Was good fun. And I'm up for some weekend teaming. Saturday or Sunday are both good for me.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Oh scratch that. It all depends on how good the new Harry Potter book is.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Ditto.
  2. I'll be off this weekend. I might try to reach L12 so I can catch up with you lot when I'm back.
  3. I'm used to call "Cages" to powers like Detention Field, Sonic Cage and all other kind of capture powers. Not talking about Fire or Stone Cages
  4. Updated list:

    Spirit: Mind/FF
    LeonHart: Undecided
    False_Fiction: Ice/Sonic
    UnknownWarrior: Earth/Sonic
    Ilusionist: Ice/Kin
    Lady_Darkforce: Grav/Rad
    Firekitty: Earth or Ice /Sonic
    Knightly: Ill/Ta, Fire/Storm or Mind/Emp
    Empath: Mind/ Rad or FF
    Nightmare: Ill/Kin
    Inercia: Grav/Rad
  5. We are controllers, gentlemen. I'm sure most of us are experienced enough to take those mezzers out of combat before they get us into any kind of trouble. Holds, cages, confuses, dishorients, knockdowns... Yea, I would say we are 'ok'
  6. So far we got a nice mix. It's interesting to note that no one's picking Fire/ Maybe we should create a channel for this team so it will be easier to gather up when we log in.
  7. Yummyy.. Kin Mind/Kin or Ice/Sonic. Still trying to figure it out
  8. I think I'll go Ice/FF or Ice/Sonic. Really depends on the other members.
  9. Haven't done refresh so I didn't see that part Onion it is then
  10. I'm out of slots on Defiant. But maybe I can delete an alt if needed.
  11. I'm game. Can't decide which combo yet, but count me in.
  12. All I'm saying is when someone comes up with a supertroller team it doesn't have to be necessarily Fire/Rad.

Sure thing, it's very effective and you'll have a blast with it. Good luck
  13. It's good and the graphics combo is great. Enjoy
  14. Actually when I read the topic "Controller superteam" I found it interesting. But if it's all about Fire/Rad then it isn't that amusing for me.

There are other kinds of teams that can be great fun and a bit more challenging than Fire/Rad. I can see myself having great fun with an All-/FF team for example. Excellent defence (let's go crazy and call it perma-elude), no debuffs (then you actually had to fight) and no heals. This might not be as perfect as Fire/Rad since you probably would need Stamina and wouldn't have heals for a critical moment, but it would definately be more challenging.

All /Sonic could also work. There are tons of players willing to make a Sonic toon just cuz of the new graphs. Beside the graphs, you'd have excellent resistance and great -res potential (8 disruption fields should be quite nasty). Then again, no heals. So what? Dying can be fun sometimes. Superteams should be played nice and slowly (unless you're in a rush for yet another 50).

All /Storm should be fun, but way too chaotic. All /Kin are fairly common. All /Empath should be interesting too, just not my cup of tea.

All /TA? Sure. Excellent debuffs, extra hold, slows, ranged AoE hold. Oh right.. and you get 8 Oil-Slicks.

A mixed team is certainly fun and very powerful.

That said, if anyone comes with any of this ideas, I'm totally up for it. I'm just too lazy to start it myself.
  15. I've formed a Fire/Rad team a while ago. Got bored right after getting imps. So, I guess I'll pass it this time. Fire/ isn't my cup of tea. Good luck tho
  16. I'd be interested, but not as a Fire/ troller. I'd rather go Mind/ or Ice/ if that's ok.

    @False Fiction
  17. Fire is all about AoE goodness. Ice is awesome too tho. You get a couple AoE powers (Ice Storm, Frost Breath and Blizzard) , excellent ST damage and 3 holds (Freeze Ray, Bitter Freeze Ray and Fearsome Stare).

Besides, Ice Storm works better with Tar Patch than Fire does. Why? Cuz it stacks slows, making it impossible to run away from that deadly patch.

I'm actually trying to figure which combo to play (Fire/Dark or Ice/Dark) and I might eventually go for Ice, just cuz I love Blizzard + Tar Patch.
  18. I love my Earth/Rad. Earth Gnome's background is quite similar to yours actually

    Pros:
    - Excellent crowd control
    - Great debuffs, always welcomed to any team
    - Self-heal (if you do consider this a pro, that is. I don't, but it's always handy)
    - Lovely pulse hold (works pretty much like Spectral Terror from Illusion.
    - Animated Stone can work pretty much as a Tanker whenever you need. IIRC Animated Stone and Jack Frost will get a new brain when I10 comes out, making them go more into melee (which is good).

    Cons:
    - I don't see any, really. If you're intending to solo, then this is probably not the best combo you can get since Earth's damage is rubbish. You're meant to shine in teams.

That said, it's more than an "alright combo". For me it's one of the best. Give it a try
  19. Ninja/Poison says I. Active, powerful and fun. (I am biased)
  20. That helped a lot I've finally started with EBs (all on Relentless). Sea Witch was my first victim but she wasn't even a challenge. I've had more troubles with a Ludities' Boss in the previous room than the EB itself. I'm looking forward to kick Echo's butt now.

At what level and from which contact should I get my first AV? I believe Barracuda was the first AV I've got with my Brute. But that was ages ago, can't really remember where and which contact I got it from.
  21. Got it. *Note to self: Poison's poison trap sucks.*

I'm L13 now. Got my Jounin and now things are so much better. I run Relentless missions without problems, but I'm still having some troubles with macros (I've never used it before, but it seems quite hard to control the pets without it). Are there any especific macros I should use? So far I got the Follow, Attack, GoTo, Passive, Agressive, Stay and Defensive macros. I'm guessing this isn't enough if I want to have total control of my pets. Any other macros I should add?

    Help needed

Both TA and Traps seem fun to me. Oil Slick is not meant to be a damage power only, it also gives you excellent control (knockdown, -def, -speed). However I believe it's still bugged, so that might not be a good choice for now.
  23. I've hit L10 yesterday with Ninja/Poison. I must say I'm a bit dissapointed with my Jenins. I know they are one level below me and will become 3 lvls below when I hit 18. But they really die in no time, especialy against Damned bosses (my missions are on malicious, so the Genins are fightning +2/+3. Is it even worth to slot it with damage? Or shall I go for Disorients?

On the poison side, I guess I will have to wait for IOs/SOs so I can notice my debuffs better. I'm planning on getting all Poison powers but Elixir of Life. Antidote sounds like a good option to spam on my pets or even on my teamates if I get to team a bit.

About Necro, I might roll one today. But not with /Poison. Maybe with /Dark. We'll see.

I thought of Necro but according to what I've read, the damage output isn't so good, izzit?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I beg you, I got my Necro / Dark to level 41 the other day, and my damage is shocking...Seriously, I'm embarassed to play her Ninja / Poison would be soo much better!

    Bleak

    [/ QUOTE ]

Is it that bad or are you being sarcastic? I got to L6 with Ninja/Poison. So far I'm doing ok, but Alkaloid is quite End heavy. Anyway, I still haven't deleted him so I guess that's a good sign
  25. Thanks for the input. I'm testing a Ninja/Poison atm. I thought of Necro but according to what I've read, the damage output isn't so good, izzit? I might give it a try tho. A mix of Lethal and Toxic damage sounds interesting to me. Any tips?

    Cheers.
