hours 13 minutes
The fight against Reichsman took about forty-five minutes, but we defeated him. No one on the Task Force did it before. We wasted most of our temporary powers before realizing we were using them at the wrong time. We had no de-buffs beyond our /dark defender hitting Howling Twilight for the -regeneration, as well as Darkest Night... Which does nothing to help us hurt him any faster. I would have had fun, if it wasn't for the fact that we had one of the most useless, annoying, chatterbox blasters on planet earth. Love the guy, but he should never be introduced to an energy drink.
Villain side task force: 2 hours 45 minutes
The fight against Reichsman took about thirty-five minutes, be we defeated him. Only one person on the Task Force knew a little bit of what to do, but all of this information was based on what he read on the forums. None of us had temporary powers because, when we died, they disappeared and we didn't know how to respawn them. This was also on a team where there were no Brutes to help divert Reichsman's attention. Even better, we originally had seven people, but we lost one on the third mission, dropping it to six. He didn't quit, forcing us to fight through seven spawn enemies.
Relax. Both Task Forces are possible, even under annoying circumstances. -

My first hero was a Mutation Scrapper...
My problem was that I didn't know you had to click on the door to continue searching the warehouse. I remade the character, ended up getting the mission again, then got frustrated that I had no idea what I was doing. When help arrived, I was so relieved. -

Even if you're not posting anymore in this thread, Not_Rhino, I want to point out a few things.
A.) I do NOT feel good petitioning someone else's good time. But it's their good time that might shorten the good time of other players. Should this game lose money, we may lose jobs; things begin to go at a slower pace. I would fear to be hit so badly as for the game to stop all together. Do I wish I would never have to bother with it? Certainly. In a perfect world, I would allow for such a thing to happen and continue on my way. But as it stands, the real world is too unstable to allow me the chance.
I don't like it, so much so that early on, there were a few cases I didn't petition. I pitied the person in obscure violation. I certainly won't smile when I petition today, and believe me when I say that I'm always thinking about the community when I finally hit the button. For the benefit of the community, not just one person's enjoyment.
B.) You brought up a general sore spot with the community, bringing up AE farms. But let me tell you that I've been there, in that position. Do I think of anyone less for having farmed the living daylights out of Communications Officers? No. I've been there. And after awhile I slowed down, the fun began to die, then the official announcement was made that any farms in violation would be banned; that any characters taking advantage of the system may be deleted.
I started to see if I could look at things through a developer's point of view. I asked myself, "Is it wrong?" To a certain degree, yes. New players suddenly don't know how to play the game, or even learns to play the game incorrectly, intentionally. Some new players quit with lack of enjoyment, unable to realize that the fun they could have had, they spoiled. But they didn't know that. It's my job to see that they find out just how fun this game can be, the way it was made to be.
I still feel that veterans should have a little leeway, like in my case of having five level fifties scattered among the servers, bored with the regular way of doing things in favor of rewards. But that wouldn't get me anywhere, and it's unfair to the new players. As such, I decided to stop. But I don't like someone less that's still doing it, or previously had done it. They just don't see things the way I do. I'll see if I can help that, if I can.
