  1. I have been away for about nine months, and this 2xp weekend really seemed like a regular weekend on Freedom about a year ago. When it is (relatively) tough to get a sewer team together on 2xp weekend due to inactivity in AP, then the game has changed dramatically over time. Sure, PI had 3 instances, but that used to be the case on a fairly regular basis. It just seems like there is no new blood in the game, and without that new blood/interest this game will simply wither and die. I know I got bored and quit playing after about 45 minutes. I don't know what they did to the whole sidekick mechanics, but I really don't like it now. It was sad for me because I used to really like to play this game (far too much).

    Have fun doing the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over again.

  2. Any news on more powerset proliferation (beyond the two new sets)?
  3. They really need to make some of these base plot designs tradeable/sellable ingame. The designers (Comic, I'm looking at you) really need to be compensated (either in real dollars or inf or prestige) for the time and effort they put in thier bases. Really, how different is time spent in base construction than time spent in farming or straight game playing? All of them require a subscription, all of them require in-game time; the latter two result in inf/drops or whatnot while good base construction is relegated to photobucket tours if you're not on their server. Maybe it will be an option with the new player generated content that the devs will allow.
  4. I will say this: I was one of the first people on this thread complaining about the lockout/lowered cap on Freedom on Friday night. I was pretty upset about not being able to play the game. I am pretty amazed at how fast the devs 1) responded to the issue within the forums, informing us of what was going on, and 2) how fast they took steps to undo the lowered pop cap on freedom allowing players to play--even if it was a bit laggy (trust me, it wasn't that bad--especially considering what we had been used to in the past before the server upgrades).

    I'd just like to thank the devs for listening to the player base on this issue and moving quickly to resolve it. I think the attentiveness of the devs to player concerns (see also, some of the recent changes to old powersets, new powersets, new in'game QoL issues, etc, etc....) really exemplifies a new life for the CoX universe.

    This is the only MMO I've ever played, so I didn't realize that the problems encountered over the weekend on Freedom were par for the course for other MMO's.

    to stagger the load you have to change the parameters of double xp weekend ~

    the easy solution is an in game timer on each account. everyone gets X amount of predetermined double xp hours; same as a the concept of a nemi staff ~

    this ALSO allows for those that work weekends to participate.

    Double xp weekend needs to be extended if we can't play our toons.
