What hero did you have in mind?
I'm not all that great at making costumes, myself. But I find that borrowing a bit from established heroes tends to make the costume look better to me. For example.
Not as good as whats already been posted, but it'd be something you might see my characters using.
Also, keep in mind that auras might clash with some costumes. My tanker was originally wearing black, but I ended up with that white suit. I originally made it out of annoyance about how bright Inv's auras + Rage's aura made the dude look. I figured I might as well go the whole nine and make it so he causes my eyes to bleed if I look at him for too long...
Edit: I just realized how often I use those damned gloves and boots... -

This is one thing that gets me when game developers say, "Players don't like instancing! It ruins the immersion! They want wide open worlds!"
Wide open worlds are great, sure, but nothing kills immersion like being the 8th in line to acquire a supposed unique item from a mob that respawns every 15 minutes.

You'd be surprised how many people actually LIKE that kind of thing.
There are people who demand everything that would drive most of us away from a game... They think it means something that they allowed themselves to sit through the frustration.
You can usually spot them fairly easily when they start talking about how "wonderful" EQ was. -
Its too hard to answer with just a word. I mean, I like some of the PvP aspects here, but not all... so I guess my response would have to look like:

My update for this weekend so far is that they gun animations tends to dissapear if one of two things happen. (1) The target dies mid shot (2) they lose agro of the target mid shot. My MM also had the guns disappear mid shot because the target died before the gun went off.

This actually isn't something that only happens to Thugs. It happens to every MM set(except bots since they don't actually pull any weapons out). Ninja lose their swords, Mercs lose the guns... This is something thats been around since beta. -

Check the MM forum... I posted some pics of 5 of the thugs(only one missing is the bruiser).
Thugs get a single pistol before the first upgrade, 2 after. They get a straight single shot, a sideways "gangsta" style shot, and a dual pistol shot.
The Arsonist starts off with Molotov Cocktails, and get fire breath with the upgrade. He does quite a lot of damage, resists fire, and his attacks all leave a rapid, mid damage(ticks of 2 dmg), DoT.
Enforcers start off with a 2 handed machine gun, and switch to uzzies(sp?) after the upgrade. They do a left handed DoT shot, right handed DoT shot, and a right handed DoT cone(from the looks of it).
I'm only level 15, so some other MM will have to fill you in on the other attacks that you get from the lvl32 upgrade... As well as the attacks the Bruiser gets. -

I haven't noticed this. Mine usually keep both guns out and alternate between shots. Dual Shot, single shot(sideways gun position), single shot(normal) and then which ever one recycles first. They never put any gun away during this until their target dies, but I remember my Mercs doing that, too, so its normal. -
Ok, just found a text error in the Thug Desc. that, for some reason, hadn't caught my eye until now.
The text reads: "His gang related acativitied has taught him well..."
I'm guessing its supposed to say "activities have taught" -
Ok, got to level 5, and this is whats been bothering me so far:
1. The thug seems to lag behind all the time. I don't know if its server lag or if its the thug, but their run speed seems to be pretty slow. I keep leaving him behind and having to wait a while for him to catch up.(Its been a while since I've played an MM, so forgive me if thats just the way it is for the AT)
2. Is it supposed to say "Call Thugs" above their HP/END bars? Shouldn't it just say "Thugs"?
3. As was said above, the whistle to summon them might get annoying after a while, especially if its used for every one of the minions.
Everything else seems good so far, as far as I can tell. -

Tried a elec/elec brute...and from what I saw before any slotting I was not impressed...might get better at higher levels but at this level I couldnt even take out one LT and a minion....very sad...not sure if elec brute is gonna be for me.

As it currently stands, your ability to be successful in PvP depends almost completely on your initial choice at the character creation screen. You may be an extremely skilled PvE gamer who knows the ins and outs of your AT and many others, yet sadly this skill falls by the wayside all too often. At times you will be apoplectically angry and curse the game for not allowing your specific AT/Powerset to be successful while seeing another completely dominating the zone. Take a time out and get a glass of chocolate milk. If you take anything from this section let it be: Your ability to be successful in PvP rests very highly upon what AT/Powersets you chose at the character creation screen, not personal skill.

I did believe this and do believe it still. Except, as I PVP more and more with my PVE power sets (I am a PVP gimp with my Controllers, yet love playing them the most), I have learned to compensate. Given enough time, you will amaze yourself at your ability to take your gimpy PVE power choices and survive in PVP. It is just WAY more difficult

Controllers are not gimpy. They are powerful, even with just PvE builds they are the second biggest threat in PvP. The largest threat being blappers.
You want to see gimpy? Try using a Dom or an AR/Traps Corruptor... or a MM.
Btw... Anyone else think that "this is a team vs team PvP kind of game" is just dev speak for: "We don't have the time, nor the resources to make things even for 1vs1, so just throw more people at a hero if you're having trouble" -

They don't have to one shot you. They've got the ability to neuter you so that they can take their time with you. A Stalker can't take its time with anyone. The danger for a stalker staying out in the open grows exponentially with each passing moment. -

The largest threat, is a controller. They can debuff you, buff their teammates, heal them... and turn you into a defenseless punching bag. -

You can TP from way more than 75 yards...
And Stealth with Hide gets you to your stealth cap...
Also... Aim isnt a good defense for stealth...

About TPing from above:
An intelligent Blapper wont be standing still for longer than it takes for their strongest attack to animate.(Which is usually the only time available for an AS.)
I doubt anyone can guess who the blaster will attack next and where they'll be completing the animation. You can start the animation near an enemy and end up like 40 yrds away.
Porting next to an intelligent Blaster is quite a feat. Porting next to them, and pulling off an AS is an even greater feat.
Come to Justice for a while and try to AS someone like Princess Doll or Posibot... [censored], you don't have to AS them, just try killing them when their emps are about. -

One other NB Stalker and I were engaged in a little bit of a duel(both of us AS'd the same controller and turned to attack each other). After the first couple of swings, 2 groups, one hero, one villain, stopped attacking each other and came after us.
We weren't even in that mass of players, but they turned and chased after us. -

Only the ones that want a no risk, 1-shot kill will run away. The others know that they have (1) Scrapper's defense, (2) Scrapper's status-effect resistance, (3) 90% of Blaster's damage, (4) Placate so you can't fight back, (5) Almost on-demand critical
If a Stalker runs-away when AS misses or fails to one-shot you, they are only playing to gank, in my opinion.

I get AS'd multiple times daily
I got AS'd last night, because I cast a RAdiation Infection on a NPC. Yes I was moving around before I cast it. Yes, I was moving after I cast it. No, I don't have Whirlwind. So, I had to wait out the Radiation Infection activation time and got 1-shot killed.....
